The time has come to let some other lucky person enjoy my AP1 Honda S2000!
I couldn't let her go without going for one last drive, & bringing you guys along for the ride in true POV style!
This is my 2002 Honda S2000 in the rather rare (and heavily debated) Berlina black over "all red". That's right, wait till you see the outrageous interior!
The legendary F20c Engine revving to 9,000rpm had always intrigued me, so when this came up in my dream spec, I made the impulse decision to take her home with me.
I can now say, "I've now owned another one of my dream cars" but with the Mx5 builds getting a bit out of hand, I need the space & the funds to keep me afloat.

I bought this car as it was my dream car in my dream spec; Berlina black with red on red interior. This was apparently a 2002 option only, 1 of only 275. I have loved every minute of ownership, I am only selling as I have a boosted Eunos I am trying to build and the S2000 just isn't getting used.
The car gets positive attention everywhere it goes, and the vast majority of people are amazed by the interior. Recently had a paint correction & full detail carried out for protection.
I have nurtured this car and carried out all of the above work as preventative maintenance. Car just went through it's MOT with no advisories.

You'll regret letting this spec go. All red guts with blk ext, very rare very few produced. Crazy man. But glad you had the exp of owning this amazing machine💯
I know, I most certainly will 😔 I wish I had somewhere dry to store it.
But yes, you're right, it's ticked off the bucket list, now it's time for someone else to enjoy it!

Can't believe you're selling it. I've had mine for a year too but I've done many mods now and 2 track days. They are great on track and really not scary at all. Much scarier driving in the rain with NS2R at the speed limit😂
Oh wow, you have bigger 'man parts' than me, taking it on track lol although I have been very tempted to take mine on track just see the true potential, because they handle fantastic!

What sort of things have you done to yours?

@@accelerateyoutube Nothing too crazy, yet. Just basic bolt ons and necessary upgrades for track. J hook discs, PBS pads and braided lines all round. 225/255 NS2R on OZ wheels. Cusco half cage, coilovers, Tegiwa rad, snap off wheel, AEM intake, titanium exhaust and I removed the A/C and air pump. These are the mods that come to mind quicky anyway. Nothing huge but a decent amount of jobs in year on my budget imo
Can't believe you are selling it but I can see why. Its a stunning car and it looks so much better in person.
If I had somewhere to dry store it, I would probably keep it dude. They are only going up in value.

Great vid you have earned a sub, is the car still for sale? I couldn't find a listing anywhere although did see the ad in the description, I honestly wasn't looking to buy another car until june time but this looks like a good example and whether I could make it work or not i'd be keen to keep an eye on the ad in case it's still about in a few months!

I have taken the listing down for now, I was going to get some fresh photos then maybe keep it until the weather gets better. But it's still for sale I'm just not using it. I bought it as an impulse myself😂
I think it's a very good example, she's not perfect but for a 20 year old Honda she still amazes me!

I’m coming from the Subaru platform so I’m somewhat use to lighter turbocharged 4 cylinder vehicles but when I first hopped in my S2000 and drove it I instantly fell in love. I remember the first time I hit VTEC in the s2000, I was floored. The handling characteristics of it especially through the windy roads of the mountains absolutely makes this thing feel like an out of the box race car. The tuning potential of these cars is absolutely mind blowing. I’m truly looking forward to pushing this thing to its limits one day. Down the road I’d like to fully build the motor and turbocharge it.

Completely agree! I wish I had somewhere to store it. The way Japanese car prices are going, I could retire off of this in a few years time 😂

you said you bought new Michelin tires. I have Bridgestone Potenza, I am considering these Michelins you have. any advice?
I personally can not recommend Michelin enough. I have had great experience with them, and the likes of Adam LZ purchased a brand new Porsche from the factory with Pirelli tyres on. He then took it home and immediately put Michelin tyres on instead.

This car is for sale again, and I am considering buying it. I'm curious just how bad the exhaust drone is (you mention it in the install video)?
I actually sold the car with the standard exhaust installed. I'm not sure what exhaust is currently on there, may be worth dropping him a message. He's a real genuine guy.

Have you ever experienced an S2000?

I bought the Michelins you recommended. Great tires, more predictable then the Bridgestone S2 or Potenza's that are on my 16 inch rims. The car is more predictable and more controlled. Thank you for the advice. How about coil-overs? I am planning on buying Billstein.? A garage recommended Buddy Club.
What Michelins are they?
I personally love BC Racing coilovers. Bilstein are also amazing.

Wheel manufacturer, size, offset?
"I cannot believe you are selling an S2000 to build an MX5." Rarely have truer words been spoken.
The wheels are Ultralite F1 17x7.5 ET42 (square set up) but running 5mm spacers up front to clear the calipers.
😂 yes, I get that a lot. If my wallet was big enough, I would build the S2000 for track lol

As I stated in the video, I am in the process of building a boosted Eunos & an Mx5 track car. I also have a temperamental Jaguar X-Type that the funds from the sale of the S2000 will help towards.
I did around 1,500 miles in the S2000 last year, seems a waste when someone else could be enjoying it.
