What do you think about Tommy's empty legal threats? Why do you think a CEO would act like this? And what the posts on the AtariAge forums? Do you think these games have actually been worked on or is Tommy lying? Check out Tommy's AA posts here: atariage.com/forums/topic/288558-intellivision-amico-tommy-tallarico-introduction-qa/page/1251/#comments
I left atari age because of how pro amico it is and ignores everything wrong with the whole situation. So I can't tell you what they are saying. I'm sure way more than 50% are defending everything Tommy said or how he acted. And are still waiting for the product. They are a special kind of group ;) but when it comes out and they feel cheated, that's when the tides will turn. But by then it's like who cares. They fought every step of the way why give up now? Lol. And why care if they change their mind, they will get exactly what they deserve in the end....
The main reason a CEO would do this is to mitigate the hit to sales that honest reviews would cause. He wants to boost the sales on release as much as possible before the whole thing collapses around him.
Honestly, that thread is a stain to AtariAge; it’s just the same 5-6 people and grifters inflating the thread. For the real AtariAge, I’d say it’s within the homebrew community. The channel I posted in chat, ZeroPageHomebrew, represents the true AtariAge and not Tommy Tallarico and his groupies. Also, Audacity Games (formed by the Kitchen Bros. and David Crane) used the site as their platform to elevate the company’s reputation, as well as said channel.
BTW, Circus Convoy is truly a fantastic game and am looking forward to getting Casey’s Gold!
@@JasonVectrex_187 Man, even people on Atari age are starting to question things now.
@@jstrotha0975 too late for me. I found almost nothing but praising and defending it. Very few people actually holding Tommy accountable. That's just not my crowd I'm happy I left, me and my old school games is better time spent than on online politics and shilling for attention and views. People that blind are and willing to lash out are not good people to be around
I was the tiny YTer who got 2 DMCA strikes from Intellivision. Even YT knew Intellivision was full of it because YT sided with me both times.
Good to hear, be shame something as obscure as the amicodoggle stomped on your YT traction - no jokes at all, your channel easily more important so matter how tiny
@@BRBMrSoul Thnx for that dude!
@@BRBMrSoul that was some straight up facts right there.

Nah, that delay with the dice actually happens in real life. Last time I was in Vegas on acid it paused for like a half hour.

@@PatTheNESpunk Watch yourself Pat. Tommy is using shady tactics against you.
Can't wait for Tommy's response in your next voicemails video.
I feel like Tommy hasn't/won't ever possess the proper personality to run a business. He has been ruining things for himself for years.
Why would confidential information be fake?
Why would fake information be confidential?
The reports are the Amico specs were public. When it was reported and critiqued, the data was taken down and Tommy threatened legal action against those who posted it. It's like a football coach posted all his plays on a non password protected site and gets made when people view it and critique it.
Putting CONFIDENTIAL info on a public site. Nothing could go wrong! 😀
@@juicyfruit6311 my main problem with his statement is he can’t have it both ways - either it’s a leak of true internal Amico info that shouldn’t have been leaked, or it’s outright false information that Ars Technica created to slander Tommy. It can’t be both.
he wants his games to be aimed towards children so much that he keeps acting like one
🤣
Most underrated comment of the whole video.
Tommy has had his pants pulled down, Digital Foundry commenting on it has shone a light on this vanity project.
At this point, I like to imagine Tommy hearing all of Pat and Ian's Amico conversations. It's funny to imagine him getting pissed off each time.
He definitely listens in his Spider-Man room.
The sad thing is Pat and Ian have actually been giving him good advise regarding this fools errand of a console project since day 1. They have been asking the important questions, like "who exactly is this thing for? What is the Target Audience?" for years. Questions that Tommy never seemed to dwell on or answer in his rush to roll out his very own console, second only to SouljaBoy's.
@@andrewtaylor940 Tommy gave Lukewarm answer's to those questions ( terrible parents, people who don't know what a video game is ( mainly those who play games like CandyCrush on their phone or tablet), families, and those that want to argue couch co-op is gone when we have been seeing a rising of said type of titles coming back lol).
Like a snake oil salesmen though Tommy always would just give a tiny bit of info then blame his legal team by saying something like " i wish I could show you or talk about this awesome feature for the Amico, but sadly we are still working out the copyright issue" when they were like a month or two away from release lol.
Sitting there like Skeletor “ILL GET YOU PAT!!!! Aaarrggghhh!!!”
All I hear when Tommy speaks is flushing toilets.
"Ian!"
"Pat"
"So Tommy Talarico......"
*Life drains from Ian's body
If you are the CEO of a company you have a responsibility to shut down and denounce toxic behavior from your customer base. Actively using your community to attack and harass people is quite frankly unforgivable. Responding to criticism with deflection and personal offense creates a toxic community. I want people to get the product and be happy with it. I want to see a positive community spring up around it. Tommy’s behavior as CEO of Intellivision and his inability to stand up to criticism is the biggest detriment to that happening. That’s entirely on him, as the CEO he drives the narrative of his product. If the Blaze team responded to initial Evercade skepticism in the same way they would be DOA instead of launching a new console this year.
Is he a CEO? For those that don't know many LLCs will call their owner a CEO but can't on any legal paperwork. Like Randy of Gearbox.
CEO is a legal term for a person who is a legally voted on to represent a public corporation.
The E3 presentation contained the same recycled footage from 2 years ago. People were expecting to see new footage from games like Cloudy Mountain and Moon Patrol to prove that progress is being made, but instead we were shown Photoshopped photos of families holding Amico controllers. What about their Earthworm Jim game? Heck, what about Bomb Squad, Super Breakout, Missile Command and the dozen of other titles they promised? It feels like these games were nothing more than concept demos (a proverbial carrot if you will) to dangle in the faces of potential customers, so they will open their wallets on launch day (if that day ever comes). It feels disingenuous and misleading.
This is a case of the captain self sabotaging the ship by accident because he is a bumbling, prideful, incompetent fool.
Then screaming at the sea and complaining /making excuses as to why the sea should not sink his ship. While at the same time sabotaging it some more & crying.
Tommy Talltales' "Amico Mafia" has to be the most pathetic collection of humans possible
I've looked at the subreddit a few times, and a lot of people there seem reasonable but there are a few that are absolutely rabid. Anyone who criticizes the Amico is "full of misinformation" according to them, and everyone just "twists Tommy's words and lies". It's bizarre. Or the person "obviously didn't do any research". They use those same excuses to downplay or disregard any piece of critical media.
Just to clarify.. I'm referring specifically to people who are seeking out others (journalists, podcasters, etc) on Tommy's behalf to harass them
"But We wrote CONFIDENTIAL and NOT FOR PUBLIC all over the files". Somebody do please explain the subtle legalities of you not being able to enforce your "Confidential" rules on people who are not employees of or in a contract with your organization, to Tommy.
Callout John Riggs... what a victory lap guys wow
I don’t know if he turned into a shill…or was always a shill. I had to unsub from that guy.
I doubt Riggs can get to the starting block much less run a lap.
I like to imagine a crisis meeting at Intellivision following the technica article where someone said "not in the ars"
*in the cornhole instead..!!
Hey, to all the shills in the comments: If you think Pat and Ian are wrong, why did the larger gaming community (Giant Bomb, Digital Foundry, ArsTechnica, etc.) ALSO echo their criticisms and observations after that awesome Amico E3 presentation?
#I'll_wait...
Pat and Ian have been right about the Amico this whole time. It screams Chameleon with all its red flags. I can't believe how many people in the retro space fell for it again.

Tommy Tallarico should hang out with Butch Hartman, they have so much in common.
I guess now it's racist to hate on a console.
Gaming racist!
The fact that this console was delayed multiple times, limited to "E" titles and wanted exclusive titles killed it.
E10 to be more precise, but the real killer to me ( according to the Ars Technica article) is that there will be no 3D games ( given their controller design though I can see why. Having just watched their last two Amico reaction videos I couldn't help but laugh when one youtuber commented that the Amico's dail pad is better then the analouge sticks lol).
Tommy's Livestream last night had 80 viewers when I looked, what a terrible look
Meanwhile, Pat & Ian talking about Hot Dogs had almost 400 :)
is tallarico now one of the bigger downfalls of a respected person in video gaming? hes now on the level of a billy mitchell, bobby kotick, todd howard, cdpr or randy pitchford
Did anyone ever really respect Randy tho?

To be fair, there are people who WERE hyped for this, but saw the rubber hitting the road as time went on, such as MadLittlePixel.

Can't wait fot that little console with the crank on the side to come out and blow Tommy's mind 🤣
He won’t get in trouble, he will just go back to being Tommy, rationalizing it’s failure
I think Pat means more about the investors suing Tommy if they find out he has no real stuff to present lol.
Delay on dice is almost certainly because it's a premade video on the screen and the person who shook the controller with the dice "released" a second early. As in, i doubt they're that close to that even being functional.
Looks like Tommy is finally loosing what little grasp he had on reality.
*losing
Victor Lucas please rescue him.
Implying he ever had a grasp on reality to begin with
@@mkbcnb- What do you suggest Victor Lucas could do to fix this debacle? Suggesting Tony zip his lip for awhile might help but T.T. Isn’t likely to do that. 🙊
"Why won't you just let me fleece you?" - Tommy probably
But isn't this thing estimated to be only about $100 or so How is that fleecing?
@@Boswd Try more like $250 to $300 depending on the color. Gamestop is currently taking preorders for an October 10th release. That release date is looking very doubtful, but they are going to wait until the last minute to announce the delay, just like they did the last delay.
I felt Earthworm Jim was vital to show cause it’s literally only game that would peak anyone’s interest
The correct word is "pique", not "peak". That Earthworm Jim walking animation demo was done in Adobe Flash, but then they were "totally blindsided" when Adobe Flash stopped working on their computers on January 1, 2021 and they "couldn't have foreseen" this happening even though its EOL was announced in 2017 and it's all Pat's fault that they couldn't work on Earthworm Jim.
I remember I commented on a video attacking you in regards to Amico about him lying about you and Tommy himself actually responded to me. He was just telling me more and more about how you're a piece of shit and you had your chance to come to his mansion, see the Amico, and ride in his Ferrari and you refused. All I told him was that he's gotta stop being so fixated on you, especially since he's THE CEO OF A COMPANY LAUNCHING A CONSOLE and you're not, and to just make the Amico the best thing he can and let it speak for itself. He just responded talking about you more and more and I didn't respond any further. I just couldn't help but remember that when I heard about all this. I tried to warn him.
This is going the way of the Polymega in terms of delays and poor management
A blind man can see that thing is some junk .
Tommy Tallarico just destroyed his own product.
Even now I feel like we're giving him too much credit
What product?
It’s more of a concept than an actual product……….Tony’s video gaming royalty so watch it bub. 🤴
@@MrJholshouser41 We should make one. Gotta give him a product to destroy it.
If his product is real.
And here I was thinking the Intellivision Amico drama was over for now…
It's just gonna get weirder from here on in as shipping dates are missed, more articles come out, etc. Also concerning is how little gameplay has been shown of anything besides maybe Finnegan Fox... leading me to wonder how complete any of the games actually are (let alone if the hardware is complete... again, which I suspect I know the answer to).
@@IgorsDen Excellent handle, btw
Ego no amico. Intellivision Ciarlatano.
Tommy has no self-awareness and is a petulent manchild. Here is his mindset:
"There's a lot of dark, evil things that people are doing to me and my family, over a video game system that they've never played, and they all bow at the altar of those two guys. They take it to a dark place and a racist place." - Tommy on Roxolid Productions Feb 24th 2021
Mike Kennedy did the same thing a few years ago……..it seems like history is to repeat itself somewhat
Mmm, it's like boxing a 4 year old.
Another Amico topic on the CUPodcast and another chance to post: The Amico will be the Quibi of consoles.
I feel that is unfair to qubi, because at least they had sensible marketing lol.
Thank you Ian. Doug was a hero of mine growing up. Loved Earthworm Jim, fell into an Earthworm Jim hole and landed in the Neverhood, I was obsessed. Recently I saw Doug’s channel. Man, the world is weird.
It's a shame he didn't listen to you guys. Even though he might had reasons not to like you, he went predictably through exactly the same pitfalls you guys warned him about.
Glad the gaming community saw through Tallarico's BS. I saw one video and it was clear the guy was just trying to get as much investor money as possible without providing anything of substance. I thought the video looked fishy. Now to find out the system has been a scam from the start; it's nice to be validated, lol. Amico is nothing but a scam.

Tommy is saying he's getting threats about showing up to Crayola experience in PA to show the amico. It's not too far from me I'm wondering if I should take a look to see if it's that bad.
No doubt it'll be just another of his many lies.
@@scootakuh3142 you mean the threats he said he got? The controller actually didn't lag like I expected but it is a terrible design overall. The disc does not work well as a dpad and far from ergonomic. Astroblast was decent and something I'd buy for switch if it was on a good discount. Graphics for it were simple but sharp. Shark shark felt cheap and frame rate was low. Not as bad as I thought but I still don't see the market for it.
"Gaming racists" ? I'm a fan of Tommy from the "Judgment Day" show on G4 back in the day. But this is still one of the dumbest things I've heard.
God, I love this Amico drama!
this is all going to end, very very badly. I just hope Tommy doesn't do something stupid
Anyone getting the feeling that this will be the Amico's push for profits? Legal actions...
It is too bad they did not focus on a lower priced console with classic games featuring updated graphics without the gimmick motion controls. Something like the evercade but with the updated graphics.
I've never heard of someone associated with a game company downplay the actual games.
- Hey Nightstalker looks cool! I wanna see more of that! Hell I might buy your console just to play it!
- "No, the whole game looks like this. You don't need to see any more. Stop asking."
The fuck is "gaming racist" supposed to even mean?
I thought this might start happening after the system launched, but to do this now is very bad PR. Not to mention his argument has no merit; journalists have a right to do their job.
What a sad saga this has turned into. I read the ars article and it came off as fair across the board. If a third delay happens maybe it would be best if the company just puts the product on indefinite hold until everything can get sorted out imo
Don't think there is anything to sort out. The product was a failed concept from the beginning.
Did Electric Playground on G4 really inspire that many people? If so those people are sad.
Tommy always had the worst takes on that show, so I'd be fucking surprised.
The Amico is E-Waste
19:10 😂 at Tommy.
Here’s the REAL Numbers:
Pat The NES Punk CZcams Subs: 243K
Tommy’s PERSONAL Channel: 3.37K

Pretty ironic that SUPPOSEDLY Pat The NES Punk is the “Failed” CZcamsr. 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆
Alright….EEEAN. Pat “Ah, now I know where to cut the segment”… Anyway, Tommy Failarico, needs the My Pillow guy for help 😂. He’s a great lier.
Well, it was bound to come to this.
You know Tommy probably wouldn’t have an issue (besides this inevitably failing) if he just ignored all this and just kept up the charade of Mr. Positivity...but that ego lol. Like the Atari came out. It’s bad. Whatever and bet somehow everyone makes money off it’s failure anyways cause capitalism.
At the beginning I was willing to give Tommy a pass, because he stated that he did give Ian and Pat an invite to try the console. Any news Pat and Ian stated at the time was just pure speculation, but using that excuse months down the line when the marketing should have been doing the talking was when things truly started to fall lol.
Pat, I saw you on Pawn Stars selling your Nintendo Tournament carts! You look so young there! And you did a good job!
The Amico is doomed to fail. For a similar price you can buy the Nintendo Switch which is family friendly. I don't think Tommy is aware that exists tho.
He is and according to him(Tommy) Switch owners are violent perverted porn lovers because the switch is all sex, porn and violence.
Think too, ol tommy boy has been plugging this boondoggle before switch even dropped xD amico hasnt even come out yet and its already flopped vs competiton xD
I've never understood why anyone would be star struck by Tommy. He's hardly Kojima is he? So he's been in the gaming industry for a long time, but he's still essentially a nobody. Even though I'd been gaming since the late 80s I only discovered who he was with the Amico. He seems like a bit of a narcissist to me tbh. Definitely not someone who should be the face of a new product. He's killing its image. If Intellivision want to stand any chance of success with the Amico, they really need to remove him as CEO. And anyone who uses words like "gaming racists" clearly can't be taken seriously.
Then again, maybe he's very much appropriate as the face of the Amico as a child friendly console because he's the biggest child there is.

New from Amico - a non existent piece of $%/=
He blocked Pat, and yet, this channel is pretty much the only place I hear about the Amico in the circles I follow. Like Ian, I consider myself the prime demographic for this product. I am an older game fan, who loves well made, simple to pick up games. However, the cost of this thing alone has priced me out. If it were $99 with a bunch of great looking games available, I might buy in, but at $300 ... no way. It SHOULD be $99 given what we know about the hardware too. This whole project is a dumpster fire.
The youtube DMC take down system is very very flawed, as I know a youtuber that is just starting to get some success and a random person just decided they didn't like the video and DMC striked it down. The youtuber has tried to fight it with youtube and of course he was met with tons of auto replies and no real people. Sad that this can be abused, makes me think of ways I can setup bots to randomly strike random channels. Then I wonder if youtube would do something.
