    I bought one of these, brand new, in 2006. I still love it just as much I I did the day I bought it. I paid 26k for it and I thought that was a little pricey back then, but I couldn’t resist because I was in love with it. And every time I drive it now someone ALWAYS offers me more than I paid for it which blows my mind! I do have to admit that I do get a kick out of it and sayin….”Sorry, she’s not for sale”. 😊

    Ross, you really captured what driving an S2K is all about, THE STOKE. I've had my 2002 for over 10 years and it still puts a smile on my face when I take her into the foothills and toss her around. Recently, I had 3 offers to buy her in one day. Thanks buddy.

      I live in Holland and i also have a 2002 S2K for 12 years now and i still love this car!
      There are faster cars for the money, especially with turbo engines, but the driving feeling of a S2K is much more special.
      If you are only interested in driving fast in a straight line buy another car, although i have driven often over 200km/u in Germany on the Autobahn(legal at some places), even with top down and my mother as a passenger. :)
      But this car is more made for twisty roads like in the Eifel, Alpes and Dolomites, i was at all that places with mine and that is so great!!!

      @@nickvlaanderen Groot, I visited Holland several years ago, beautiful place with beautiful people. Many today forget when the S2K came out it beat BMW, Nissan, and the Porsche Boxster. And to top it all, the Honda people figured out how to make a car that's just insanely fun to drive.

    Honda should really bring back the S 2000 as a flagship RWD coupe/ convertible which can rival the 86 and MX-5 instead of trying to sell $50k Civics...
    Edit: If anybody wants, copy my post (crediting me) and put it on Tik Tok, Twitter, etc... and tag Honda...

    • @rickmAussie
      @rickmAussie Před 2 lety

      You need to say something on all platform, Tik Tok, Insta etc! See if people agree, and tag Honda in it, to see if they agree! Hopefully they will, as they haven’t matched the new Toyota Supra, Nissan 370z and GTR, Honda only has the new NSX, so yes, start hitting them up!

    • @sdlausen1
      @sdlausen1 Před 2 lety +1

      You got this completely wrong. The s2000 when released in 2000 rivaled the German premium sports cars like the Boxter, and Z3. It also bested them in performance. It did not rival the MX5/Miata. The s2000 was about $12000 more than a Miata in the year 2000 just to show you the difference. If released today, it would not rival entry level sports cars like the 86 or Miata. For the namesake, it would have to rival a base Boxter or Z3 which means Honda won't ever go there.

    • @MartinJones123
      @MartinJones123 Před 2 lety +1

      @@sdlausen1 Yeah but a new S2000 can't rival these cars as they're too expensive... It will have to be an MX-5/ 86 competitor and reasonably priced to actually get any sales...

    • @sdlausen1
      @sdlausen1 Před 2 lety

      @@MartinJones123 Nah. Mid level like where the Supra sits. Honestly, a new S2000 just doesn't make sense. Honda would better be off making a baby NXS or bigger S600. That would be a huge hit.

    Hey, that’s my car! 🙂 I have a 2006 Grand Prix White Honda S2000 (AP2 - facelifted). I got in at the right time at the peak of Melbourne’s lockdown. Anyone who knows me knows I wanted this car for 17 odd years. Every time I take it out, someone offers to buy it from me. I love it too much, I’ll probably never part with it. And despite what fuel costs us at the moment, I still managed to take it on a hills run last weekend with 10 other cars - an assortment of NSX and S2000’s.
    Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It’s a brilliant car. Take it from an owner :)
