Judge Alex Manning made that same comment to a moron in her court (I believe the person in question was a "moorish national". He was flummoxed. Logic is not a strong point to these twits.
Well, not exactly. There are certain things in the Constitution that protect all people (including illegals), such as due process. Other things, like the right to vote, are for US citizens only. That being said, if he claims not to be a US citizen, he is subject to deportation. Also, if he was born in the US, he is a US citizen, unless he went through the process of relinquishing his citizenship, which I highly doubt. To make a long story short, the sovcidiot doesn't know what he is talking about nor does he have a leg to stand on, legally. Oh, and one of his "rights" if for 3 hots and a cot after he is arrested!
No, the US Constitution protects everyone on US territory, even if they don't want that, or are mentally incompetent. If he formally renounced his US citizenship, then some rights wouldn't apply, more so in his case, as he would not have a visa, either.
They’re nuts but it is a bit more nuanced. Their argument is the constitution only outlines specific allowed jurisdictions and that state jurisdictions aren’t detailed. So that’s why they often yell about jurisdiction and in court they’re try to “challenge jurisdiction”. As the other guy said it’s a “heads I win tails you lose” mentality but there’s at least a bedrock of foundation on their crap. We all know however their worldview makes no sense and leads to absolute anarchy if followed.

This guy is correct in saying he's traveling. The problem is in his method of traveling. Operating a motor vehicle is a form of traveling that needs a license! Just an uneducated criminal!!
Think of how much cheaper a license, registration, and insurance is than tows, fines, court costs, broken windows, etc.
I did a rough calculation ... about $400 to $600 (basics) doing it the right way ... against $1500 (minimum) to $2500 (average) for trying the SovCit method. Also, SC method 2 gets you a big blot on the local police blotter, maybe even a criminal charge. That's gonna probably stick a large red flag on any job applications you submit ... anywhere in the country.
A lot of them are suspended/revoked. Or they owe thousands in court fines/costs, back child support, interest, penalties etc etc. That is probably usually why they were receptive to the S.C. narrative in the first place.

I suspect that SovCits are actually not that common, so some cops may not have encountered this much, plus cops tend to be trained to be polite and patient and repeat information because lawsuits.
It's not the police, they have no control over who gets released and what they are sentenced to, they can only work within the laws that are in place. In some states there isn't very much you can really do, and in the end it's just a suspended license in most cases. You don't go behind bars for ten years because of that. As for not immediately resorting to force and forcing people to submit to their authority the moment it is challenged, we have half of the country protesting and rioting claiming the police use force too much, that we need a gentler community approach to policing, deescalation, etc, while the other half loudly complains that the police are being too soft and need to show these punks what's up and never let anyone defy them for even a moment. If you can't handle the insult to your uniform then you probably shouldn't be a cop.
Anyway, in most cases I have seen they are waiting for backup to arrive, it's a bad idea to start trying to fight a suspect out of a car when you are alone, you might be attacked from behind, they might grab a gun and shoot you with no partner to have your back. And even when backup arrives, they would much rather try to get you to wink willingly step out. I just watched a video where two cops tried to pull a guy out, after they tased him he pulled a gun and shot them both, killing one of them. They want to avoid that, the possible negative publicity that can come from any use of force, all that shit.

The law on recovery of your car from impound should be, pay all fees, show proof of ownership and insurance, and valid drivers license.
