- Whilst not being able to visit the North Pennines to complete another video I did find out some information during some research about the different types of Trig points used in the UK, including the extremely rare type known as the Fenomark. I set out to discover this trig point and what I find out is quite mind blowing...

A proper find there Duncan. Incredible to think it's been so close to home all this time.
I know, it is bizarre and took a little while to accept the idea but is it fate? Who knows... 😊
I cycled past that fenomark last week without realising it.
I'll go back soon to get a photo for my collection!
It's an unusual little thing, barely noticeable but so rare and had to do quite a bit of research to realise it was basically on my doorstep! Hopefully it'll be a photo worthy to add to your collection 😊
@@DuncanBaxteryes, and after all of your research I shall feel a tad guilty just rolling up to it to take a pic! 😳
there's an unusual trig point on Bink Moss, but don't go in the wet... wait until we have another drought before you go looking for it.
Are you referring to the Curry Stool on Bink Moss? If so I have already done a video on it, as well as the Stools on Herdship Fell and Iron Band, they are not the easiest to find but definitely different 😊
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooh
Yep, something a little different...😉
thats a good find duncan well done, now let me see you walk that trail from allenheads to allendale the one me and my brother hiked about 5 times, give us the memory as my brother is still not upto it yet,but if not keep up your wonderful videos mate.
Hi, sorry to hear your brother isn't 100% yet, sure he will be challenging those hills soon. Regarding the Allenheads/Allendale route, I take it the route is one way and not circular? I may be at the mercy of public transport if it is and it isn't my strongest point in those parts 😊
@@DuncanBaxter yes there is a circular route it will be sign posted in allendale the route back to allenheads
