My recommendation is to order the version that includes a second battery! It is well worth the $50 extra! It is called the EP-2 Pro (Battery Pack) on the website.

A beautiful path, thanks for sharing.
I just received my mirrors today. Thank-you Russ and thank-you Magicycle, they are awesome!
Glad you like them! Ride safe!
A wise e bike reviewer once said: "If you use only PAS 1 on your e bike, you should have never bought an e bike to begin with"
Good point. I use 1&2 a lot but have many hills in my area so I use 3&4 quite a bit too and lower my gears.
These trips, with the easier movement of folding bikes and much more interesting senses, sure beats the cruising around neighborhoods! You’ve spoiled us! Love cruising the big lake and river sights!
Well only solution is for Magicycle to build a folding cruiser pro.
Hi Russ. I like when you tell us you see another ebike. I like knowing that. Glad you got 42 miles out of the bikes. Beautiful location. It is really warm here today, 90°. Think I will see how tomorrow looks.
I needed two batteries to get that 42 miles. My wife was still on the one battery and had 3 out of the 5 bars left on her battery meter! It pays to pedal and weigh less! :)
My friend this bike seems to be working you good.
Well, it's the first folding bike for me. My wife has had her folding bike for a while now. And, there's still the Magicycle Jaguarundi folding bike coming soon!
That's why I have my bell snugged up against the shifter... I can hit it with my right thumb and don't risk hitting a PAS button. I have the external light mounted next to my PAS control pad.
I believe you can cancel the cruise control by doing a little flick of the throttle also (push and quickly release). I doubt you are applying much brake doing what you are doing, but at least on mine, that also cancels it, and it’s a little easier. You can add 7 or 9 PAS steps if you want also, give you finer control.
Just before you said it in your video I was thinking you needed to raise pedal assist 3 instead of lowering pedal assist 4. For me, with a 28mph e-bike, my pedal assist level 4(of 5) would be set to the low 20's.
I came up with a new game, every time you hit the bell, I take a shot of Patron. Today I got tipsy big time.
That bell seems so much louder on the GoPro than in person or when I use the other digital audio recorder.
I just got a new long range battery from Lectric ,it's 14 ah. The old one is 9.6 . You've just showed me what a pain it will be to change it out. Still though, I like having the extra battery, as opposed to using them both up simotaniously
Let me know how the range is on the old and new battery if you get a chance!
This is why I prefer to have the battery positioned outside the frame, like behind the seat post. Just slides in and out.
It's so exciting Mrs Russ is riding. I wish we could meet her. How does she like riding.?
She likes it. Goes 20+ mph now on the streets! By the way, she has been affectionately nicknamed, "Mrs. Right" by the subscribers here! Hahahaha!
How do you have the bike on with the keys hanging from the bike? I thought you need the key inside to ride the bike.
Most of my bikes do not need the key to start the bike. Those that don’t use the key for battery removal only.
That's what I like about my Fabulous ebike the battery is just behind my seat post easy swap of batteries. D0 you kill your battery's completely ? I was told to never get below the 42 voltage.
Don't know.
@@RussIsRight Doesn't matter, you didn't buy them.
Nice multi-use trails. The riding infrastructure for recreational riding is very well developed in your area. Very impressive. I dunno, given the amount of miles you ride on your Engwe, might be prudent to think about a more comfortable cut-out saddle for these longer rides you are doing with your wife. Too bad about FedEx. Hopefully FedEx apologized or at least offered some kind of “reimbursement”. Maybe down the line as you get more bike offers, you can try reviewing a lighter ebike in the 55 pound or even lighter range. The lighter bikes tend to be a little more maneuverable and ride more like traditional bikes. Anyway, really enjoy your rides, inspires so many of us fellow retirees to get out more.
Thanks. More bikes coming in this week bin fact. One is around 56 lbs. I also have 5 Bikeroo saddles arriving today too.
Another great ride Russ. I like my Rad Rover 5 with the big tires. The Engwe with the smaller tires looks jittery to me and less stable than the Rover. Do you find that?
Yes. But it also means I can travel at slower speeds too. It has a lower center of gravity and so I can balance better at slower speeds.
@@RussIsRight Good points Russ although I do like the stability of the Rover with the bigger tires. Cheers.
Morning Russ. Nice ride as usual. My wife come back to my office and said "where is that bell ringing at"? Now I have a request. On a rain day when you can't get out, can you make a video discussing your Gopro settings and what, if any, software editing you do. I would appreciate it. I will dance at your wedding. If you can't that's ok. I just think your video quality is excellent! Thanks Richard "Rip1Outdoors"

Can you not ride this bike in the rain ☔️? WTF?
Is this bike not waterproof?😢
Hi Russ, beautiful ride today. I know you mostly go on bike paths in your area, but do you ever use your bike to commute? Such as getting groceries or getting a bite to eat. I do it all the time and it's very nice not having to deal with parking. I'm quite far out of your average age demographic at 17 but I find your channel really interesting, thanks for the great content!
Yes, my wife and I often go grocery shopping on our ebikes on Saturdays. We ride together, she goes in and shops, I hang out outside and watch the bikes. :). Thanks for watching!
@@RussIsRight Great combo with the two of you! Wouldn’t trust leaving the bike, all alone! Probably be gone!
@@joeroscillo4015 no lock can stop a determined thief!
Do you worry about your bike getting stolen while you are inside?
@@pattyedzards8587 I stay outside to watch the bikes while my wife goes inside to shop. I never leave our bikes. The only time I've locked my bike up was to pick up Chinese food at the Chinese Carry Out restaurant, but I lock the front tire to the frame. The Rad Rover 5 is so heavy (over 110 lbs with everything on it) that you can't just pick it up and run away with it. Plus I watch the bike through the glass door and often that door is open. I also have an alarm on the bike, so if someone touches it, I'd know it.
Hey Russ,
Do your hands get numb while you're riding?
Sometimes my right hand does because of using then throttle too long.
Yesterday I saw a guy riding a small motorbike on the bike lane to avoid a traffic jam. Never ever seen that before.
Probably should not be doing that.
If they were able to lane split, they might choose to do that instead. Makes sense to me that they should be able to in bumper to bumper traffic. If they can be moving and not cost the cars anything, seems better for everybody. Gets them off the road faster and no longer contributing to the jam.
@@Nemonurwingy Around here, motorcyclists do ride between lanes so they can avoid traffic jams, but riding in a bike lane has got to be illegal. Next thing you know, cars will be using it too.
@@pedrofernandez8729 just on a Google search it appeared to be illegal to lane split in Florida. The ones who do it seem to be committing a crime, so maybe they figure in for a penny, in for a pound as far as driving in the bike lane. They are getting a ticket if caught either way, and in the bike lane they are the big fish.
@@Nemonurwingy This is why whenever I see a motorcyclist do a split lane, they look around for cops. As a cyclist, I don't appreciate motorcycles using the bike lane.
When are you going to worsh your Bike?
The bike was worshed but got dirty again!
How many miles have u dome on this bike so far and have you encountered any problems?
Over 200 miles on it now. No real issues other than the squealing brakes so far.
@@RussIsRight nice, did you up the amps from default 18 to 25 or higher than default?
@@Anees- No, I left it as it was stock. I want more range and up'ing the amps will cut into the range.
@@RussIsRightbut Amps is current flow, if it’s 48V and you change it the ohms resistance will stay the same no ?
Maybe next time drive to a different starting point.
Opening music to loud
Actually, it's more like the GoPro main audio was too soft! :)
