The livewire is one of the funnest bikes I've ever ridden, but nothing is fun about 30 grand.
Actually, not a bad price considering electric BICYCLES are going for $7000.00 +. It still ain't cheap though.
@@NOWAY-jw3iq and it's an early adopters price, a live wire 2.0in 5-10years will easily have 50-100km more range
The price will come down with time. I worked at Best Buy when plasma screens were new technology. A 40” plasma cost $11,000. You wouldn’t be able to give that tv away nowadays.
here in the philippines the bike live wire cost 50k usd
@@Life-qg5pk 😮😮
Outstanding video. Was hoping Robert was going to turn into liquid metal and transform into a liveWire.
Haha that would have been nice
LMFAO!
They didn’t want Arnold to show up and shoot at him! You Know he would have;)
“Too many moving parts”
It can't form complex machines. Motorcycles have moving parts. It doesn't work that way.
This is good for riders who ride to a restaurant around the corner and back
Awesome video Matt. Plan on purchasing a triglide this year. Will test ride in the spring (damn Minnesota winter). Your videos are invaluable. Enjoy the videos especially your touring trips. Thanks and keeper coming.
Test rode one at a demo day... friggin great bike. If the price would come down though man, I'd totally buy one for around the Atlanta area.
Great job guys. I've been following Diego on IG for awhile and it's cool to see him finally featured a bit here. He is probably the single most persistent fan of the LiveWire out there and I'm sure he will ultimately influence several sales of this bike. Keep up the great work fellas
Amazing video Matt I enjoyed watching this!! Keep it coming!!!
Excellent video Matt.
Cool to see Robert riding along.
That Livewire is really something.
Great video. An excellent view of LA in it's raw form . A good look at the bike without all the giggles and cus words from the other demo vids.
Thanks man.
Probably the best video you‘ve ever made. Great bike und great channel! Kind regards from Munich, Germany!
Great to see Robert here and great vlog Matt as always!
My support from London, UK.
What a great video Matt, I am also proud to see HD ahead of the game with its first Emotorcycle. I am looking forward an Etouring bike.
You’ve up’d your video/production game my man 👊🏼 great job everyone 🙌🏼
Great video Matt and Robert seems to be a blast to hang around with, gotta love him .
I dig the Livewire but dang it I love my motor, pipes and sound. I definitely think it's the future but it's going to take awhile. Fingers crossed on Tuesdays report. God Bless
Been riding 20ish years. In 10 years (+/-) I'll consider something like this. Cool to see Harley looking at this technology.
Another great video brother. I mean if this doesn’t convince you to get the livewire I don’t know what will. Maybe just getting on one.😎 really looking forward to getting my livewire one. Keep it up man.
Epic! Captures both the Livewire and riding in L.A.
Great video thinking of purchasing my first Harley hopefully soon 2018 2019 street bob not ready to go electric yet
Great video man! Very interesting to see actual riders opinions on these, they seem like a great practical option for those who daily commute and will be another option for touring once charges are more available throughout the country
OMG I loved this video Matt laidlaw an Robert Patrick big Robert Patrick fan awesome awesome video the livewire is probably a great bike but not something I’d be interested in I own a 11 ultra classic I truly love Harley Davidson motorcycles thanks for making such a great video watching Matt an Robert riding both are exceptional riders
I rode one today and the bike is awesome!!
I had so much fun test riding!!
Everyone that rides it loves it. Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
Just put charging stations in front of bars. After all, that's where most Harley's spend their days, afternoons, and evenings.
Neo Smith So lame.
Neo Smith I ride a Harley. And you forgot to mention mornings
@@OnPointFirearms The truth hurts.
@@Sodbuster346 Most bars are closed at that time.
Paul O'Neal what bar isn’t open at least 11am.
I met Robert at the LiveWire demo ride in MKE last year. What a genuine guy! What a class act! The MoCo should utilize him more.
Great video Matt, really enjoyed it.
Like I said before, was considering the end of last year, however charging infrastructure here in the UK is not supportive enough to justify owning a Livewire, nor is the £28,500 price tag, the bike in my mind should be priced around £19,995.
Looking forward to picking up my 2020 Slim with Screamin Eagle stage 4 & V&H Bigshots next month.
This film is a Gem thank you Matt. Great to see a celebrity being « normal » and enjoying the ride! Kudos to Mr. Patrick.
Best video I’ve seen by you yet!!
Awesome video Matt - and the LiveWire is an awesome bike. And who better than Mr Robert Patrick to help showcase this futuristic machine?
Exciting times for Harley-Davidson and good to see the most traditional of MC brands writing the future of motorcycling.
I currently ride an Indian Scout but who knows; bikes like this, the amazing Fat Bob and many more to come keep the limelight on H-D and give the industry leadership and competition.
Yes - I'm tempted 😎
Unbelievable video. So naturally fantastic, just got a new sub & I hit that bell 🔔
Thanks Guys !!
Great video, I just bought one.
Love the running sound - great video, well done
LWX 461. I love my Livewire, I live in North Idaho and it is my go to bike. Not my first Harley, not my only Harley. Unreal experience 👍🏻😎⚡️🇺🇸
Robert Patrick actually sold me my first Harley in Santa Clarita in Dec. Nice guy.
Great video! Really enjoyed it! 👍
Wish you got him to actually say “say that’s a nice bike” while he was reviewing the bike
Surprised to see this wasn't priority 1.
As Robert Patrick’s T-1000 would say, “Say, that’s a nice bike” 🏍 not realising that the clip from T2 Judgment Day would be used. 😂. So great to have Robert Patrick ride along as well.
Thanks for sharing Matt. It really is a cool bike and had I not bought a LRS, I'd seriously consider one and do some custom paint. For 0-100% in 64 minutes is pretty damn good considering that's within a margin of error of less than 10% and probably worst case too. Robert Patrick, what a bad ass dude. I love it when famous people are also very real...respect.
I really NEVER expected Harley to make such a move towards the future. Very impressive forward thinking.
Great video Matt ! Thanks for the info.
Wow awesome video! I'm motivated to go ride! My story: I spent probably 4.5 hours total traveling to go test ride one of these with a friend at the end of this past summer, at a special Livewire demo event, one of only a few held in the US. It was based out of a large mall parking lot with the test route taking us around the mall and the surrounding service roads. We had these things going 90+ in that congested setting, it was truly crazy. My number one observation to share with someone who never experienced riding a Livewire would be how effortlessly the power comes on. Unlike a normal engine, the electric motor seems completely unstressed whether you're just floating through traffic at 10 MPH, or literally wide open accelerating to 100. If you appreciate engines, it's a unique sensation. Oh and by the way, I definitely believe it accelerates 0-60 in significantly less than 3 seconds. That might be another case of Harley underpromising on stats. I'll be sure to recommend this video to people I know! Thank you.
This video was as good as all the others I have viewed, your presentation of HD and the individual bikes is
terrific. The way you comment on previous models as compared to the one you are reviewing is very useful
and entertaining. . . As for the LiverWire, I am so not interested I surprise myself, the level of apathy is
only surpassed by the way I regard F1 in recent years. Please keep up with the excellent videos.
The fact that Harley gives out what seems to be numbers straight out from engineering gets my like.
Awesome video Matt, great to have Patrick join you. You should do more vids together.
Excellent video as always 🤙😎⚡️
Hey Matt, can that rear brake pedal be moved to the left side? I have a IDEO on my right leg and cannot use rear brake. How say you brother?
1st class Matt and WoW having Robert as your guest simply awesome man , my question is , with the LiPo battery they say it takes a few charges for the battery to be able to hold a full charge and last longer ,does this also apply to the livewire as well ?
Very informative and entertaining video. I just had a chance today to look at the Livewire at a bike show. Beautiful bike indeed.
Awesome, footage and camera work is through the roof. 0-60 in 3 seconds is wicked. Glad to see him on Mayans
very cool video.
hdmc should be thanking you for how much youre doing to help sell bikes outside of socal.
(gulping that juice down)
Robert Patrick was great in The Terminator I love the live wire really beautiful motorcycle Thanks for the video Matt take Care
Thanks man. Thanks for watching
Thanks Matt for another great video. Can't wait for the bagger version!
Haha. Me too
Really loved the video 😍
Is there a charge for using the quickie at the dealer? Will it be one more add on?
WTF!? I had no idea Bob Patrick owned a dealership and was a Harley guy. Now I love him 10 x's more. He's really selling this bike right now too.
Boozefighter too
Good video like always
Robert is the perfect rider to review any motorcycle..
High quality video 👍 Beautiful looking bike 👌
I like the video, good info. No mention of the cost for charging, and will charging ports be available when dealership is closed? Can a charging port be installed at a residence? What is the life expectancy of the battery?
can you use a level 3 charging station for a car? such as Volt or electrify America stations? At used 22k what do you guys think of the value at that price
Loved this video!
Great video Matt! The Livewire is a truly technological achievement. My only issue is the price. What market sector is HD aiming with this bike? The older HD crowd does not look very enthusiastic about this bike. I think it looks great.
Great video, Matt. Thanks for putting in the time for people that didn't know much about this thing, like me. I'm 33 and fell in love with Harley's at an early age because of the Old Man. I only recently got one in 2018. The FatBob 114. Absolutely love it and absolutely love the Harley Brand. I am still skeptical of the electric bike. It's still a fresh fish in a sea of two wheeled machines. Harley has done an amazing job, nonetheless. By far the coolest one I've ever seen. I'm sure some day most people will learn to adapt (including myself) to the electric bike format. Until then, I'm proud of Harley for staying innovative, motivated and up to date with their builds. All that being said, still can't beat the rumble of a cammed, piped, tuned blopping Harley. Although, we don't always have to ride the same bikes. Having an arsenal/variety in the garage is what the true enthusiast thrives for.
Thanks man. I appreciate the comment.
How does it compare to the zero sr/f? Just going off the cost and specs online it looks like the zero is the way to go. Thoughts?
Great video. Sweet bike!
What is the cost to replace the battery when it goes? Also, if a person buys this bike and doesn’t ride it often, and the battery drains. Will this damage the battery?
I’m surprised this wasn’t released in a cinema near you.
Good job boys!
Thank you!
Awesome video Matt.... Love your videos brother”
Appreciated. Thank you.
Great video Matt! I saw a lot of hand signals during the ride, which led me to wonder if the brake light activates during the regenerative braking/deceleration process?
It does. We were riding in a group. Hand signals are safer and more conspicuous.
When charging at the dealer, do you have to pay for the charge?
Another great video review
Really great video. Good job.
Thank you
Looks awesome and I've put my name down for a test ride, but... I live in a 240V country, are we going to get a different model that does 240V charging?
Seen enough. Checking out!
Honestly once Ewen understands the range he’s gonna be on his bike, the long way round.
The future is here.. I love it. Hoping to get one of these in the future.
Glad to see Robert 💞
Matt excellent video but one question what did it cost for the full charge? I'm sure you didn't pay but what would it cost your customer?
Yeah!!!! "A guttural G force; oh my God!". This is also how I felt after my test ride. Thanks from Seattle.
Love the video, and great to see the love of riding from Patrick. I would love to try one of these bikes, but just like every other bike maker releasing newer models, the pegs are a no go for a person with reduced range of motion for legs and or knees. PUT MIDS ON IT ! I have ridden electric bikes when overseas, and I loved it. The peace and quiet of riding late at night to relax after work, the throttle response in heavy traffic, all of the features were great, but nothing other than a scooter in size because NOBODY thinks about having an OPTION for putting mids or forward controls on them. I lost range of motion from an injury in the service many years ago, and I am sure there are others just like me; and that isn't even considering someone with arthritis or other range of motion limiting conditions. Harley came to the electric bike later than other companies, but PLEASE take the lead and give us optional riding positions.
Too bad you couldn't have gotten your Dad out there with you on this day. That would've been really nice. I love that video of him riding on his old Harley Davidson. 👍
great video. Robert was fantastic.
What a fantastic video Matt, excellent work man. I’m very interested to see where this goes for HD. It’s gutsy as hell for them of all companies to try this. I beg your forgiveness and I’m sorry to be negative, but this is just not something that will ever interest me. Im a very open minded person, but I’m too old, and must have all that you speak of in the beginning. I do however think it’s possible there will be enough younger modern minded riders to sustain the effort, and I wish HD all the luck in the world on its success.
Looking forward to a test ride!👍
Anyone know where you can get Roberts top from? 🙏🏽
Great vid. Loved the bike. And, oh my god it was tested by the T-1000!!!!!
You ran the live wire out power. Dose the live freewheel(disengage) to push? And if so can you freewheel while riding?
Yes, you can push it no problem when it’s out of juice.
Great video, Matt.
I can't see myself waiting 60 minutes for a bike to charge, I go to a gas station in less then 5 minutes. I'm out rolling.
but imagine being able to leave your house with a "full tank" every day.
@@Marksman2oo7 then wait 60 minutes to charge up, that's if you find a charger station some where, or go to any Gas station full up and go!
@@Marksman2oo7 yea its called stopping at the gas station around the corner from your house before you come home.. you will always have a full tank everyday
@@Marksman2oo7 yea its called topping off your tank at the gas station up the road from your house
Ok at 100 miles of riding at 50 mph that's ride 2 hrs, then 1 hr charging. Hmmmm I'll pass on that
Loving it that bikes is getting electrified. I hope that more will come out with their versions!
Really well done Matt, I can almost forgive you for the Challenger rant video!
Thanks man. 👍🏻
Ready and Waiting with the Community of Owners and Riders!
Diego, Liked what you did with the jacket and the HOG patches. There is only so much real-estate on a vest. Ride safe, ride often.
MojoMan Murph thanks it has been a labor of love going back 205 plus years riding HOGS ! #ridesafe #rideon
Wish he had a bigger part in Sons of Anarchy, but great to see him doing stuff like this just because he loves bikes and wants to ride cool bikes!
What does it cost to charge the bike per kilowatt? Is the charge port universal? This bike would be perfect work commute.
How much did the charge from 1% to 100% cost?
Holy Liquid Metal Terminator Matt !!😎
You know, that's just great footage of people riding for fun :)
Dear Mr. (Matt)
I hope this message finds you well. I'm interested in V REX motorcycle and I have a question that needs to be answered.
Could you please explain in brief the V REX pros and cons? I'm thinking of buying this motorcycle.
Thank you and I can't wait to read your reply.
Ahmed
Great video
Robert took his glove off at the greeting, which is proper biker etiquette. 👍
Great range i could easily ride to work and back for a few days without charging. I can't wait to see what the future of electric Harley's will bring
Nice! gota try one soon...
what is the cost to charge dc at the dealership?
It was long weekend waiting for this video to come out
Bass Rover beat to use Motley Crue’s LiveWire sound track. Lol
