I would move up to pick Reed Sheppard, but no one else. I also really hope the Jazz tank for the 2025 and 2026 drafts.
I like that they're trying to consolidate talent and assets into better talent.
I like Castle and Sheppard. I don’t get Leif’s hatred for Reed. If you switched the talents of each player, Sheppard with Castles body would be the clear #1, whereas Castles with Sheppards body barely makes the league. You can’t ignore that shooting and the way he impacts the game. I think both are good, if you believe Castle can shoot, then he’s the best prospect. If not, then Sheppard has a skill you will always need, he ain’t no Jimmer.
I would be really disappointed if we traded up to get an NBA player who can't shoot...Also shooting should matter. The whole idea is to score more points than the team we play, I don't understand but we ever look at players who can't shoot.
I like the OKC trade. That's a clear path tank.
We need someone who can compete with Joker, Davis, and Wemby. I think we could use Clingans toughness and extra size. We’ve seen what primarily a rim protector can do against elite teams. Timberwolves beat Denver with swarming fast defense, not rim protection.
Rockets should ask for a future 1st rounder and 2 future seconds for #3.
I'd gladly take reed shppard at 3 if they traded up. I do like Castle a lot, but depending on the asking price to trade up, may be too rich. The 10 and 2 future 2nds? absolutely! 10, 32, and a future 2nd? yes!
Dillingham should not be a target at 3 or 10. Get the scoring punch, but the archetype is neither a typically successful one, nor a great fit for Utah’s current roster (fwiw).
Brandon Ingram is a very good player. He is also very injury prone, which won’t get better with age. His game is also not conducive to what Utah needs (too much to list), and imho, he is certainly not going to be worth the price.
TM3 would be a tremendous add, but there is no way that is happening.
Is Reed Shepherd John Stockton? If so he's the pick.
Kessler has become one of the best values of his draft, and we have 5 more years of rights to him. Foolish to trade him. Sexton and Clarkson are the more likely vet trade bait as neither likely have a future with Utah.
Trade up to #3 only for Sheppard!
The Jazz pick to OKC is still top ten protected next year and top 8 protected year after. After those two years Jazz doesn't need to convey it if they haven't yet 🙂

Man you’re really low on Sheppard and I don’t quite get it, he sure looked like a point guard whenever he actually pushed the ball or initiated in pick and rolls, unless you’re basing point guard strictly on guys that can rim pressure every time down , half his threes were off the bounce and he was almost equally successful in those
Yeah for a team that might not have any other serious advantage creator or is locked into a just as small guy as their franchise I suppose he doesn’t make sense, but the end goal is to get a team that plays best together, not five of the best individual theoretical guy that does nothing to extend each other advantage or even trip over each other
If Reed is a real starting point guard he’s at least Fred Vanvleet
Jazz fans seem to forget that John Stockton was only 6'1" tall. Now, I'm not saying Sheppard is going to become the next John Stockton, but he's worth the gamble. At ten, I like Stephon Castle, Rob Dillingham and Dalton Knecht. I'll take a pass on Clingan.
Trade up for Castle
Drafting players that only become an average NBA players gains nothing when it comes to building a championship team. An NBA team can always sign average NBA players and have an average team every year from free agency. We don't want to build an average NBA team from the draft. Either draft a player with elite skills which should almost always include excellent shooting skills or trade out of the draft and build assets or trade for a player that is elite if available. I would trade for the #3 pick for the #10 pick and Walker as quick as possible. Walker Kessler at best, is a future average center. Houston would be crazy to do the deal. Not happening at that price.
I like Klil Ware best out of any of the centers. I know he’s got a questionable attitude but he’s the most talented just needs to get a better motor. I would take Castle at 3. I have him 1st on my board since he’s showed he can shoot 3 pointers 18 of 25 at the combine.
Im one who feels the same about Sheppard. Its great that he can shoot lights out, but the Finals are showing that you need multidimensional players because the smaller scoring guards are getting cooked on defense. Rather trade up for Castle and then work on the shooting

Donovan is NOT a runt. His reach and vertical put him right on par with most SGs. SMH. Sheppard is special. Only a fool passes on a guy like this because of metrics.
I have no idea why folks are enamored with Reed. He's short, unathletic, almost 100% will be a terrible defender. Yes, he shoots well. IMO he is Jimmer 2.0. He is certainly not a PG. I personally am sick and tired of these short combo guards. We need size in the backcourt.
If I have to hear about castle one more time trade up for that garbage guy he can not shoot at all we already have that guy and he can not get minutes castle is just a bad offensive player how anyone can watch tape on him and then want to draft him is crazy
Giddey is not welcome on the team I root for. And he cant shoot. Hes a weak link wherever he goes. And hes a chi-mo so ummm, maybe lets not have that.

I don't understand for the life of me why you'd want to be targeting a 3 and D PF when you literally just drafted Hendricks to play that role. Make it make sense.
the cost (trade plus contract) to acquire Ingram makes that move prohibitive. Just continue to build through the draft and hope teams ahead of you make huge mistakes (like they always do) and someone falls. George, Castle, Holland, Carrington and many more are perfect building blocks towards that goal and one of them will be there at pick #10
