Very very wholesome. I really appreciate the kid openly voicing his fear, and you listening without judgement, giving information instead of dismissing: I'm a dog trainer, these are well-trained dogs. And showing it as well.
Yeah absolutely! TBH it's best practice to assume every dog you encounter is aggressive. If you approach a unfamiliar dog with an overly familiar/aggressive manner, its reaction is on you to a degree I hate seeing kids going up and petting dogs they don't know, this kid is doing it right!
Caution is never a bad thing, but usually when people say that, it's because they don't know what they're doing and don't care to train their dog. But this guy is professional so I'd say the odds actually are pretty kow unless provoked
You know how many naive bad dog owners say that? Even if they are trained, it's illegal to have an unleashed dog on public property (like a sidewalk) & better be right because he is 100% liable for any damages to or caused by his pet
This whole encounter was perfect. The boy voiced his (legit) concern and the man calmly reassured him without being condescending or rude. Even making it a fun experience the kid will never forget. Good job guys 👍

I like how he helped the child not be afraid. He seems kind
I'm scared of dogs but this dog trainer eased it so well I'm glad this interaction happened
If you approach a unfamiliar dog with an overly familiar/aggressive manner, its reaction is on you to a degree
I hate seeing kids going up and petting dogs they don't know, this kid is doing it right!
Yes! it’s like ..both parties were actually mature and clearly communicative!
You said everything ❤
Very cool
And they can play basketball bro...better then my friends
As a delivery driver, I'm with the kid. "Oh, my dog's friendly! They won't bite!"
Bro but doggo can play basketball 😂
Bro but doggo can play basketball 😂
Caution is never a bad thing, but usually when people say that, it's because they don't know what they're doing and don't care to train their dog. But this guy is professional so I'd say the odds actually are pretty kow unless provoked
@jangtheconqueror He's a random stranger who claims to be a professional. Do you just believe anything anyone says?
You know how many naive bad dog owners say that? Even if they are trained, it's illegal to have an unleashed dog on public property (like a sidewalk) & better be right because he is 100% liable for any damages to or caused by his pet
Thank you for being nice and trying to make the kid relaxed. I am scared of dogs and unfortunately owners sometimes just don't care about that
This dude is an absolute superhero.
We all need to remember we are all ambassadors.
This whole encounter was perfect. The boy voiced his (legit) concern and the man calmly reassured him without being condescending or rude. Even making it a fun experience the kid will never forget. Good job guys 👍
Yes, Exactly. Loved the way he dealt with this.
It was definitely a correct encounter i wish more people took this kind of responsibility for their dogs that this man has and this kid has been taught well never approach strange dogs with out permission from the owner.
He also showed that both dogs are well trained without expecting them to take his word for it.
Kinda fake encounter but aight…
That Seth Rogan laugh tho 😂
I think adding the "without permission" actually helped the kid know you were being honest and he could trust you with your dog
I use to be ignorant like this guy. But u need to understand no one thinks your dog is safe, even if you tell them. KEEP YOUR DOG ON A LEASH!
@@DookounKeep him on a leash to play basketball? lol
@@Dookoun it's not quite as simple as that in most cases,
My dog would act the same way on or off a leash,
But it is law in most places I will give you that much.

@@DookounI do think ignorance is a poor choice in words however 🤷
@@BradleyON1ok but the leash still gave you control and gave others peace of mind not having to stress over whether or not the dog was going to behave
why on earth would anyone think these beautiful calm dogs would bite? love the 'wont bite without permission ! Very talented pooch, and good to see the scared person engaged at the end!
Big dogs do scare me, like I think of what they are capable of, but this right here I see what the dog trainer is capable of, awesome video.
Both dogs are very well trained. They keep 100 % of their attention on the owner and his commands.
And this is completely by cue! He may have left the command or switch in body language out of the video so that no one else can use it irl, to command his puppers... Just in case. But obviously theyd trust him first regardless.
But they DEFINITELY had a signal to command this behavior. Whether its for the video and just acting, or because the guy could just tell how nervous the kid was, immediately (its at least somewhat believable imo. He's a Behaviouralist... That just naturally extends to human psychology in SO many ways) the doggos were perfectly trained for this exact scenario. And it's very impressive ❤
Professional dog trainer allowing an English Fucking Bulldog off leash on a public sidewalk in a residential neighborhood, knowing it's against the law? Lol that's not very professional...
I love the happiness in the kids voice after the dog did the trick
For sure! Happy at the end even though he was an ass at the beginning. But that's kids!
Heard this all before and yet the damn dog still bit me. I don't trust dog owners.
@@Nighturzhe was "an ass" because he was scared of the dogs??
A true professional. Someone everyone should strive to be like.
Imagine what you taught that kid that day😮👏 he’ll definitely be hungry for more of what this world has to offer
I think a lot of kids, especially those who never had a dog growing up, either have this hesitant curiousity towards dogs or have unfortunately only had poor experiences with dogs. This was a good interaction.
hesitants, a great reaction. this guy is awesome, but there are a lot of bad dog owners who have pent up aggressive dogs, as well as rescue dogs with anxiety and aggression issues. always best to stay clear and ask before approaching.
@@christianreza144 never implied it was an improper reaction.
@@mattgreen5800 never implied that you implied it. i added to ur statement.

These are the exact steps needed to train an unknown dog. He might not be lying about being a dog trainer!
You can't really help a dumb kid
Watch now the kid will trust off leash dogs that aren’t trained by this one in a million man and get mauled.
That was nice for this man to take the time to have his dog play a little basketball for the young man. It probably made his day!
Or even made his life. Maybe he realized that he wants to be a dog trainer himself
Don't think he 'made' time.
The scene is set for the dogtricks.
I bet the dog does skateboarding too, and man has a hat or bowl to 'feed' the dogs

@@theworst1069 I don’t doubt small kindnesses make a difference but I don’t think this is anything deep. The kid is simply thinking how cool it was and the man is probably out in his front garden showing off his amazing dogs all the time. But it most likely isn’t going to result in the neighbourhood becoming the dogfathers of America.
I love this guy. His dog is amazing. This is the first time I've ever seen a dog make a basketball jump shot. BRAVO!!!🤡🎉👀🇺🇸
Not one, but two great dogs proves he knows how to do an amazing job. His laugh reminded me of Jeff Spicoli. If he had called the kid little dude at the end that would’ve been great.
He watched the scared kid and immediately called the dog down. Dog just wants treats, but the kid didn’t know that. So considerate!
Fr! He concerned himself with the kid's feeling of safety. Top tier neighbor
Indeed. Maybe i was so often watched Karen videos, I think his reaction is so kind.

Kid needs to grow up and not be fearful of everything but. I get the fact that dogs not on a leash need to be taken with caution because you never know etc... but I feel like his parents have probably taught him a certain way that's made him fearful of dogs.
Not the kids fault, I just hope he grows up and realises theres a difference with being scared and cautious.

@deansbian5607 true. I cant judge too harshly. Don't know the kid or his past. But typically, as long as your cautious around all dogs and are aware that some can become aggressive, there's no need to be scared of them. If you are keeping it in mind, and assert yourself you'll always be wary without being scared.
