      Roderick Kearns why do you use the “🤦‍♂️” like its a bad thing to choose LeBron over Kobe. Everybody has different opinions. If a basketball player has been in a game with Kobe and James, and thinks Kobe is better, it’s okay, he was there to witness them. But we as viewers, or analysts, or fanatics, we have the right to choose whoever we want because we are witnessing both too. On a TV or in a phone not in a basketball court, but that doesn’t mean we can differ with people who know them personally, there is no right answers. You don’t have to be a hen to talk about eggs.

      Roderick Kearns but im talking about opinions. Its not like Kobe is 10 times better than LeBron. And also, people tend to rely on former players opinions and dismiss sport analysts, but only for their conveniences or when they share the same opinion as yours. Why does a lot of people hate on Paul Pierce? Because his takes are way different than others, and people jump quick to hate on him (because he really looks stupid some times)... oh but he used to play basketball, isn’t he supposed to know everything? Y’all just roll with the guys who share thoughts with you, don’t come at me saying that “doing” is better than “watching”.

    I just don't understand, when people prefer Kobe over LeBron people get upset and bring up Shaq & Phil Jackson as if Kobe had nothing to do with Shaq & Phil getting their rings. When people compare LeBron to Kobe it's always about stats. But Kareem numbers are more impressive than MJ & LeBron but somehow no one takes Kareem? Interesting.

    • @acegraham95
      @acegraham95 Před 7 lety +7

      I checked and Kareem's overall career average stats and Lebron's are actually a bit better than Kareems (Like 27.6 > 24.6 PER), especially in the Playoffs. Therefore I doubt his *overall numbers* are more impressive than MJ's too.

    • @Lakergirl86
      @Lakergirl86 Před 7 lety +5

      BiosGod Creator I said Kareem numbers were more impressive, which his overall career numbers are. A few points more does not justify LeBron. My point was there are NBA players who overall body of work is better than LeBron in "numbers" but no one takes them. However when people prefer Kobe over LeBron somehow LeBron numbers are always brought up. But they never do it to other players.

    • @acegraham95
      @acegraham95 Před 7 lety +4

      You said *"When people compare LeBron to Kobe it's always about stats"* and then *"Kareem numbers are more impressive"*. But then when I brought up the same stats that *"people"* use that support Lebron > Kobe, you bring up "overall body of work", which is not what people use and shouldn't since LBJ's career isn't over. So it's kind of an off comparison. And it's not just the "few points" that makes him the better player.

    • @Lakergirl86
      @Lakergirl86 Před 7 lety +30

      BiosGod Creator I understand your side. However, I stick by my original statement. Your right, LeBron career is not over, which means his career stats can increase or even decrease. His stats maybe better than Kobe, but Kobe is still a better player. If majority of the NBA community is saying this which includes the likes of Larry Bird & MJ. That should hint at something. It's not always about stats that was my point.

    If Kobe was on the east coast he would of put up some ridiculous numbers, regular season and playoffs. LBJ is a great player but i would take Kobe to start and finish a game. The thing that separates Kobe and LBJ is Kobe has better foot work and post moves, he even has a better shot and he wont pass it in the last 3 min of the game unless he knows for sure its an easy assist. We cant say that about LBJ. Last point to add everyone says LBJ makes players around him better we could say the same about Kobe because before Pau came the the Lakers he didn't have that killer instinct in him Kobe engraved that in him, he also made made his teammates go harder in practice and that filtered on the games. LBJ great player but as of now i still have Kobe in front of him. LBJ best at his position all time Michael Jordan first at his potion all time and Kobe Bean Bryant second right behind Jordan. Ill even throw this in, D. Wade could be third behind Kobe. So everyone keeps saying how many rings would Kobe have without Shaq when the real question is when would LBJ get his first ring if it wasn't for Wade the third best at his position behind M.J. and Kobe? #YourTrueNBAFan

      @@NotLikeUss Please. The eastern conference have had so little competition over Lebron's career there have been teams that made the playoffs with sub .500 records. Even the teams that weren't sub .500 wouldn't even sniff the Western Conference playoffs. It's easy to advance when you're beating up on trash the first 2 rounds every year. Now that LBJ is in the Western conference we see how hard it could have been for him. Those Cavs squads would have been 5-6 seeds every year in the West. Kobe didn't need half of team USA either to cop the next 2 chips. Lebron needed 2 Max players and half of team USA to "feel" like he's ready to compete. The two best players Kobe played with on his second run were Gasol and Odom. Great players but Wade and Bosh? Definitely an upgrade. Bynum didn't even ever play again after leaving LA. I'd argue Kobe did more with less while in tougher waters than LBJ.

      @tammaralsadkhan6739 Před 3 lety

      Kade Hanley passing? Look at his turnover ratio. Averages 4 turnovers. I would hope he averages more rebounds since he’s way bigger. Kobe has the most missed shots because he played shooting guard longer than anyone, while lebron plays in a cupcake era and scores. Lebron has melted down WAYY more. Lebron gets his finals in a weak east, now in the west he’s missed the playoffs and will lose before the finals again. Those finals appearances are overrated. Kobe’s stats in first finals were down because he got injured purposefully and in game 4, when Shaq fouled out, he closed the deal in overtime and carried them. That’s without saying how great kobe was in the western conference finals against Portland when he carried them, including the 4th quarter of game 7 when they were down 15. In 2001, he averaged 25, 6, and 5, and in 2002 he averaged 27, 7, and 6. Lebrons more efficient because he plays in an era where everyone is efficient. Now do me a favor and use stats with context, not without.

      jerwin lacoste not true...he had no-one to pass"to"....surrounded by d-league players most of his career...
      .when he had "1" decent teammate...shaq/gasol....he delivered 5/7......there is a Reason....most NBA teams complained when Lakers try to acquire Chris paul.....Kobe most likely would have added to his "rings".....and would "still" be playing if he had talent around him to shoulder the load......Kobe= best I ever seen

      Real talk, LeBron shies away from challenges, which is why he loves creating stacked teams in the East.

      strikehair55 I absolutely agree bro Kobe will always be a killer and a threat to the game... who ever he plays looks at his 81 point game and his 40 point games in a row. He is absolutely a beast and a freak of nature

    anyone who thinks lbj would run kobe off court a damn fool. CZcams 2012 and 2013 all star Game when kobe plays seriously against lbj. also stats lie so much. lbj is more efficient but that doesn't make him better as a player. rebounding and passing is the only 2 attributes better. kobe got footwork, post, outside, jumper, free throw , better perimeter defender (12 time all first team defense), tougher mentally, killer instict. Shannon is so biased. if you say mj the goat and the goat even says kobe better then what's the debate
