They either got balls of steel or shyt for brains I can't figure them out

These guys are also often mountain climbers, or riggers for events like concerts and other activities that require the same skill set. Handling a chainsaw on this kind of thing? NFW!!
I like your attitude 👍 doctors and paramedics save lives all the time , maybe they should have trading cards like baseball cards 🤔
I climbed poles for 40 years with gaffes. I’ve climbed some monsters in my day. This video made my palms sweat.
I bumped my head and spent a few seasons as an arborist/climber and I agree that my hands got sweaty just watching this video. I reached out to grab the log anticipating the shake. 😅
Dude, your under cut was way to close to your line. As a tree guy, that was frightening to watch.
I held my breath, like wtf is this guy doing!
Be safe out there buddy.
It was close to his lineman's but there's a tether around the tree a bit lower down.
He's doing just fine while *you're* sitting *too* close to the screen and whining about the work good he's doing.
Edit: He IS being safe.
Also why did he make it fall towards the house when the other way was just an empty driveway 😂

They say being uncomfortable with heights makes you more likely to fall. Slight changes in footing/ground level could make you feel like you’re falling and could cause you to actually fall. And the way you move around changes when you’re uncomfortable too and it doesn’t necessarily make you any safer. Whereas if you’re comfortable up there it’s like walking on the ground. How often do you fully fall down at ground level? The more comfortable you are up there the safer you are. Although I don’t get how someone can be so comfortable tied to a tree they’re cutting down. A whole lot could go wrong there. Tree guys really are a different breed.
Bro forgot to yell, TIMBER!!
This gave me amazing anxiety. Like a roller coaster but cheaper. Lol thank you for this upload
The proximity of that rope to the top of the tree and the saw blade gave me chills. This job takes some guts. Respect ✊
Glad im not the only one with a cold sweat while watching this video 😅
I saw the safety rope and the blade and i was like "Nope!"
I'd be shocked if it's not some weapons grade carbon fiber or something inside the rope
Feel like I'm gonna fall from way upthere just watching the video.
😧😮💯
The secret is make sure to cut above the strap. Never cut below the strap.
I don't respect people often, this guy deserves to be respected.
You don't? Really? Do you also torture small animals?
Might want to talk to someone bro.
What respect ? …he hasn’t done anything worth appreciating….he is cut the tree which is not a good thing to appreciate him. Trees are our oxygen cylinders for future. The coming generations will curse this guy instead of appreciating this video.

It's a stihl, anything less isn't worth it. Stihl really is the only company worth a shit lol (within their realm). I once worked for a roofing company and they would have the crew go out to their massive property once in a while to give us an 'easy' day doing yard work for them. Well, they had an entire shed filled with nothing but stihl equipment. Even had the weedeater with the straps and handles 😂 that shit was a blast tbh, they run so well it doesn't even feel like work most of the time.

My last twelve years of climbing the only thing that kept me in the trees were pain pills. I fell 60 ft in 2009 I woke up on a Life Flight. Worst mistake I ever made was going back That's when the pain pills started. Then I was pushed out of the business by non speaking english people who worked for way less then what we were all making My old employer put 9 Americans out of work.I'd like to save a couple of bucks I'm so thankful he paid dearly in the end for that mistake
At that time
This guy's an arborist, but it's the exact same thing, but they work on properties rather than being in the open
This type of work always baffles me, even as a man who’s worked a very dangerous job for the past decade I wouldn’t dare do this job for a day. Thanks for doing the tough work in the sky boys, stay safe.
I have a buddy who is in this line of work. He's been in the hospital several times for job related injuries and I tell him to run while he still alive. This line of work is no joke.
I don't know man I have a friend who does this and makes really good money. If his company had an opening I would do it in a heart beat.
My dad used to top trees for a logging company in the 60s and 70s in Washington state around Mt Rainier. He has some crazy stories about people getting hurt and even killed. Him and my uncle used chainsaws that had 6' bars. He started logging when he was 13 yrs old. His first job there was running big cables up and down mountainsides that he had to wrap around downed trees so they could pull them up to get them loaded on trucks. He had to carry dynamite in his pocket because sometimes he had to blow a cavity out underneath a tree to be able to wrap the cables around them. My uncle told me that one day a young guy that just started had dynamite under a tree and didn't mark it and they set it off and it killed him. He said they had to find what they could of him and put the pieces in a bodybag and went back to work. They brought his remains back into town after working all day. He was the toughest guy I ever met but he would do anything to help people. I miss him everyday. My uncle logged for almost 40 years there and lived in Forks, WA. He's still here but he's in bad shape from doing that kind of work so long.

When I was younger my dad had a tree business. I always thought he was such a badass when he would do this. He offered to teach me and let me do it and we would split the jobs 50/50. I really regret not doing it, not for the money, but the experience and having the roles reversed of him seeing me up there. Respect to any man doing this.

The tree climber I worked for told me about the tree climber he learned from. Was spurred up a tree a little over 20 feet off the ground and doing a task just like in this video. What he didn't realize was that his rope had got hung up on a bump on the opposite side of the stem, so when he was cutting through the wood he also cut through his rope. Fell back and straight down landing square on his back. Ended up making a full recovery.
