- Hey guy those that have followed me for a while know that I absolutely love the game Dead Space. So I decided that I would go back and recreate his iconic Plasma Cutter out of HD-Foam so it's extremely light and con safe! This foam build also goes over the painting techniques I used to take it from a raw weapon to fully rendered cosplay accessory.

When I started following your channel I did not understood why you were sticking your pieces with contact cement AND super glue. I tought it was useless. Then, I gave it a tried. It's SO smart. I always do it now, sorry for my lack of confidence in your experience!

Made one years ago, i can tell you its VERY time consuming, but the effort is well worth it in the end. Can highly recommend you go with a 2-part suit though (vest+pants) as a single unit is a nightmare to put on, as i've learnt over my own mistake
Sweet! Thanks SKS, I've struggled/worried about building foam guns, but it really helps to know it's always about layering; bulking it up first then refining it.

This is the only dead space weapon we only make replicas of. I wouldnt mind the SWS pulse rifle, or the line gun.
Problem is with all games and media certain weapons are iconic and others aren’t

Jessica Vega I have a scrap box next to the band saw. I’m constantly diving back into it during builds to find pieces that might work. Once they get to small into the trash they go

You could use any material you want I've had some people that couldn't get eva foam use cardboard or plastics and honestly it just takes practice

Thank you for another amazing video! Your work is some of the best I have seen! By the way what size paper would I print the template on? Thanks again I will definitely be buying all of your foam products.
I make sure to hit poster in adobe pdf and print out on 8.5x11 but you can take the file to a copy place and have it printed out on larger paper

Do you have a tutorial for the suit? I've just started playing the game and I want to make the suit so badly. I just cant find any good references to the fabric underneath the armor.

3v 5mm green leds with a 3v 2032 coin battery on off switch

What size paper did you use to print out the template, and how do I go about getting that exact same size: what printer do I need? All I have is your typical essay size printing paper. Just sumbled upon your video and looking forward to build one of my favorite video game weapons!
Never mind, just saw one of the comments down below with the same question and with an answer; thank you! Clarify further if you'd like!
It's just normal printer sized paper but the trick is open the PDF in adobe acrobat and make sure that you select "poster" size. That will keep the template normal size and break it up between multiple sheets.

Because I have thousands of LEDs on hand and laser pointers are not always Con approved
