  • Hi Guys in this episode I'm replacing the thermostat, in my car you have to remove the cooler intake pipe, in a stock Accord is the same process to remove the intake.
    make sure your car is cool and dispose your coolant properly because if animal drink it they will die because is sweet to the taste.
    If you have any questions on this installation make sure you comment in the video.

    IMPORTANT - only take off the top thermostat cover with the 10mm bolts.
    DO NOT undo the 12mm bolts of the rest of the assembly behind as it is very difficult and time-consuming to get back without leaks as there is a big pipe going into the side of it at 45 degrees with only a rubber O-ring to seal it.

    hi Bullet still working on my Honda Accord 2000, heat problem. Replaced thermostat at shop. Nope. Now, I go back we are gonna do heater core flush with Machine. $100+. They say the heater control valve is good. Blend door actuator good. Still no heat! I do not have a place to flush heater core by myself. Changed cabin filters. I have new Heater core valve coming from RockAuto just in case.

    Excellent video my friend, understood very well... Great detail. One question. On the hose you are replacing, it looks like it has been replaced before, because I noticed going back towards the firewall it does a loop around. It's not supposed to do that is it? It seems like you could get a shorter hose and run it straight back with no loop around... Also, excellent English. You explained the work very well... Thanks!

    Thanks for the great video! I'm still a little unclear about the procedure of bleeding out air at the end. By topping off antifreeze at the radiator cap while engine is off, the antifreeze will get sucked into hose and bubble up to bleed out at the loosened nut above the thermostat by itself? Or, should the engine be running in order to bleed out the air inside the hose? Btw, any idea where the coolant temperature sensor might be located on the 98 accord? Is it near where the thermostat is located, or down under near the radiator drain plug? My ignition switch went out and am in the process of getting that replaced. Don't know if that is the cause of my radiator fans not coming on while the engine is running, or perhaps a faulty thermo coolant sensor switch is to blame.

    • @BulletSolano
      @BulletSolano  Před 5 lety +4

    Looks like your heater hose broke down near where it attaches to the block. This is under the distributor o-ring, which is probably dripping hot oil onto the hose. Change that o-ring or the new hose will also get damaged.

    • @BulletSolano
