    Those bars are perfect. I’m looking to mount them down low. More of a classic naked bike height. How was running the wires? I’ve heard stories of people struggling to get the wires through the smaller openings in these. Might just be negative marketing by the Harley spare parts folks.

      It is a little tricky to get the wiring through the bars. I only had to depin one of the clips on the right hand side controls to fit them through the bars. Otherwise if you're patient and have plenty of time it can be done without any issues.

    Good to see people doing there own custom work, not hating on it at all in any way (the club style look is over done & certainly not my thing) but the wiring should have come down through your upper triple tree where it was stock

    • @TheGingybeardMan
      @TheGingybeardMan  Před 5 lety

      Was wondering how long it would take someone to realise how I run the wiring. The stock wiring is a bit too short with the 10 inch risers if you run it through the triple trees the way it was stock.
      I personally havnt seen many club style harleys in Aus. As you can see I'm a huge fan of the style..... I guess that's all that matters though.

      @@TheGingybeardMan hahaha yeah I am OCD when it comes to my cars n bikes especially so I notice things like that
      There is tons of older Dyna Street Bob etc bikes done with the "club style" look in Aus & more & more of the M8's popping up, they all have something a bit different I guess but all the same visually really, I couldnt have that, im all about creating a different look & finding them different unique parts that nobody else has or has never even seen
      1 thing I dont get though is the club style bar setup overall with 10" risers....sure it changes the look but the stock bars are around 10"-11" rise anyway so the actual rise is the same, it is now just limited to a tiny bit of adjustment rolling the MX shape bars forward & back a tiny bit, might change the overall feel a bit but the grips are around the same spot but the gauge setup has been messed with & moved up which leaves all the wiring hanging out & just seems pointless for no real actual gain
      I had to roll the stock bars forward a tiny bit to make it comfy for me (5'11"), with your new setup it looks like the bars are back quite a bit now which might be fine for you I guess but it would be terrible for me
      How does the new setup feel compared to the stock bars
      Again as mentioned not hating on it I just dont get it
