I wish more people would watch clip #11 and realise how utterly pointless it is to overtake most vehicles on 30mph urban roads. You wind up being slowed down at junctions any way. In especially heavy traffic a bicycle with a reasonably fit rider can maintain almost the same average speed. On my bike I usually reach my destination only about a minute or two slower than it would have taken me in the car.

#10, I'd park that one as a shitty combination of circumstances. Cyclist seems to be behaving, coming out of a driveway, we've no way of telling if Audi had an alternative to reversing out, Focus was clearly concentrating on NOT passing too close to cyclist and was late spotting the Audi. Look, nobody got hurt, nothing got damaged; it's one of those things that happens occasionally, so let's not get too animated about it...

Of course there was an alternative; a safe and sensible one, too. The Audi driver should have reversed *on* to the driveway.

Tell you what, it’s not the cyclists fault, it’s not the Audi’s fault, it’s the overtaking vehicle’s fault. Overtake only if it is safe to do so. Also although not ideal you don’t know the circumstances of the Audi reversing out, they may be visiting, there could have been circumstances which prevented reversing onto the drive, anything. Whatever the reason life happened as it did and there’s only one person putting anyone in danger.

I'm a bus driver. Last night at approx 17:00 (5pm), it was dark due to being winter, some idiot almost caused a pile up on the motorway.
I was driving on the nearside (left hand lane) of a motorway slip road which has a long bend. A car came up the offside (right hand lane) of me and remained at about the last 5ft of the end of my bus preventing me from merging with traffic at the end of the slip road. There were no other vehicles in front of me at the merge point.
The car driver then went onto the motorway on the nearside lane and kept to the side of me preventing me from entering the motorway. I was forced to come to an emergency stop resulting in passangers almost being hurt. When i explained to my manager what had happened i was told "next time just hit the car".

That A38 junction one minute in is a nightmare. Some idiot rear ended us there earlier this year. Just accelerated into the back of us (he assumed we'd entered the junction when we hadn't).
The problem is there's a separate slip road and flyover for southbound traffic entering the city, rather than continuing on the A38. This means the north bound traffic is hardly ever interrupted, so the local traffic wanting to enter the roundabout hardly ever have a gap. You have to accelerate very aggressively when there is a gap.

#5 2:43 drifting to the left and only just misses the blue car. Is it someone on their mobile phone rather than a puncture, the puncture being caused by the accident? No brake lights come on and surely if there was a pre-accident flat tyre it would be have evident to the driver that if they couldn't steer adequately they were about to have an accident and needed to brake. I think it's a typical mobile phone distraction accident. Also when the driver gets out he doesn't look down at the left front wheel, as if looking for a reason for the deviation.

@@frogandspanner OK, well there would have been numerous roundabout signs before the actual junction.
Coupled with the huge row of roundabout black and white chevron type signs slap bang right in front of them, I believe the clues were there.
Maybe everyone else giving way may have been a hint too?
Maybe the "give way to the right" rule may also apply?
Either way, excusing the Audi because of faint lines when all of the above apply I believe to be pandering to a driver who obviously shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a car.
