Imagine when the cops let these people just drive away with traffic tickets! They can hit someone's car or God forbid kill someone. Then what? That person or surviving family members should be able to sue every police department that let these idiots off with warnings and citations. But it's their usual logic that makes no sense anyway.

Turns a 10 minute speeding ticket into a hour long drama. He completely understands the law and is intentionally causing this drama. Throw him in jail and perhaps he will learn his lesson.
Adam is the reason, why naughty children need to learn consequences for their actions. They grow up to have no respect, and think the world owes them something.
Schools are just as much at fault as parents. Nobody ever gets negative consequences. There are accommodations so they never have to experience anxiety. They don't learn to respect their teachers. And parents swoop in at the first sign of distress.
That’s like real life, go to the military and you get a daily use stress card. Where you can tell the sergeant to shut up or that you just can’t handle the emotional stress of an exercise. Go back to your barracks to relax.

I have a particular dislike for people like Adam for a good reason.
I was on my way to work one morning when an unlicensed, unregistered, and uninsured, driver plowed into my vehicle causing me to be hospitalised for multiple fractures. To top it off my car burst into flames and my thousands of dollars worth of tools (with which I make my living) were destroyed. It cost me time off work with no sick pay as a self employed subcontractor, financial hardship paying for my recovery, replacing my tools and vehicle. I was insured but it never fully makes up for it. I bought my vehicle at a bargain, there’s no way I could get another like it got the price I did. Some of my tools were handed down to me by my father and grandfather, family heirlooms almost that were destroyed in minutes. My income insurance barely covered my losses and was basically for subsistence living. The premium was too costly so I only had the basic coverage to satisfy my bank. Speaking of banks by the way…. banks don’t wait for their money for the mortgage or loans I have. I spent extra money just paying the interest instead of reducing the principal of the loan. My wife and I had budgeted well and we were on target to pay off our mortgage a little earlier. Not now. It could’ve put a strain on my marriage, but thankfully my wife is incredibly supportive and we worked through the hardship that was foisted upon us by an irresponsible and selfish a-hole.

I think that for certain people who are in the beginning stages of paranoid mental illnesses, they want to check out from a society that terrifies them and sovcit gives them a false hope that they can maintain a semblance of normal life while not having to deal with society. Yet society must maintain law and order and for those incipiently ill people, when their sovcit fails, it can be brutal. For some sovcits it’s narcissism but I think for this dude he’s in serious trouble mentally where sovcit becomes truly insidious and destructive. I hope he gets the help he needs before it’s too late.

When you were issued a DL, you agreed to present that license when asked by a member of LE. The license does not belong to you, it belongs to the state of issuance. These cops gave him way too much time. the window should have been broken and this pansy removed, cuffed, and taken into custody until he either produces a valid DL or they find out on their own.

If he were to fight this in court, and the police officers involved not only showed up to testify but also let the judge see the video, there is a very good chance that the judge may put Adam in custody for a psychiatric evaluation.

Theres a videi of a traffic stop somewhare on UTube where a young, white deputy pulls over a black man on a rural highyway for expired plates.
It's the most incredible thing I've ever seen.
The black man is armed with two pistols on his body, and several other guns, including some automatic guns, in the trunk, plus he is wearing a face mask because this happened during covid.
The poise, courtesy, and direct honesty of the driver is amazing. He greets the deputy cordially as he approaches the vehicle and, holding his hands cslmly and deliberately on the top of the steering wheel where the deupty can see them, explains that he is armed, what he has and where he has it, what he is carrying on the trunk, and that he has paperwork for everything. When hhe deputy mentions the expired plate, the man apologizes, owns that he meant to take of it but forgot, and asks the deputy what he wants him to do.
It turns out that the black driver is ex-military, who now does firearms training.
By the end of the video there are a bunch cops around him, and they are discussing the weapons and what he does like old friends. I wouldn't be surprised if he wound up doing training for their department.
The point is, by everything that's portrayed about black.men and police, you'd have thought that this guy was in mortal danger, but at no time was he even nervous. He was calm, honest, courteous, direct, and cooperative and everything went completely smooth for him.
I swear.. Safelite should have a whole series of online advertisements that tell people to be SovCits. Replacing windows has to be big business with these folks!

I have been tying to tell a co-worker that he has fake plates(sovereign citizen). He told me about right to travel law and, I can't convince him otherwise. He's a young guy and I don't want him to end up like this, but nothing is getting through. It's sad but at least he hasn't been pulled over yet.
You did everything you could. He isn't willing to listen.
The only thing that will help is his being ticketed, arrested and fined.
It's a hard lesson but the only one that will make a difference.
