I once got into an argument with a sovcit who thought their right to a speedy trial meant they should be taken to the judge for a trial immediately. Which to be honest would be the worst possible thing for a defendant. I mean think about it. If you went right to a trial then you would have no chance to mount a defense or look at the evidence against you. You couldn't have time to get discovery or be able to call witnesses.
In their brain they just slap down those fake court quotes on the table and judge goes "oh shit my bad you know the secret laws we don't tell people do you have a fee schedule I will gladly pay now?

It's a diesel. They are loud, at least in part, because of the method that diesel engine use to achieve combustion. With a diesel engine, the air fuel mixture is compressed to the point of spontaneous combustion. Gasoline engines ignite using spark, so do not need as much compression, which in turn means they don't need components with as much mass.
Either way, that's just how diesel engines are. You don't gotta like it, but making them a noise violation is kinda ridiculous. It's noisy, but it isn't excessive (it won't damage hearing, etc.).

I once got a fix it warning for a burned out taillight bulb as a young driver and was terrified I'd get pulled over again on the 10 minute drive to the parts store. I can't imagine going a month for basic safety repairs, especially when he was warned not cited previously.

I got pulled over for an expired tag one time there were two cops in the patrol car and as the first cop approached my window the second cop was already taking my license plate off of the vehicle I don't know how these clowns get away with this stuff all the time
That happened to me. I was out of state taking care of a family member for a while. I came back and forgot to renew my insurance while gone. I pulled into work and the police officer came straight up to my car and took my plate. Told me not to drive. I walked home. That was a long walk home but good exercise 😂. Next day paid all the fines and took care of business.
Put it in a prison for 60 years.
