When I was a boy the preacher in the Church of God was preaching on the 2nd coming and said that it would not happen until Israel was restored and the Christ Church was restored. I was nine years old in 1948, I heard on my short wave radio when the United Nations took a vote and "restored the nation of Israel." I heard a miracle happen for I did not know how Israel could ever be restored. I, as others, were told that the so called "Mormons" were not Christian. I am a former Baptist minister, while studying the Book of Mormon, my wife and I received a testimony that the Book of Mormon is true and that Jesus Christ has restored His Church. God has given a promise in the Book of Mormon - Moroni 10:4. that after reading the Book of Mormon and asking God if it is true, the Holy Spirit will make it known to you. To know if something is true takes action, you have to test it, just like tithing. I did and I have been satisfied for 50 years.
I know that Jesus Christ has restored His Church to the earth and it is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

You are a direct answer to a prayer. I cried out to the Lord this evening to please help me better prepare for conference and hear/hearken to the words of the Lord. I feel like I've tried to study and prepare as much as I could - reading/studying scriptures & verses & words, listening to conference talks, primary songs/hymns etc. but was still feeling like I'm still falling short. I specifically asked Heavenly Father to help bless my meager efforts and expand my knowledge with what little time I have left to prepare prior to conference. I ended my prayer, looked at the Church site, listened to a few songs - not even LDS ones, and then "stumbled" on your presentation. My mind and spirit leapt with the things I've learned tonight from God through you. The connection I have felt to the Old Testament (that I never truly liked or appreciated before) and between it and the Book of Mormon is a witness to me of God's big plan. I am a gospel toddler even though I've been a member since childhood. Your point about art and stepping back to see the big picture was one of the very things I needed to hear/feel/do tonight. Most of all, I felt His spirit testify to me through your testimony. Thank you and God bless!

Found this on the Church Newsroom site from about a month ago regarding the upcoming conference: Of the conference, the First Presidency said, “We will focus on Him by elevating our use of the name He revealed for His restored Church. We will recognize major events of the ongoing Restoration to celebrate our history and future. We will become even more “converted unto the Lord” and invite all to come and find enduring joy on His covenant path.”

Our little Stake institute class took three an a half years to cover the Old Testament. It was wonderful. But so was your overview! It's hard to put all those pieces together and hold them at one time in your mind as one picture. I really appreciate how you emphasized the great opportunity we have to hear the words of the world's prophet today in conference and participate in the restoration and gathering of Israel. Hurrah for Zion!

After my scripture studies every day I listen to the conference talks during the day. How wonderful it is to me to re-read or listen to the words, covenants, and warnings. Bringing to my remembrance what I was dealing with at the time I heard it the first time. The teachings are so relevant today even more so than the first. When I see their faces their eyes filled with the Spirit of Our God and Savior their words are forever because they are truth. I pray someday I will be blessed to meet them and continue my learning. To say Thank you to you and Taylor is not enough my heart has changed because of your sharing your time talents and knowledge. D&C 88:118

I don't know if I've ever heard of the HIS-story and the HER-story idea. That makes total sense, and love how you said it.
I actually loved this ‘HERstory’ idea... we have Adam’s perspective, and so many great men’s perspective. One day we will hear the women’s perspectives. My thoughts and feelings are that by keeping women out of the limelight, Heavenly Father was protecting them from the ridicule and persecution that so many of their male counterparts had to endure. I feel sad when I hear women in the Gospel feeling excluded somewhat. Instead I feel Heavenly Father’s loving and protective arms around us - I’d even say ‘over’ protective arms in the sense that He will do whatever it takes to keep His daughters as far as He can from the attention of the adversary. Just my take 💖
Hearing this and seeing the words written Herstory brought me to tears as I thought about hearing and knowing their perspective in the future. I loved how Tyler brought me to this understanding.

On a Wednesday I was listening to and pondering both lessons, Come Follow Me (Insights into 3 Nephi 8-11) Part 1 & Part 2. The spirit felt through these talks was so powerful that when my study time was over, I thought it was the Sabbath, as my Sabbaths usually are more filled with the spirit by keeping my focus on the Lord. Being the Sabbath I thought, I cannot run the errands I needed to run. Soon I realized it was the middle of the week, not the Sabbath.
This brought a powerful lesson to me, an insight. This is how my daily scripture studies can fill me with the spirit, powerfully. Being filled with the spirit is not limited to Sunday worship. Thank you for helping me stay close to the Savior through these challenging times.
My eyes were damaged in an accident so it is not as easy to read and my eyes miss words. This challenge has also limited how much I can read the scriptures. Even as I type this, the spirit whispers to me that Heavenly Father can help my eyes become stronger and able to read more scriptures if I ask for his help.
Thank you for all who put forth effort, resources, time and sacrifice to deliver these lessons to so many hungering for more knowledge and experiences with the Holy Ghost. Thank you for helping me draw closer to the Lord. I am guessing many might feel the same.

Thank you for this class. It is very refreshing because these classes are not given any more. I took three Institute of religion courses in 1991 before I went on my mission and this brought back all of what I learned at that time. Back then, we were given the same class on all the dispensations. The difference now is that I’m totally blind when back then I was able to see. Thanks again and keep up the great work…

WOW! I learned so MUCH from this lesson! Thank you for taking the time to explain all of the tribes, the handmaidens and which children they bore, the fact that Levi is not considered with the tribes because their mission is different, the separation of Israelites-10 tribes go north; 2 tribes go south (Judah). None of this I knew until now.. And many many more things. AND you made it so much fun with the humor you inserted! THANK YOU!! Your lessons keep getting better and better!! @@nicolemancuso9685 Thanks for asking! We probably won't do a video on the topic. We try to avoid predicting the end times for several reasons (1) we all already know we live in the last days, (2) no one knows when Jesus will return (and anyone telling you otherwise doesn't know what they are talking about), (3) we will all experience our own last day when we die and return to God, (4) our own last day matters more for our salvation than the date of when Jesus will return. Hope that explanation helps!
