They’ve been around forever, and the world thought that they did not exist for the last couple hundred years until the internet shined a light into whatever dark crevice they had crawled into. Then their numbers grew when the exceptionally dim witted heard it and were convinced they were right.
It doesn’t help that courts will dismiss cases for a lot of reasons. I have seen numerous cases that a DA’s Office dismisses because it was old (because the person could not be found to arrest/serve with court papers for a long time, or because the case had been continued so many times that they just didn’t want to deal with it or the witness(es) could not or would not attend court anymore), because it would be bad PR (the DA’s Office is run by politicians), or just because they flat out did not want to deal with it. So when a SovCit gets their case dismissed for one of these reasons, they tote it around as a victory, which further emboldens and encourages them to continue their idiotic practices.

I don't understand the appeal to them of perpetually being the victim and claiming everyone is out to get them. Why not join society and cooperate with the rules of the road and law enforcement and pay your fair share of taxes that keep society functioning. Sovcits believe that an officer must cite the exact law to them in order for it to be a real arrest. In their view if the officer cant give them the accurate law word for word then the arrest is unlawful. They try and use that as a defense in court.

The officer should have called for backup as soon as the perp became combative.
FWC (Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission) is a state agency and they have very large areas they patrol and not many officers. There is only like 2-3 FWC officers in a county on duty at a time in most counties here. They have to rely on other agencies for backup if they need it usually.

I get the impression this was happening in a very rural location. In a more urban or suburban area of Florida, there would have been at least 3-4 backup officers there in a matter of minutes. But in a really rural part of the state, you might have like have only a few officers on duty with a few dozen miles radius. Probably wasn't any backup unit to be found.
Yeah we call backup sometimes but it takes time to get there.

As you can see, the taser is by no means a sure way of gaining compliance from unruly idiots.
I think I read somewhere that they're only effective about 60% of the time due to either not connecting properly/adequately or simply not effective when connecting properly.

Actually, in most states, that IS true. As a FL LEO, I can assure you that all of that is needed to get your car out of the tow yard.
@@user-pg4jg5eh8kYes, it is true in most states. As a FL LEO, we used to tell people to make sure they had all their required info up to date. The exception would be insurance on an unregistered vehicle, in which case you’d need a valid title, otherwise it’s required to have a valid registration.
Cmon man cant you tell he worked hard for his CZcams law degree!? Insurance isnt a requirement in every state but i am fairly certain license/valid id and valid registration/title is required in every state to ensure you cant claim another persons vehicle from impound. I used to be a tow truck driver and some of the most angry people ive ever seen were ones who got their car impounded for dui or abandonment and could not claim it because they never put the car in their name and lost the title. Sorry, there is nothing we can do. You have nothing to prove ownership so it looks like your only chance is to win it at auction.
To be honest though your bid is likely to be rejected because people rack up 2k in impound fees then think they can get around it by bidding 500 bucks for their car. We had one idiot not pay his impound fees, send his girlfriend to auction to win it for him, then COMPLAIN about paying too much at auction because it would have been cheaper to pay the impound fees and wanted a discount. Too many idiots in this world! Speaking of which this reminds me I have to call the DMV because the idiot I sold an RV to over 2 years ago got it impounded in Los Angeles and never put it in his name! @@OrionDakota the tow yard isn't a cop - they want to get paid and if they turn you away they don't get paid. (they really DON'T want your vehicle in most cases)
The only thing they need your DL for is to make sure you are the registered/titled owner of the vehicle. They don't care about anything else other than making sure they don't release the vehicle to the wrong person. No plate? They don't care. No insurance? They don't care. You have cash and an ID that matches the registered owner of the car.. that is all they care about.
Now if you go to REAL police evidence/impound its different. They do check everything and they don't get paid and they don't care if you ever get your car back.
He keeps asking "What law did I break?" after being told repeatedly that he was driving carelessly. A lot of people have real difficulty understanding that it's actually a crime to behave irresponsibly while operating a motor vehicle.
Failure to ID is an arrestable offense and is considered obstruction. This sovcit said he was traveling, not driving. Oh well. He made a shocking discovery!! Kudos to the two Good Samaritans who helped out the cop in apprehending this idiot.

I’ve tasted a few dozen people with only one failure. That was someone on cocaine-but it also turned out that I had been issued training cartridges with non-barbed probes. They were like thumbtacks on wires. Otherwise, it works-better on muscle than fat, tho.

I've only had to hold someone for the police a few times. Only once of those were for me, the rest were my helping someone in trouble....
He's a wildlife officer, he's probably got a select-fire rifle and shotgun in his vehicle. It's a much more dangerous job than other law enforcement because the people they deal with often have rifles and in the case of poachers not much to lose.
BTW: the time I held someone "for myself" was when I was working at a store and an idiot decided to rob the store....
So he's driving erratically in a vehicle that, by his own admission, isnt roadworthy using his 4-way flashers (which is also illegal in Florida) then refuses to provide his driver's license when lawfully required to do so. Finally, he resists arrest and STILL has the audacity to act like he's the victim.

When the cop pulls you over and gives a clear command, that is not negotiable. No discussion, no debate, just produce the ID and give out with straight answers.

The driver used a "knock your pots and pans" approach, to stop the officer from being able to explain anything. He spoke so fast, how could anyone get a word in? I assume that falls under obstruction.

Also, cops are under NO obligation to explain motor vehicle law to you. When you rece8ve your drivers license, you sign a legal document stating you UNDERSTAND and will COMPLY with all motor vehicle laws/regulations and state statutes when you operate on a public road. If you don't know what you did wrong, that's an arguement for the courtroom, not the shoulder of a state highway

I am 60 years old and the last time I had a ticket that I deserved was when I was 27yrs old. I have been pulled over multiple times since then, from an officer that wanted to know what kind of motorcycle I had, he liked it and I ride all black and chrome. I have been pulled over because of my license plate state, and being lost in a strange town. ( police looking out for me that day). I have been pulled over for the light over my rear license plate not being lit (covered in snow actually. I live in Upstate, NY) I have been pulled over for ‘hotdoggining’ it out of a gas station, not speeding per’ se’, but not helping matters with the images of motorcycles. Whether ‘cage’ riding or motorcycle, the first thing you do when you are about to be pulled over…is just that… PULL OVER!! Somewhere safe for them and you, get your insurance and license out so they don’t even NEED to ask. Of course there are bad apples in every profession, and yep, so police officers get badge ego. All the more reason to be respectful and to cooperate. Just for sake of being honest, I am white and I am a female. Both of which I am sure have played a role in when I was pulled over, but as a citizen who pays their salary, respecting them for protecting us by providing what they ask for and not arguing is the first step in just making their day and yours easier.
Flashers give you the right to drive like an idiot? Really? I’m going to drive around with my flashers on just because I don’t feel like driving like I know what I’m doing.

@@david78212 My dad was bitten by something, probably a poisonous spider. He drove himself down the highway with his flashers on, speeding, and a cop saw him. He said he yelled HOSPITAL and the cop escorted him there. He didn't remember what happened after he got there.

You know, ambulances have the stuff on board to deal with allergic reactions and they won't put your children in danger while doing it. The other thing to consider is your father actually notified a policeman to what was going on, this guy didn't Even come close to doing that. Slightly different circumstances, wouldn't you agree.
Everyone thinks they're just checking ID when they ask for your license. If you get pulled over for a driving infraction then they need to see if you are qualified to drive. The stupidity is awesome

Seriously. All cops should set a timer for five minutes, then if the suspect doesn't cooperate they should arrest them. In video after video they always seem to let them rant, be combative and uncooperative for far too long. Every minute they waste on one of these guys is a minute they could be out helping others who will cooperate.

He's a Game Warden, so it's likely these interactions aren't going to be a common occurrence for him. It's no surprise to me that he's out of his element.
The reason they don't respond when asked "Do you understand?" is because they think the officer is trying to trick them into verbally acknowledging the officer's authority, thus entering into "contract". They think "Do you understand?" actually means "Do you acknowledge that you STAND UNDER (understand) my authority?"
They think that if they don't enter into "contract" with the officer, then the officer cannot fine or imprison them for breaking various laws that they think are not binding on SovCits or "American Nationals".
He did ask for ID first thing, but he was all over the road so that was the reason for the stop, but the way he kept slapping the taser had me laughing 😂

Every soverign citizen who uses the "I'm not driving, I'm traveling" should be asked, "who was steering the vehicle? Was your foot on the accelerator?" No way to answer those questions without admitting to driving the vehicle.
