    This is one reason why I love the old equipment, would rather work on them than today's junk.

    Good morning Warren. Got to Albany, NY a little after 1am and saw a Vidya alert on my phone. So happy so see I had something to watch after work this morning. Thank you
    Quick Tip, nylon straps on packages. Find the seam, flip it over and pull on the extra tab. Then you should be able to break it with your fingers, or cut it MUCH easier. Hope that helps Anyone that reads this.

    Hi Warren, it was explained to me, when you have two materials interfacing, the softer one will wear out the harder one. Something to do with the softer one getting impregnated with stray material and like sandpaper wearing out the harder one. I’ve seen corrugated split tubing wear through aluminium fuel tanks. Love your work too. Michael.

    • @KStewart-th4sk
      @KStewart-th4sk Před 2 měsíci

      "Wear can also occur on the harder material but the conditions for this have not yet been elucidated." Well i didn't get much help doing a quick search on the subject. It doesn't seem to make sense that the harder material would wear first. I guess the aluminum housing is somewhat porous so maybe your post has some validity. Thanks.

      @@Mike__james I wonder if there are any figures on what these battery-operated tools actually cost a tradesman who is using them constantly? I worked in a large shop for a large company where they went to electric drills, cut-off tools, etc. BUT everything being provided to us, when a battery gave out, we just went and asked for another one. Still had a lot of air tools though in the tool cabinets and the grinders got the most work.
