The objective evidence is that Damian McFarren is a paid shill (and if NintendoLife keeps him on, they're in on it). Remember this is the guy that wrote multiple infomercials masquerading as news articles about the Polymega. The ultimate insult was when he published a piece about the Polymega being shown (past tense in the article) at GDC and it went up BEFORE GDC had even opened. I attended that GDC and asked around all day at booths where the Polymega was supposed to be shown and with developers they were "partnering" (a word Tommy also likes to abuse), and they were a total no-show. Their "partners" were like "yeah, we heard they were going to be here but we haven't heard a word from them and we'd really like to see if this thing is real". The NintendoLife article was total lies about how the Polymega was shown to press and developers at GDC (again, this was published BEFORE the conference even opened). It later turned out that Polymega wasn't at the conference. Forget about a booth, they apparently couldn't even afford to pay for a day pass. Instead they were in a hotel room somewhere in the Bay Area and invited some hand-picked "influencers" to see something in a shell. It was likely a generic SFF pc- because that's all a Polymega is, a PC in a custom shell running free, off-the-shelf emulators. Even though anybody could have made what they had made (given over a year and half a million in crowdfunding), they were still afraid to let a technically savvy audience (like those that attend GDC) get a close look at it. I guess they saw what happened to the Atari VCS.

I chatted with Tommy on Facebook and it was a good chat for a while until I asked him if the Amico was still coming out in October, needless to say he ended the chat and never responded to me at all…. So by him not responding to my question basically told me that his answer is “No”… lol
This is a lesson on how to check your ego at the door and hire a PR person. I could give a shit about intellivision (no offense), but whenever I hear of it now, I’ll think of Tommy and this chapter. I mean that kinda hurts the brand, no?
I typed what I thought on the Facebook page and surprise surprise who fired back at me? Tommy, the man himself.
The "parts shortage" didn't stop Evercade, PS5, Xbox Series X, NewWave Dragon's Lair, Xbox Series S from shipping in 2020. The parts shortage didn't prevent the Atari VCS, New Wave Asteroids, etc from shipping in 2021. It also looks like the "parts shortage" isn't keeping the PlayDate, Evercade VS, New Wave Q*bert, and the Switch OLED from shipping before the year is over.
Also, how can the "parts shortage" affect software? Why has there been no visible progress on software in a year? Compare this to PlayDate who did suffer a delay from 2020 to 2021 BUT it gave them additional time to make MORE software (so you are guaranteed 24 games instead of 12 included with the purchase). Instead the number Amico launch titles keeps dropping. He initially promised over 60 at launch and last I read (Tommy keeps moving to goal posts, so it may have changed again) it was down to 20 launch titles.
@WarPumpkin Yeah, I feel if he's having trouble finding parts using 2015 era SOC's in 2021 is probably a huge part of it. I can't imagine those are still currently being produced new out of a factory. That leaves sourcing whatever finite supply currently exist or paying someone to make them for you special.

Tommy keeps saying it's not crowdfunded. So if it's not, then Tommy LIED in his SEC filing papers because those say the Amico is CROWDFUNDED. If Tommy's answer is "well that's just the government's definition of crowdfunding", then my response is "then it's the legal definition of 'crowdfunding' and that's the only one that counts". Tommy keeps making his own definitions to words, so he can later claim he didn't lie. Words like "exclusive", "partnership", "publisher", "physical games", "Global Director", "temp contractor", "consultant", "industry standard", "close friends", "game designer", "original ip", "copyright", "hack", "leaked", "force feedback", etc.

Honestly, I wonder if the 'article' was just an ad that Tommy's gang bought. At this point, this is turning into more of a circus than the Atari VCS, which is really saying something considering all of the BS that surrounded that. It had nothing but problems during its development, with numerous delays, key personnel leaving, dodgy interviews, misinformation, hardware changes and more. I think this is beginning to get to the level where it's eclipsing that, which is a pretty good achievement, I must admit.
It's kinda amusing to a point but also sad. This is a grown man, the CEO of a company no less, acting this way. Lots of companies/products get criticism from people and just keep going. Tommy gets criticism for *anything* and flips out at anyone that doesn't agree with him. Instead of constantly making an ass of yourself just man up and get your product out.
The best thing the Amico has yeilded so far is Cyrus Martins drunken "amico hater" rant in a scuzzy looking basement while Tommy was trying to show off his "console".

Wow I was interested in the Amico for a little while since I learned about it at E3 but the more I learn about it, it's history, and it's horrible leadership the more I'm convinced that its just cheap gimmicks being used to distract from the investment scam that it is. I used to like ReviewtechUSA. I used to enjoy watching his video. It was getting a little tougher to watch Rich's stuff, but I still soldiered on and watched them b/c I thought some of what he had to say was interesting, I didnt always agree with him but I thought his stuff was interesting, nonetheless. When he showed up on video going on about the Amico and wearing all the merch, I was done. I unsubbed when he decided that he LOVED Tommy and Tommy Tallerico could do no wrong. The fact that he said he wasnt a shill for the Amico was laughable. And even when Tommy ghosted him, he acted more concerned than pissed off like he should have been. It was like he reazlied what Tommy was but didn't want to say the truth. I do think you're right Pat when you say that he was trying to side with Tommy to take you guys down, however I think that was only part of it. It seems like he actually liked Tommy as a person too.
Edit: I have to add this, after thinking about it. Tommy claims to be pals with Shigeru Miyamoto, yet said this about the Switch @ 22:30. Which is it Tommy? Are you friends with Miyamoto or does the Switch promote all those things you mentioned? I'm fairly certain Miyamoto wouldn't approve of those things on his console if it was true.

When has tommy Ever told people he considers his friends to behave themselves. This is different from randos on youtube trashing critics, these are people in tommy's inner circle.
So is tommy responsible because he never has tried to stop them. Can tommy point to a time when he told his followers not to attack you or Ian.
I cant recall of any time where he instructed anyone to attack Pat or Ian. The crazies are just in the same league as the 'haters', both sides dont typically look at the details/criticisms themselves, but rather import the opinion of others to formulate their own.
While I did preorder, I wouldn't defend the product as if I was an employee, nor would I blindly believe Tommy is somehow plotting to screw anyone over like a Batman villain. All in all, this is entertainment; just, how serious do they want to let it affect them? (The haters or fanboys alike)

I doubt Nintendo even knows the Amico exists. If it wasn't for this podcast I'd have no idea the amico exists. The Amico being shit on by everyone post E3 is about the only time the thing has ever risen above "thing a small amount of people on youtube talk about".

I was actually on-board with the Amico when it was first announced. Not because I thought it was a good idea (it wasn't) nor because I thought it would be successful (it won't), but because I thought it was just a fun passion project.
Fast-forward to today and I'm glad I never pre-ordered a system because Tommy Tallarico is actively slaughtering his own company. He seems completely unhinged at this point, even beyond narcissism, and it's a damn shame. I know he was egotistical to begin with and never took criticism well, but this is on a whole other level. He needs to shut up and hire a proper PR team, though I fear it's already too late at this point.

@@PatTheNESpunk ok after re-watching 1st episode again I didn't see him and assumed that was the reason for reuploads. (Even asked in the live stream to no answer) And calling a long time fan a liar instead of correcting in a polite fashion is uncalled for and lost you a nearly decade long fan.
