Thanks for the review , you did a good job .
Thanks for the comment!
Nice review!
Thanks for the review, it was entertaining.
I would have liked to see some more details from the review. "Tektro disc brakes" hydraulic or mechanical? "Shimano shift system" Tourney or Altus? Can we discuss safety features, like brake motor cutoff, how bright the front light is, does the rear light connect directly to the battery and does it flash when you brake to alert oncoming cars? Did you feel any need to mention the unique spoke design?
Most of these e-bikes from Chinese manufacturers are very similar and the devil will be in the details. I appreciated the details where you mentioned how the grips/motor power/fenders differ from similar bikes. Can we get some more of that?
Anyway, just some food for thought, in general I like your reviews and watch a lot of them. Thanks and have a good one.
Hey man, I really appreciate the feedback, I always wonder how my reviews come off. You make some good points and will add to future reviews. Thanks
Looks really nice, I’m torn between this bike and the samebike xwxlo9 fat tyre, any advice on which to go for please?
Oh. I have this bike and its amazing. If you want a good electric bike, this is for you. Only have a problem, weight.
We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. czcams.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!
Great review, I'm getting one.
Thanks! Enjoy!
I thought maybe there would be a download somewhere on the display functions
You should have done the hill climb at the highest power level 5
I have one and it’s a breeze
how do you get to only throttle mode ? great video , helped with my decision ..
Thanks for watching! Man it's been so long since I reviewed this, I'm not sure anymore. Their website should have that info
mine reaches speed of 30 to 35 mph depending on road wind. Does it says ep-2 pro on the bike? If not the case probably why it's not going faster than 28mph. Or a other factor is air in the tyre. Nice video
Yeah it's the pro, not sure how you're going that fast, but good on ya lol
@@ElectricRevolution Probably it's the supplier. I had another one which the supplier told me that it was the pro version but it wasn't written on the bike. I bought another one from another supplier and it's written on the body of the bike EP-2 pro. the one with the ep-2 pro on the body goes a bit faster than the EP-2.
@@Javier79ism
That's because you have a TRUE 750W motor in your bike. Alot of people are getting the OLD 500W ep2 pro without realising it. That's why they are only getting 25mph. Because that's ALL you are supposed to get on the flat from a 500w motor.
Your tyre air pressure is not going to change you from 25mph to 32 mph plus. There'll be a few miles difference at best. I did that experiment with my FIIDO M1 PRO. At 22 PSI I was getting a top speed of 24mph on the flat. At 30 PSI I was getting a top speed of 26mph on the flat.
The trade off is if you pump your tyres to 30 PSI. You are more likely to catch punctures on sharp objects. As there's less give in the tyre. Plus your ride will be less comfortable. I hold my PSI at 25. Which is the perfect balance of speed and comfort. And I haven't had a flat in over 7 months. With 237ml of slime in each tyre too of course.
How is the service? Do you get easily spare parts and what is in the guaranty included and is there one ?
They do have a US warehouse so I assume customer service would be ok and warranty is 1 yr
where do u live? It's beautiful. Great vid btw.
This was filmed up near Eden, UT. I was just visiting.
Nice bike! Looking good 👍 How tall you are? I'm 6'2" and not sure if this bike will fit me good...
I'm 5'11, you should feel fine on it
@@ElectricRevolution Thanks!
How tall do you have to be to ride it safely? The website says 5'10 minimum but the Engine Pro looks like it's the same size as the EP-2 Pro.
No, you don't have to be that tall, I'd say like 5'5 - 6'4
Can't find spare parts for this bike
Does the bike come with a a KMC branded chain and are the parts easily replaceable and repairable at my local bike shop
Not sure about the chain. The link over to Engwe is in the description, you may be able to find that out on their website. And yes, most parts can be replaced and fixed at a bike shop.
I have a question, I can't get above 20 mph due to the fact that whenever I pedal the resistance completely goes away by that point. Do you still have pedal resistance at higher speeds?
I didn't and you really can't pedal fast enough after around 15 mph to make any difference with most bikes
You dont buy an ebike to PEDAL. You only assist it on steep hills. Otherwise you basically are buying a MOPED that doesnt need a licence.
What you want to be buying is an M WAVE 18L cargo box. And a spare battery. Then you have peace of mind for 20 mile plus round trips. Battery A gets you there. Battery B brings you home. At top speeds. That's how it's done.
Put a new freewheel on. 11-28 7speed freewheel. That will solve the problem
I never got anything in my owner's manual showing the controller functions like yours.
That is weird, I'd email and ask them about it
I ordered this bike from the original site of the company or what the hell...it's been 1 week and no sign of receiving what I ordered
dude, if you are going to have a review channel for one product (bikes), you should have a 'standard test loop'. So your videos have meaning between different bikes...
I review bikes, boards and scooters and there's a bunch of guys that do that, I like to mix things up. Check out Electric Bike Report, may be more your style
@@ElectricRevolution sure, variety is nice. but you are building your channel. Your fan base will benefit from apples-to-apples comparisons. The 'test track' only needs to be a small part of each review. Pick a 15 mile loop, gather the data, then just spend 45 seconds in the video showing that data. The rest of the vid can be as unique as you like. But that 45 seconds will allow your viewers to compare every bike you review...
Do you think this bike can handle some mountain bike trails?
Green rated
There are other reviews on this bike that show the 750w motor is bad on hills. It's probably not a true 750watt.
It's not its peaking at 750w. I have a FIIDO M1 PRO. And it's better on hills than this. And it's rated at 500w 48v.
Hi its so difficult to find a proper answer for the IP Rating, since i live in a country where most of the year it rains, websites say: IP54, IP65, IPX4 but i asked the Engwe Support they say IPX2 ? which means you cant drive it in normal rain, if the battery stop working due to water damage you can't get warranty, hope you can help me here thank you.
I'd play it safe and not ride in heavy rain if you can help it, should be ok in light rain
@@ElectricRevolution alright thanks for answer, also your break's don't make noise at all? i find that odd.. mine are so loud i don't need to ring the bell when i go around corners. any fix to that?
How is this bike on hills ? How steep can it climb until you need to pedal ? Thank you
I did a hill test in the review. I think it handled around a 15% grade ok
@@ElectricRevolution thank you for replying, I went and bought including mods so fingers crossed
What’s the difference between the ep pro 2 and the engine pro
The engine pro has better quality parts. Like hydraulic brakes etc. More sturdy frame and rack etc.
is the only difference between this and the engine pro the regen ability?
I'm not sure, haven't looked into the pro, usually the difference is more power and better brakes and shifters if I had to guess
Does it work in the winter/on snow and ice?
It should do pretty good, has 4" all terrain tires and plenty of power
The max speed is 48 km
Which is aproximetly 25 mph...
I've read where it states the frame is aluminum alloy... does anyone know if this is a good thing?
Almost every bike is made from Al Alloy
I like it, looks BMX-ish, and I love BMX.
Hello
What is max range whid full battery
The range test I did in the review was when the battery was fully charged
Believe me you don't need to be going much faster than 25mph. Especially as most people don't suit up properly when going that fast. If you come off you could die once you go over 22mph.
25mph is plenty it really is.
En cuanto sale
We made a purchase with the company, the product was defective and was returned. The company had promised to refund the payment amount and refuses to carry out the refund based on untrue claims.
I do not recommend negotiating with such a company or even purchasing products from the Engwe brand as it has poor quality and many defects.
Wow that is just ridiculously heavy bike
Great review. I’m NOT getting one. Too heavy.
The weight is an advantage. Makes the bike stable when you are going 25mph PLUS. I love it.
@@fender1000100 i see you a lot in the comments different videos, maybe you know answer to my question, what IP rating the the bike? because i see different IP Ratings on websites, i live in a country where it rains a lot, and im concerned to drive it in the rain.
Recieved my bikes damaged in mail. Boxes looked like hell. Charger was damaged on the black one. Tryed to work with engwe and only willing to give 20 for damage to fenders, wheels, and derailer cages. Not willing to give a good discount and offered return but 25% stocking fee. Tryed to dispute on card and failed. Please don't buy from this company.
Put a 48 volt battery on the Ado A20f and its untouchable ive hit 32 mph on mine and it will happily cruise along at 26 mph on the flat. Also its cheaper than this bike.
How many miles does the battery last?
Mine goes op to 30 mph
How much do you weigh? That's the factor here. Someone weighing 140lbs or less will go faster than someone weighing 210lbs or more. That's a given. I get about 27mph out of mine. At a bodyweight of 192lbs.
@@fender1000100 change the freewheel And you’ll get a faster speed
@@jbeataman
Are you kidding 28mph is plenty fast on an ebike I'm even wearing a full helmet and armoured clothing on my EP-2 now. Crashing at 28mph can kill you trust me. I have seen it.
The only thing I've upgraded on the Engwe is the tyres for speedster honeycombs. This immediately adds alot less rolling resistance. And that increased my range by over 3 miles on a charge. And improves acceleration and top end speed. Without compromising grip. With the superior tread pattern of the honeycombs.
@@fender1000100 I’m with ya brother. I upgraded to the same tires. Love em.
@@jbeataman
Yea they are fantastic. Expensive but worth it. Even pedalling without the motor is easier.
I bought this bike about a year age and first it arrived damaged and got no help. Took the bike out yesterday and the battery dies on my after about 20 mins. of riding and found out the charger was dead. In my option this company has very poor customer service and I would never buy again.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👏
THIS MODEL DOES NOT come 95% assembled!!!! I am assembling front wheel, handlebar & stem, rear rack which does not fit easily, and both fenders. +1 The SEAT comes attached, lol, the easiest thing to do out of box!
Not worth it… support is terrible - takes days to get a reply and weeks for any parts to be sent. You end up paying for service at a bike shop and waiting weeks for replacement parts. So much better off getting Lectric or Rad Power Bikes - they have awesome service. (Owner of both)
all these are lies .. these heavily paid reviews .. this bike is shit
