When Pat says: "Alright we have time for 1 more" and then the last call is none other than Tommy Tallarico himself, its such a treat. Like the end of a Nintendo Direct where they say theres one more thing to show, and then its the biggest reveal of the event.
Yes because he did the music for Color a Dinosaur
Thanks for taking the question! Eoin from Ireland 🇮🇪
Glad Tommy keeps calling in xD
Tommy’s message from a couple weeks ago when he hit Pat with “deGrom sucks”😂😂
I consider "complete" everything included with the original package including ephemera like warranty cards or stickers.
However if there is an item that was only sometimes included, like a poster only from a specific retailer or something, then I don't need that for it to be complete and it's just bonus.
It's perfectly fine to be satisfied with just box, manual and game; but it's not technically complete. And if you are selling something as "complete" you better be sure to state exactly what is has in it or you could end up upsetting the buyer haha.
Cheers to the guy doing the Telereco impersonating. Dying laughing
Box with styrofoam, manual, and any inserts unique to that particular game.
I consider a "Complete" game when it technically comes with everything that it was supposed to originally carry: The box, styrofoam, dust cover, manual, game, poster (s), warranty, and any other inserts it may have had when it was initially released. Otherwise it could be considered "Almost complete", or just with box and manual, or something like that.
There's a bunch of sellers on Ebay that dont have a clue what cib/complete means. For those of you that think it means cartridge/cd, instructions and box, you've been misinformed. For most games there's more inserts than just the manual
If one takes it literally, CiB would be how it was when originally launched, with all the epilepsy warnings , posters, manual, maybe dlc codes unscratched. But it has shifted yes to box, manual, game.
Ebay, Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace sellers just want to sell their item and will say anything to do it. The amount of sellers, for example, saying they have a ps3 that is "Backwards Compatible" when they know that that phrase means for the PS2 and not PS1 as all of them are so it doesn't need to be said makes me wish I could kill people anywhere on Earth with my mind. So inaccurate CIB listing doesn't surprise me at all.
Most inserts aren't even special to the games either. They charge premium for "registration" card.
@@Clay3613 if you were missing a pinky toe, would you be complete? Pinky toes aren't unique to you, everyone has them.
There's also a lot of sellers on Ebay that don't know what "rare" means.
Blasto is amazing I never hear anyone talking about it any more 😊
I used to play the crap out of that game on a demo disc as a 90s baby; need the full game in my life someday!
Voice actor was a huge part of it tho...he passed away sadly
To me, a complete game is the cart/disc, booklet and box/case. The other inserts are bonuses to me.
Super Dodgeball is an amazing idea. Maybe a crossover with the movie too? Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller as an unlockables? LOL!
Complete game? A game that comes with everything that it was originally sold with. Not complicated.
11:23, oh hey it's me, I almost though I wasn't gonna make it on the podcast but patience paid off!
bad like a california bagel! I my gosh I lost it! too frickin funny!
THOMAS "The Tank".. Give it a few more weeks the way things are going, and he'll become Tom The Time Bomb... Tickticktickarico...
Don't ever stop, Tommy... errr. THOMAS.. That said, don't be mad at us because the Amico has about as much processing power as a Commodore Plus/4.
Pat was at an Alicia keys concert, and someone passed him what he thought was a clove cigarette. Love the topic.
In 7th grade a classmate asked to borrow my Zelda cart and I naively let him. A week later I asked if he'd return it soon and he said "It's my last day at this school, my family is moving tomorrow" and I had a split second to weigh the pros and cons of beating his ass when the bell rang and he disappeared into the crowded hallway. I looked for him after school but never saw him again.
Not too late to find him
@@DanielRivera-on5qh lol it was over 30 years ago, I don't even remember his name
Pat, You should check out Operation Wolf in VR on the PSVR sometime. It plays really well for a virtual simulation of the real cabinet. I was pleasantly surprised 😯.
If I could own one arcade game from the 80s (and pretending that I have the space for it) it would be the full car version of Outrun.
You guys are the best to do it, thank you thank you
When the game has all the inserts that came with the original game, coupons, posters and alike as well, the plastic bag and ofc the manual, cart, original styrofoam and dust cover. Also, the box has to have the lid/lids and flaps intact to be complete. Just my 2 c/Peace
Don't forget the receipt showing the original price, store name, and location!
@@lo1bo2 and a notarized affidavit from the original cashier attesting to its authenticity
Cool seeing my question made the title of the video, keep up the great work
A "Complete" game? I'd say it has everything that is unique for that game. Inserts like for a Nintendo Power subscription, or some kind of survey, etc., not important.
Pat should smoke more, maybe he wouldn't be so high strung.
I can't believe the Affleck casting was 8 years ago. I remember searching CZcams to get some details about it and that how I discovered the cupodcast.
As someone who collects retro Nintendo stuff I can honestly tell you that paper boxes were not meant to be kept therefore there is no such thing as a complete or incomplete old Nintendo game. That's the difference between a case and a box
What I really love about podcast Tommy is that even long after the Amico's dead he'll probably never run out of material because real Tommy will never shut his mouth or stop acting like a giant toddler. He's really going to get a lot of mileage out of this gimmick and I couldn't be happier for him.
I don't give a shit about warranty or registration cards when collecting a CIB title. I also find the foam for Sega CD, Saturn and longbox PSX not necessary since you can easily make your own.
First time I saw gladiator at the local pizza parlor, I was awestruck!
Tommy being a terrible spokesperson for the Intellivision Amico is pretty on brand. To be the spokesman for Mattel's quick entry into the lucrative videogame market with their more "casual" system, Mattel got a 53 year old occasional sports columnist- George Plimpton. Kids didn't know anything about this guy, but parents with deep pockets (since the Intellivision was almost double the price of the VCS when it launched) might. Plimpton never played a videogame before he was hired, and later in life admitted he never played one EVER- even after he was hired by Mattel. In his commercials, Plimpton is always saying stuff like "to my eye, Intellivision Baseball looks more like the real thing". He never says the games are fun because he never actually played them. He's literally giving a superficial analysis just looking at someone else playing a game and offering an uninformed opinion on a game he has no intention of ever playing. So good job, Tommy, keeping that tradition alive.
The Super Dodge Ball idea would be amazing. I mean, do the RPG elements like they do in River City Ransom, maybe have a store to buy better shoes and things like that to improve stats further... yeah, I can see this.
Game Box, Manual, Cart, that's all that matters to me, if i can get more than that when collecting a game, COOL! but to me those are the bare minimum to a complete game.
Same, I'd also like anything included that is related to the game itself. Star Tropics with Uncle Steve's letter, Zelda with the map, etc. The ads don't matter to me.
@@Bartlebycs yeah, those are pretty rare but would be welcome, as i said if there's more than the box, manual and game it's welcome, but those three are the bare minimum, cant call a game complete without them.
I'm going to be sad when Tommy stops calling
*sleeve, or case too if it came with it too right? Nes sleeve. Snes bottom. Gb clamshell
Pat, you need a one hitter with a dugout. It will chill you down to the core.
More importantly, when are you considered a completionist?
If over 75-80% of your collection is CIB I’d think
I flew out to California for a 49er playoff game in January 2020. Gelonade from Connected Cannibis was amazing. Cant get it on the east coast. Please check it out Ian and report back lol
I wonder if Pat will get an Amico to review it.... lol
if it ever even gets released
I traded games (each borrowing) several times as a kid. Once I traded Super Mario 3 for Tiger-Heli. When I gave Tiger-Heli back, he said he forgot. He said that a few times. Once he said he had it at his locker, I followed him and he literally ran after closing his locker. I cried to my parents and the next day his parents made him give it back. For a while afterwards, my dad would use a dremel to etch my name into my NES carts to prevent to mark them as mine.
In the past i attempted to re- purchase some of the SNES games i had as a kid CIB but they weren't CIB by many collectors definition which is fine. A complete retro game imo is box, manual and game, if the game comes with the original poster that is a bonus.
With the pandemic still an issue and retro game prices still high im using flash carts on most of my retro game systems. Great topic thank you to the viewer for asking that question.
Tommy's losin' his cool. He could go off at any moment, though I'm sure his rage fit will be delayed until any shred of relevance it had is long gone.
I agree he was not as good this time.
Maybe better next time!
Ian, I once let someone borrow my copy of Jet Grind Radio for GBA (i still have my box manual and poster for the game) and he let me borrow Game & watch gallery 3 and we never bothered to return them back to each other and well needless to say Jet Grind Radio is MUCH harder to replace still sad about this. LOL
Box, manual, warranty card, disc/cartridge. If it's SNES, inner cardboard tray & plastic bag should be included. Favorite Playstation franchise I'd like to see make a comeback is TWISTED METAL. Favorite childhood game would have to be PONG. Picking just 10 favorite arcade games won't be easy but here it goes...DONKEY KONG, ELIMINATOR, SPACE DUEL, SPACE INVADERS, SPIDERS, STAR CASTLE, TAC/SCAN, TEMPEST, VENTURE, ZEKTOR.
I'm with you on the rail shooter arcade games Pat. Love em! And basically any Capcom beat em up.
I want a T-Shirt that says "Alright Ian"
A long-sleeve t-shirt and pant ensemble would not be enough to fit Pat’s enunciation of his co-host’s name
*_IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!_*
It was probably a full spectrum CBD cart.
Great Question!
Sly Spy. Pat just blew my mind. Holy shit. I totally forgot about that one.
No silica packet no deal :D
I'm in for a gritty Mappy open world crime game
Lent out Bulls vs Blazers on SNES for TMNT IV. Could never get Bulls back and at the time I was irritated until I picked up NBA Jam TE. Now, I am pretty sure I made out in the deal.
You should roll a big ol blunt with Pat and make sure he feels it 😂
I'm still on the fence with that question simply because of TurboGrafx 16 games. I can find a game like once a year, but never with the cardboard retail box. I don't know whether to claim them as complete without them or not.
I think complete goes for everything that was designed to be kept. Cardboard boxes weren't meant to be kept
"boom! somebody goes all edward snowden on me" god damn lmao
🤣🤣
If I could make any game on a AAA budget it would definitely be Shadowrun. Been dying for a modern version/sequel to that game forever.
I will be sad when Tommy has to get a real job and can't call in anymore
Tommy with those 2013 chipsets 🤣
I’m fortunate enough to own a terminator 2 cabinet
Now I just need to get it running
So there’s a guy in the acting world who calls himself Not Tom Cruise, he makes his name portraying Tom Cruise…Not Tommy Tallarico needs to make his own CZcams channel!
Complete means every poster, registration card, manual, cartridge, box, every little stupid piece of meaningless paper that was included when opened new. Anything else is partially complete. Game, box, and manual is not complete unless that was all that was included in the new product.
Kenny from Blackburn get down to Bury to Arcade Club!
18:19 BEUM!
Are you hyped about the Amico?
Tecmo was selling fake G-shocks? I consider myself an expert on vintage Casio watches and the watch shown in the photo is 100% fake. Anyone who knows vintage G-shocks well can attest to that.
Pat and Ian rule.
Bring back Nightmare Creatures
Thomas the tank engine 🤣🤣🤣😂😂
Happy 7/10 day!!!!
I'd like a new Pursuit Force game. I had Extreme Justice on psp. It was fun.
"Give me a triple A MAPPY" lmao., how about a triple A CIRCUS CHARLIE., lmao !!
Dodgeball story, already exists
Google it?
Dudes funny...feature him...
I swapped Duke Nukem forever for Borderlands 2 in high school with a friend of mine It went “missing” so he let me keep borderlands 2
Love borderlands 2

Id love to blaze with Pat and ian One day im gonna stop by in san diego. And pick up some gummies for ian
I had spleunker for nes, then victor(dick) came over with ten yard fight....looked for spelunker for hours and hours...it was stolen by him...I guess
Pat sounds like hes 97 years old when he talks. How did you get sooo old sooo fast??? Theres a topic or question you can answer.
Ok I do have a story about letting someone borrow a game and not getting it back. So when I was in the 1st or 2nd grade there was this kid who lived down the street from me and I think his name was Jacob. I remember that his family was kind of dysfunctional, but he was a nice kid. Well I had gotten Mortal Kombat 3 on the Snes, I think I had Ultimate MK 3. Anyways I had gotten that for Easter I think. Well Summer rolls around and I let this kid borrow my game and all of a sudden the family packed up in the middle of the night with my game never to be seen again..... I was disappointed but honestly that port sucked looking back at it lol
Something happened to me but when I was in middle school and it was Final fantasy 6 for the psone
@@Anthonyelmio2 FF6 is a way better game than the home port of MK3 though lol
@@heisensaul5538 I know and it's my favorite Final fantasy
@@Anthonyelmio2 I hope you were able to get another copy of the game at some point
I'm the one who asked the borrowing question, & I assure you I'm not the same Jacob you are referring too, haha, I wasn't born when MK3 came to the Super Nintendo

WTF...Heritage Auctions sold an OG NES Zelda for 870k 🤑🙄
Because: capitalism 💩
Or, the auction was rigged.
@@juicyfruit6311 yeah, as of this in July '21 a 90-something WATTA LoZ went for almost a mill. Geezus. What a scheme.
Yeah either they really like that game or they're stupid to believe they'll get more than that later
I’m so glad this obsession with games being “complete”is going to die over time since all modern games are complete with two items: case and game. I don’t know why it bothers me so much but all the “minty fresh” talk makes me want to puke.
Get a job, then you will probably care less about people liking to own stuff that you think holds too much value. Notice how I said, "probably," as you could just as easily still be upset over people liking things.
@@CrAzYpotpie I own that my negative position on people being obsessed with “complete” games is on me. But do you see the irony of coming at me with oddly personal attacks? Somehow you assume I don’t work because of, what, I make comments that nerds feeling like someone has robbed them of happiness because they don’t have an unnecessary instruction manual? Besides, everyone who watches these videos cares on some level. Otherwise, why the hell are you watching this shit in the first place.
Does that guy acutally thinks he's funny?
Supppppppp
Completely uneccessary POTcast
Why does Ian talk so loud when the mic is so fucking close to his mouth.
