Should Honda revive the S2000 after what they did to the Integra? COMMENT BELOW!!
Wheels/Tires/Suspension 👇
www.fitmentindustries.com/
Why waste the name on what will inevitably be another sporty family car
Better not, so the existing ones will go higher up in value, thanks. Or bring a really bad electric version of it so the demand for the existing one will rise even further :D and thanks further hyping up the car! :D
Dear GOD no...Integras legacy is severly hurt from it, so dont do the same to the S2000 is all im going to say
@@W1es sarcasm :)
Trying to be realistic and not nostalgic, the inegra is exactly what i thought it would be...a better ilx.... based on the si...But now a 5 door. Doesnt look as good as the tlx tho. If they brought back the s2k... I think it would follow the original with a screaming type r engine, but it would be bigger because of safety requirements... They brought the nsx back and it was still a midengine supercar, but bloated for safety. all cars have to be now. They should have revived the s2k instead of the nsx
Finally feels like the S2000 is receiving the love is deserves. Everyone always talking about Supra’s, r34s, Rx7s, and etc and I never heard anyone talk about S2ks anymore. This makes me happy to own one.
the s2k is my dream car
S2k gang… buying mine right before COVID I feel I found a gem and don’t want to let it go.. granting i daily it 100 miles a day
Mine kinda looks like the one in the thumb nail lol
Uh…. Pretty much S2k’s are going for over 20k here in TX. They’re as hyped as those cars above imo.
Well quit it! Lol y'alls driving up the prices!!
As a lifelong Honda guy I've always wanted an S2k. Now that the value has gone up its super hard to not just get a C5 Z06 instead for the same price.
Yup just get both what I did lol. But for real depends where you live if you got mountains/hills near by s2000. If you live in the flat lands of grid get the Corvette for the torque example Texas and Florida
@@FATmenDRIVEtrucks yeah I'm in Michigan too so all the GM retiree boomer owned low mile corvettes are here. In the early 2000s especially it was super looked down upon to drive a foreign car. People would give you major shit for it.
@@trevlesh4742 damn Corvette probably the better deal then that's the problem with S2K. My 03 Z06 had 2 older owners always garaged everything mint needed nothing. Meanwhile my 01 S2K had 7 some younger owners likely never garaged repainted needed work. The $ I put in could've just done heads/cam bolt ons. Instead of semi restoring a clapped out version since couldn't afford mint one 😂
Also in the market for a corvette. You can get a c5 z06 for far far less than a s2000 of the same mileage now.
I feel the same way!
I still have my 02 s2k with 108k miles. Ultra cherry, minty OEM fresh with zero mods…more fun to drive than my e46 m3. Highly recommend
Really ??
I am 71 and I have owned a lot of cars, i have liked many of them, but my AP1 s2000 is the first car I have ever loved.
Ditto. 2001 S2K, Spa Yellow w/ 135,000 miles, bought brand new in Palm Beach County.
@@palmbeachcitizen Wow, that is a long-time love affair. Very cool.
@@balaw1980 And I’m just a bit behind you at 64. You’re only as old as you feel, right? And the S2k keeps us feeling pretty young.
The sales figures literally folded in half each year, until the final year it sold less than 100 and Honda decided to cancel it then and there even though the AP3 plans were finalized.
One look at its direct competition, Mazda's MX5, only took a sales dip of a couple thousand, same with Porsche Boxster and Mercedes SLk, yet managed to keep going. People had woken up to the fact they can get a better car for just 15k more, or a slightly slower yet more agile car for 4 to 8k less.
Didn't help with the S2k motor choice, feeling like a 1990 Civic until you reached its torqueband at 7k rpm. It's sad that this is probably Honda's best car made to date, NSX considered as well, but the S2000 successor, the S660, took a chapter from Mazda's book and manages to not only be faster and more agile than the S2000, it does so with less. Less cylinders, less horsepower, less weight, less rpm; it's just a shame it was only sold in Asia market.
The S660 was cancelled when Japan announced it will only have electric cars by 2035, so unless Honda brings the S platform back as all electric, there will never be another S2000.
The s660 goes 0-60 in 11 seconds.
The s2k is a better sports car than all the cars you mentioned- at any price point 😅
People overlooked the s2k, just like they did the nsx. It's not German and doesn't have any hp for bragging rights.
S2K will allways be one of my dream cars
Damn Alex, thank you! I'm one of those apart of the S2K community, and yes we do keep our shit pretty clean :D .. Love the car, no doubt best car to own or drive in your lifetime, plus the ppl are cool too.. Nice job in the video and big up to the S2K community outside of AZ!
Got my S2k about 7-8months ago and wow, everyone needs to drive it once in their lifetime, such a different feel than my turbo civic 👌even if it's a bone stock s2k
Just when I considered selling it…now I feel like I should keep it
don't sell you will regret it, i sold mine 4 years ago and now just bought one before prices keep getting higher!
keep it as an investment. Will be worth $50k in 5 to 10 years. Eventually $100k when all new cars on road are electric.
depending on mileage, sub 100k
The s2000 is an EXTREMELY rare sight from where I’m at
This is awesome. I didn't know you guys had a CZcams channel!!! I want that S2000 soooo bad!!!!!!
I literally brought one of these home today. It's so awesome.
I'm glad I kept my S2k (bought new in 2004) as I almost sold it many times for faster car. Now I prefer fun car over fast car.
I sold my M2competition after getting the S2k, the M2C was just sitting around and got myself a GR Yaris! Perfect garage couldn't be happier.
Those so called faster cars are not even faster than the S2 at the track. S2 rules all the corners. Even faster than a porsche in corners with proper mods.
@@gesamtkunstwerk8431 Absolutely agree, i got to drive a manual cayman for a whole day during a job for porsche and i can tell you, the S2000 shifter feels a lot better and the whole car feels much more fun to drive and raw-go kart like. But the Cayman was quick though but a well built S2k could maybe keep up with stock power (and a good driver) the driver is the deciding factor in the S2K i realized haha
Keep it and turbo it, you'll be killing hellcats and gtrs with about 12K put into it. That's faster than a lot of cars.
@@slows2k352 Yea but tbh it's more than enough power for me, i have to first learn how to get the most out of it, the i plan to rebuild the engine, that should make around 270-280 hp NA. And then lets see. I mostly drive touge and imo a turbo would be more of a hindrance. But yea maybe if i get bored of that then i'll think about it. But i want that spoon front bumber haha. How safe is it to run a run a turbo onthe F20C? and when does the turbo kick in (what makes sense there) the F20C strong enough to handle a turbo without modifications?
Bought my 03 two months ago. 87.000 km. Hks Exhaust. OZ rims. Carbon cold air intake. Love it. Almost every Day i get a thumb up or people ask about it. Love it.
Just bought a s2000 a couple days ago for my first car!!!! 😁
Annnd like that, the car is now worth 20k salvage
Love my 07' at 140k miles! Runs like a dream. bought at $15k in 2015 and I couldnt touch one today in stock condition for that low.
ayyy s2k video ON MY BIRTHDAY sheesh
Happy birthday fam 🥳
As someone who just bought their first s2k over the summer this makes me super excited to get into modifying it and just more excited over the fast that I own one
got my S earlier this yr, love it man! wished i got one brand new back in the day. Its just a pure sports car
Thank you for these videos. They just make my s2000 more desirable. The values are steady going up and I love it!
EXCELLENT REVIEW & MUCH DESERVED LOVE SIR.............THE S2000
My thing about the s2k is there is no "eagle talon" of the s2k. Exclusivity is sexy
I have a s2000 it’s currently down cause the previous owner did a good job bidding the imperfections but it’s almost done and I love that thing even if it’s not moving 😭
This man is the reason I subscribed. Great content bro
Thanks for the support brotha 👊
Had my S2k 12 years now. Just bought my second C63 as my daily but i can assure anyone, the S2K is a much more fun car. More mods available, easier to work on, better forums, better looking imo & more reliable
You can hear engine and exhaust way better with the top down. Really great when you redline.
I’m about to pick one up this spring for 14k. Can’t wait.
S200 is one of my favorites JDMs it's fire after forced air
The s2000 is an icon love mines!11 years ownership.
Well, this made me happy and what's up s2k buddies!!
after all that integra bullshi*** i dont even want a new s2000 to be honest.
I got a rsx tymps s. I feel the same way.
@@phillsmith9903 so far the only car i'm excited about, is the nissan Z... i'm saving money for that.
Something NA with some decent power would be nice. Turbo stuff all ways seam to not last. We will see with the new tundra's if it can be done.
Bought mine before the price hike thank goodness I did and I bet who ever won the fitment s2k was so happy
What is the name of the wheel on the right of your head, the black one?
What’s good fitment for MR2
my only regret is not buying a CR because I knew those would take off, but if I did buy one it probably would've been stored the entire time. Bought my black 05 s2000 with 53,000 miles on may 1, 2011. Was my first online car purchase and I was sold a dud. Engine seized on me within a few months, however I swapped a motor from a CR (had around 30,000 miles) and had to retain some components from the stock engine to have it run like normal. Car has been perfect ever since.
When i pulled the original timing cover off to inspect, it looked like green jello was stuck everywhere. That engine is still sitting in storage, meant to sell it a long time ago.
Car currently has a mishimoto full aluminum x-line radiator, stock top (no tears), modifry dci to retain factory dash control for the aftermarket radio/cd player, moddiction powder coated black anvil weighted shift knob, nvidia q300 dual exhaust with burnt titanium colored tips, and an izze engineering heat pump bypass so I don't throw codes for the heat pump being disabled (happened when the new motor was put in). Also has a nice foldout cupholder installed on the passenger side by the transmission tunnel, a storage organizer, and has a K&N filter. Valve cover was painted pearl blue, has a carbon fiber spark plug cover, and an aluminum clutch fluid reservoir. BC racing coilovers with swift springs have been in the garage for a year, but I only wanted to install them when I was ready to do a full suspension refresh with new ball joints, tie rods, and control arm bushings.
Growing up my brother and I called it the “Spoon” (ironically, without knowing about the company haha)
Cause when we used it in races, you could rear end opponents hard enough to get under the car lol
Just keep it stock and the diff plus the transmission will last. 150k miles and still going strong.
I remember as a little kid in the late 2000s and early 2010s looking at images of this car in magazines alot😔😔😔😔
@1:51 me 😭😭😭😭 every xmas even as a 21yr old
S2000 was definitely in my top 3 choices when deciding which car to get as my fun car! I'm entered into the giveaway so maybe I'll get lucky! 🤞

Man I really want one of these!
I own a GT350 and an AP1. Both are so much fun to drive. There’s just such a fun factor about driving an S2K, gotta drive it to understand.
I’m the poor mans version of you, with a Holden V8 SSV ute and a Toyota 86
Just got my 2001 AP1 a couple months ago and I love driving this car every time. Coming from just a daily driver Acura TL where no one bats an eye, this car gets a lot of attention. Whether I'm driving to KFC, gas station or work people are always complimenting my car which is new to me. Driving this car with the top down and hearing the car rev up to 9000 rpms is something you must experience in your life time. The engine and VTEC sound is so unique compared to all the normal B and K series. When the designer of the car said to cherish it and share it with others, thats exactly what I'm going to do. I don't plan on selling this car anytime soon and plan on keeping it as a classic car till im an old man. If you have enough money, id recommend buying this car...I have people asking to buy my car all the time but I dont plan on selling. Get it before it becomes unatainable like the Supra etc.
I got my 01 s2k with 53k miles in good condition for 14k in 2019 I honestly got pretty lucky I don’t ever see a deal like that on a s2k
I got a 2000 s2000 in 2019 as well with 70k miles with oem hardtop for $17500
Very surprising to see my car in this vid multiple times. 4:30, 5:30, (was owned by previous owner then) and 8:30. Love these cars and dont see myself letting mine go
I want an S2000 so bad but they’re just getting more expensive by the days😩
Keep looking. I got mine $8k 120k miles

210k miles on my chassis and still feels good.
Didn't see that one coming.
Worked at a dealership and the owner had an ap1 that was one of the first few hundred sold
Do a what happened to the Impreza coupe?
Can u make a video about Hyundai Tiburon?
1st minute crew
yerrrrr
what happen to viper please
I agree with everything you said
I can literally watch s2000 videos all day long. Am very lucky to have own an ap1 and an Ap2. Sold d Ap1 since I prefer the better torque and more refined car. I will most likely never sell it, until I can trade it straight up for a lotus elise, which is just a faster lighter s2k lol.
The Elise is such an impressive car for what it is. I'd love to drive one (though the thought of damaging either the front or rear clamshell would terrify me from an ownership standpoint. While targa tops have their advantages, they can't match the sensory experience provided by a true convertible in my experience. Of course the Elise would make up for this in other ways, but given the value you've placed on refinement it does seem like a bit of a surprising choice.
Lol plus the b18c holding those records before the f20
The best line is ... " now I am scared , because of the integra "
when i saw one at a dealership backroom along with a 996 targa, i was geeking out. i finally sat in it and IT. WAS. TIGHT. the mr2 spyder and cayman/boxster felt more spacious than this and when i sat in the passenger side, my knees were on the dashboard, and im 5 foot 9 and the seat was all the way back. i really hate to say this but i rather daily a c5 or a solstice/sky than this thing, unless i loose a few pounds then ill reconsider. i pray the same doesnt go for the nsx
imagine if honda came out with a S3000 tomorrow. Would be so cool to have a manual rwd all motor honda
Do the 2008 Hyundai Tiburon.
This car is absolutely gorgeous! I feel like as more and more years pass the option for sports cars becomes narrower, its difficult to find a car with a manual transmission, besides the Si, Honda has pretty much neglected the sports scene, most cars I admired growing up aren't being made anymore...
I hope one day they make another spot coupe like the S2K again, would be nice to have a variety! -Edgar
Damn, Alex making the intro into a "When, When you, When you, When, Whennnn" intro
😂😂
Do an episode on what happened to the crossfire
what a good price range for purchasing a s2000 in mint condition from an old person . this 65 year old guy has one here on the Big Island of Hawaii..
I do gotta say the new Integra makes me appreciate the RSX more
S2K AP1 is the best. I miss mine more than any car I have owned.
As an s2000 owner of 11 years all i can say is HODL.
If you wanna see my ap1 it's on my channel

I think Honda should bring back the s2k to compete with the brz/86

I actually am curious about cheap Porsche ownership if thats even possible. Like how wildly available are 80’s 911 and to own and maintain.
You forgot the S2000 CR model which people are selling for like $70K right now
What happened to preludes?
What’s the name of the blue wheels in the middle row to the left behind him
Question? Does an LSD also help in snow. If so, why dont manufacturers offer it as a cheaper alternative to awd? I keep getting mixed answers
If an lsd helps in wet slick roads, it will help in snow. One wheel peel is a car crippling affliction that can ruin any great car.
@@EjinRenos thanks... Thats what i thought, but some argue that two wheels putting power down, will cause u to break the wheels loose easier in the snow. I just dont understand y manufactures only offer an lsd on manual or performance cars, if it could also help in snow, and is cheaper than awd... And would be good enough for most places that only get inches of snow at a time where awd really isnt necessary.
So glad that i finally picked up an s2000 after 4 years of wanting one! So in love with the car!
Having owned an AP1 I regret selling it :(
Always keep the S660 in mind
My question is why are car guys so cringe. I like cars don’t get me wrong but never make my so ugly to a point where I can’t drive it.
