My parents came legally. They both had 2 jobs, my mom's one job was sewing dresses for 25 cents a dress, 12 hour days, no air conditioning in summer just open windows and lousy heat in winter. Once she had children she was a stay at home mom. My dad by then had one job, a long shore man. Monday thru Sunday, 12 plus working days, in the cold, in the heat in the rain in the snow. No handouts, just hard work. I support legal immigration not illegal immigration and stop saying migrants. It's illegals.

I came here in 95 when I was 8 and I studied here all my life. I didn’t know I was illegal until I was getting out of high school trying to sign up for military. It felt like an ice cold bucket of water was poured on me. I got a job and worked with what I had until I applied for DACA in 2012 and payed taxes every year with NO government assistance. To us it was an embarrassment to ask for government assistance if you can work. Ever since I got a work permit I’ve been doing everything by the book and have gotten good salary jobs but I’m still not a resident and much less a citizen. Around 4 years ago when they opened the borders I’ve met people who came in faking Asylum and already got their work permit with social security and are in a path to residency. How is this fair?? They don’t even pay taxes and laugh at how easy it was to get in. What about us who came here as children, who speak perfect English, studied and graduated here and have been paying taxes all our lives. Even if I wanted to go back to México how can i live there? My two grandparents pases way and all my family is here. I know I’m in no position to say what’s far or not but in this case I truly think it’s unfair how easy it is to come in through asylum and becoming residents without earning their place here. I’ve been so down these past years

Worked 8 months in NewYork . Moved to CA. Collected welfare for 2 yrs . then work & pay tax up to now .
Paid air plane ticket off after 4 yrs working in CA .

in the old days Immigrants appreciated being here or getting here and worked hard, they learned English and contributed and they also wanted to be Americans. They still lived in there enclaves and practiced their religion and lived with other similar groups but they appreciated and participated. They created jobs because they were willing to work long hard days but that was way better then what they came from and that made America great. Now the tides have turned and countries are sending there gangs and terrorists and everything else here as its easy and they dont like use. Creating a less safe environment for you and your children. Not everyone is bad and most are not but we simply cant afford to take care of people with these expectations. Every country in the world with the exception of us has actual immigration. Make no mistake that Biden and the current administration has caused irreparable damage and costs to the US all for the hope of a stolen vote or ability to vote for the ones giving ou that handouts.
It’s more than that. Illegals are getting Medicaid, SSI, and ACA also. We have to pay for medical care through Medicare. Illegals get their care for free and even when they qualify for Medicare after 5 years, they can still stay on Medicaid so they don’t pay a cent out of pocket and have better care than Americans.
Its idiotic to believe that criminals coming from another country illegally and receiving everything free will instantly or ever become decent lawabiding dependents!
In his first year in office Brandon covertly paid United Nations NGOs 3 Trillion Dollars to funnel Illegals from Panama to our Southern Border....providing them with clothes, water, food, cash cards, maps, and cell phones.

My estimate, based on the reported numbers and numbers of known got-aways, plus estimated number of unseen crossings per year is a combined total of about 25-million! This includes the ones processed and allowed to come in.
Unseen illegal crossings have to be over 13-million for sure. Prob 4.5 million per year, then add the numbers they actually report.

Agree completely with the premise but $451 billion seems off if the comparison is $550 billion for homeless. There are 650K homeless and an estimated expense of $50K a year which is more like $30 billion. Get into $500 billion and you’re nearly at the entire Medicare budget.

I went through process after process to legally come here and later became a citizen. I worked hard to pay for all the fees, I went through all of that because I wanted to do the right thing. I could have come here illegally easily if I wanted to, but I chose not to because I knew getting into a country illegally is wrong, and a crime, and disrespectful of that country’s laws. I respect the laws and abide by the laws, I despise lawlessness. If anyone could get into a country illegally, they can continue to do illegal stuff, committing crimes and committing petty offenses are normal for many of these illegal immigrants, not everyone but most, and that’s why they do everything they could to come here illegally and they don’t see it as a crime.

The Russian lady says she was working while she is on F1 visa. F1 visa comes with restrictions that you cannot work off campus (you can only work part time on campus). How was she able to study for 8 years and work at the same time! Even if she is working full time on CPT, she needs to study full time too. Has she violated her status. Anyone has any idea ?!
