I still like Castle and have him 5th on my board, but understand the concerns. I watched a bunch of Sheppard last few days and I'm convinced there's no way he's not a rotational player at worst. I'd bet he probably becomes a starter. His tenaciousness on D reminds me of the mighty mites back many years ago. Small, but always in your grill and make life hard. If I'm Ainge, I go and get him
I will be really disappointed if we end up with Williams at #10; he is so passive and can disappear for long stretches. However, his teammate KJ Simpson was incredibly impressive to watch last season especially in that USC game that went overtime: he was the best player on the floor among the five other guys who will be drafted including Bronny James who looked so out of place. In fact, DJ Rodman, his teammate, always looked good whenever I saw him. I bet he gets signed by someone.

David I haven't heard you talk much about Sarr and I was wondering what your thoughts are on him? I still see him as the general consensus for the 1st pick, but what do your numbers show on him?

There is a perfect fit alongside George and his name is Dante Exum. Maybe Mavs do this trade to get another scorer. Clarkson and Yurtseven for Exum, Powel and Hardaway.

Houston is one of those FO that weighs stats pretty heavily so you would think they jump all over Sheppard especially since his path to playing time is more clear than most other guys in that range on top of skill fits
But yeah even big fans of him is really trying to dial back our expectations because the stats actually says he might be a all NBA level guy, the closest stats + age + style comp in college this century to him might be James Harden
If it comes down to Williams and Topic when we're actually picking, we have a good problem on our hands. I tend to think Topic is the pick in that scenario, but I'm fine if they pick Williams too.
Love the numbers on Sheppard and Dillingham
Iâd bet the jazz move up to three and take Sheppard. Maybe #10 and Clarkson gets it done?
I think Houston wants veterans more than multiple picks
The recent history of jumping up in the upper lotto have been two trades where teams traded another first round pick to move up two spots ( Tatum and Luka), jumping up 7 spots almost certainly cost a lot more, so youâre valuing Clarkson as being worth well north of one good first round pick ( maybe two middle first rounders) , Iâd just say that probably not many front office would agree with that valuation

Jaden Hardy, but he shot well before Ignite and is in a much smaller role in NBA, everyone else only went from terrible to iffy at best
