Ingredients:
3½ Cups White flour. 1 Tsp yeast, fast rising or traditional dry
1 Tbsp melted butter or margarine ½ Tsp Sea salt
1 Tsp sugar 1¼ Cups warm water, more if needed
2 tbsp garlic butter ¼ tsp parsley
Follow the US conversion table for grams and ml measurements to our recipe.
1 cup of flour = 120 grams or 250 ml, 1 cup of liquid = 240 ml or 240 grams (if measuring liquids in weight). Also 350ºf = 177ºc
Method:
Prep time: 10 minutes, Mixing time: 10 minutes, Rising time: 15 minutes, Baking time 3 hours
Method:
Combine in a large bowl: 3 cups flour, sea salt, toss together. ( Leave the ½ cup flour to mix dough together if needed )
In another bowl, add dry fast rising yeast with 1¼ cups warm water and 1 tsp sugar.
Let rise for about 5 minutes.
In another small bowl melt one tablespoons of butter or soft butter.
Then in flour mixture make a hole in the middle to pour your yeast mixture and butter, mixing all ingredients together with a wooden spoon or mixer with hook until it thickens, then keep adding ½ cup of flour to work dough together, plus add more warm water ( If you need to add more warm water this should be done during the mixing stage.) This can be done with your hand or mixer with a hook.
Knead dough, add more flour if necessary until dough is smooth, elastic and no longer sticky and you can hear cracking of the dough when folding dough. Keep working dough into a ball.
When completed cut the top of the dough with four slashes and add pieces of the garlic butter in slashes. Then toss the parsley over the top of the dough.
Let dough rise in a warm place for fifteen minutes on a piece of parchment paper in the slow cookers pan. After your dough rises,
Preheat the slow cooker to low!!! Put the pan inside the slow cooker and place the cover on. Let cook for 2.5 to 3 hours. Until bread is 190ºf on your internal thermometer.
After pull bread out of the slow cooker and place on a baking pan, remove parchment paper. Turn the over on grill and place bread into the oven for a few minutes or ONLY until top of bread in a golden brown. The slow cooker only browns the bottom and the sides.
Bonita’s Tips:
Put in a plastic bag at room temperature to keep bread soft and fresh for up to 5 days.
This dough can be baked in the oven if you like, 350ºf for 35 minutes or golden brown.

A great recipe idea for my dandy bread machine. Doing it that way I'd add the garlic butter directly into the flour. By the way, we're ALL still trying to be patient waiting for Raymond to get his Smell-O-Vision camera working.

@@bonitaskitchen you as well Bonita!
That looks so delicious.I have a question: Can you bake other bread recipes in the slow cooker ? Thanks for sharing Bonita and Raymond. 🙂♥️
Yeast made bread, I'm not sure about sour dough or baking powder. This bread is so tasty and the texture is soft and light. Of course you would need to brown off the top in the oven if you like it brown. Thank you for stopping by and enjoy. :) Bonita
This looks yummy. Do you buy your garlic butter and if so, where? Or do you make yours?
Hi Mary thank you for your message and for stopping by...I usually just press two cloves of garlic into a half cup of soft butter or margarine and top with parsley. Put it in a container with a lid and use when i need it...store in the fridge. But I'm sure you can buy garlic butter in tubes or sticks. Have a wonderful day and enjoy!! Bonita
Thanks Bonita. Sounds like a simple solution.@@bonitaskitchen

Welcome and Thank you for being our first message and viewer....we hope you enjoyed our NEW recipe today and have a Blessed Easter Sunday!! Bonita
I can almost 100% guarantee I come from a country where my cup sizes are NOT the same in volume as those used by Americans who dont weigh ingredients. At least weights are standard world wide.
Weight of 1 cup of flour (ounces, grams not important) and volume of liquids in your cup (mls, ounces not important) would be appreciated by others including myself.
Sorry about that Maxine, I only use cups and tsp, tbsp in my instructions when doing a video or my recipes. But you can use the US conversion table for the proper measurements when following our recipes. With that said 1 cup of flour = 120 grams or 250 ml, 1 cup of liquid = 240 ml or 240 grams (if measuring liquids in weight). Also 350ºf = 177ºc I hope this helps and once again I'm sorry about not having both on my recipes. Happy Easter Monday!! Enjoy our new recipe and thank you for stopping by..... Bonita
@@bonitaskitchen Hello, Bonita, Easter Monday has been and gone for me. Spent battling an autumn flu. Thank you for confirming weights used in your recipes. I have wasted too may recipes by using the common US method of volumes to even bother any more. But given your quick response, this one is more than tempting to add to my regular bread recipes. Maxine (from New Zealand)
@@maxineb9598 You are very welcome Maxine and I understand totally. I try to reply to all my messages that I see pop up and our recipes are all tried and true. The only thing is I only do cups, tablespoons and teaspoons because it is way to much work for me to convent all my recipes to three or four different conversions. But I don't mine helping if any of our reviewers ask for the help to convert. I hope you feel better soon and enjoy our recipe to the fullest and thank you for sharing where you are messaging from. :) Bonita
