Please say thank you to the whole team who puts these videos together. These videos have become life changing to me every week as I am drawn closer to our Savior through the scriptures and these lessons. I know of a homebound sister that draws strength from these teachings of Jesus Christ. Thank you to Taylor, Tyler, Zander, and everyone else involved and thank you to John Welch for having started this organization.

Thanks again Taylor and Tyler for such a wonderful lesson. Really inspired us.
NB when our Chapel was newly built in 1963, the local registrar was filling in the certificate to register the
building as a place of worship. In the line noting...”Name of Church”...he wrote in fountain pen “Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints”. Our District President (we were not a Stake then) said to him, “that’s not correct, you left out the “THE”. Mr Besley, the registrar said, “if I write in the word THE, the definitive article, it means, you are THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS”. The President said, “that’s correct”. You can still see the certificate hanging in our foyer today, 57 years later, with the THE, written in the margin!!

@@taylorhalverson3052 Just to clarify, the chapel was in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, the birthplace of Pres. David O McKay’s Mother. Pres. McKay dedicated the site in August 1963. I was there, I was 13 years old. I can testify he truly was a Prophet of God. His countenance shone. What a day!!
In the 19th Century, the Prophet Joseph Smith sent Dan Jones to Wales. The missionary work he did in Merthyr Tydfil was amazing. By mid century there were 5500 members in Merthyr. Many of course, heeded the call to build Zion Utah. God bless from Wales.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

This lesson had an immense impact on me - 4th Nephi humbled me - while I strive to live the Gospel - I was getting so hung up with the politics lately - I had to stop watching the news - but I still had my Biden bumper sticker on and 2 Biden/Harris signs on my lawn - Just hearing the name of Trump sent me into an emotional spin - However, 4th Nephi has touched my heart so much!!!! I'm removing the bumper sticker and signs today - and will pray for all of the leaders - I will do all I can for Zion - let the world be what the world is - but for me and my house - we will work for Zion - Thanks so much for these - they do have a strong impact on those that listen -

    @karenshipley2299 Před 3 lety +2

Thank you for this lesson! I learn so much, as I prepare myself to go and do my reading on my own. This lesson helped me understand the church vs Christ's gospel. We are an imperfect people and things aren't going to be perfect, even in His church. Those people that point out all the faults of our church and then point their fingers and say that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is then false, just don't understand this concept. We are an imperfect people and do error, but Christ's gospel is perfect. The church can change policy, but Christ's gospel will never change!
I also loved being reminded about our loved ones that have strayed off course, not to try or attempt to judge them, because we don't know and understand all things, especially what's inside each individual and how the Lord will judge them. This actually brings me peace, because I always fear the worst, that they are lost forever, and this may not be the case at all.
My favorite comment in this lesson- "A God who holds worlds without number in His hand, actually holds you in his heart!" I needed to be reminded that Christ is the good Shepard and loves me and wants to help me. There is hope!
Lastly, to realize that the church & His gospel has an overall objective, which is to become "even as I am". Everything I do with my life, all of my efforts to learn about Christ, with the church at my side to help me as I try to hearken unto His gospel; this together helps me to become more like my Savior, with each day that passes and I hope that I'm getting closer to His overall message of the gospel- To become as Christ is. I know I can't do this all on my own and will need to be purified by my Savior through His gospel. Love all that your doing to teach me, I'm forever grateful!

Thank you for this insight to a deeper meaning to The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints. The idea of His having us be a "co-owner" of His Church is another testimony of is ultimate and unconditional love and desire for all His children to return home. I am also thinking of his commandment in 3 Ne 12:38 to be perfect even as He... I know that things which I own are precious to me, so I become responsible for them and I do all I can to protect and nurture it to flourish and be successful. Likewise, with the idea of this perfect being including me as "co-owner" of His Church, I feel responsible and it gives me even more incentive to raise the bar in my strive for perfection by taking care of His church and doing all I can to build and protect what is precious to me.

I so appreciate all that you teach & inspire me regarding the gospel. One thing struck me most of all in this lesson; currently I’m in a marriage filled with contention at this time. Tyler’s comment about becoming a Zion people and the steps we need to take can be taken by just ourself if necessary. That comment brings such hope into my heart that by trying to do that which can bring my heart into a Zion state can bring peace and hopefully an end of contention in my relationship with my spouse. Thank you again for all you do, it is truly helping me to change to be even as He is.

Another amazingly inspiring video...It occurred to me when Tyler was talking about the name of the church that even in the way Tyler has it written, Jesus is at the center. It came to me so clearly that the name of the church shows the covenant he has with us. It is of Him and also of us by covenant. I understand that the latter-day reminds us we are in the last dispensation so there is some urgency implied. I also see that saint means we are striving (actively and daily) to be like Him. This was the second time I watched the video because I was ahead in my Come Follow Me curriculum and thought I would go back and try to dig deeper. I am finally starting to see that I haven’t even started to scratch the surface. Thank you for the help and motivation.

Thank you for loving all of us. It is obvious that that love is genuine. Isn't the word love interesting from an anagramical perspective. From the word love, anagramically we get evol, and using two more letters from the same word, evolve or "progression." When do we make the most progression or evolve toward the nature of God? It is always in an environment of "LOVE." I wouldn't be surprised if Taylor found some ancient connection with the word love and evolve. :) Taylor and Tyler, thank you for all these powerful lessons. Each one is a defining moment and turn event in my progression to become more like the Savior.

Thank you guys, I said before that this time that you take to help us in scripture study is so wonderful. It truly is and makes it so much easier to understand. We have adult children that do not live the gospel, we are holding on with hope and faith that one day they will realize how important the gospel is. It's funny my husband asks now, "Are you going to put Tyler & Taylor on for us to watch?" Some of the lessons we have watched more than once. Thank you both so much.

I still don't understand why I need to attend church. I'm single, childless, and there's no reason for me to be there only to be reminded of blessings I don't have and be marginalized by the culture. I guess it's an opportunity for me to practice for my eternal job of being a ministering angel, assuming I make it in the first place. I love studying the scriptures and listening to hymns. I feel the spirit at home, I don't feel the spirit at church. This break has been a huge blessing.

sending you love and positive energy sister. see my utube video link next to my comment in this section. I have been where you are at. IN spirit I can say I really love you sister as a child and daughter of god....The secret is the lords grace. Its not about us and our rightouness but about entering into christ rightousness and then the enabling power of the holyghost gives us strength to live obedience without strain, without negitive fear of god, without sin conciousness (always worried we are going to sin) is old law fears.christs Grace gives us the power to over come everything that is not christ like... Living up to laws relegiously without grace first then good works follow by faith, we are nothing but dead mens bones the bible says. In fact jesus said he hated relegion... I love the gospel of grace and exaltation a two fold gospel as ONE, and grateful for the restored gospel, for the biblical prophecies of the stick of judah (the bible) and the stick of joseph (the book or mormon and lost sheep would join and become one fold and one shepperd, see exzekial 37 verses 15 to 19 (the two sticks become one gospel) john 10.16 other sheep lost, Isaiah 29 lost book to come forth in latter day.........Give all the glory to god and respect to joseph smith but dont glorify any man, any prophet, any saint, just respect them in jesus name amen.

However, there may be others who need your light and spirit, your unique personality, insights, and talents that are missing out when you're not there. They need you! Maybe it's a child who will listen to your guidance a little better than they hear what their parents say, or a friend who needs to be reminded that at any given time 2/3 of the women of the church are single, simply by your presence, so she/he can serve better with an open mind. In all humility, I invite you to pray and ask God if He wants you there. Ask what He would have you do, or who He would have you help in His Church.

I was finally excited for D&C because I would be learning so much more with Tyler and Taylor!! Now what?! I've never read D&C all the way through cover to cover. I just don't feel the saviors love from it like I do from the Book of Mormon. Mentally I know that's wrong, because Christ was teaching, leading, guiding Joseph Smith and the church leaders that this book was written about. But emotionally I don't feel it. I lose interest and go back to other scripture.

Just a thought on the scripture 'no unhallowed hand can stop this work from progressing...' l am reminded of Moses 1:39 that l am also His Work, and so there will be times He abstain His Hands from removing the thorns and thickets in my path to allow me to struggle that l may continue to grow and maintain progression along the covenant path.
I am also impressed that In the course of the journey my pain is His pain but because He loves me and know that l love Him and of my unshakable desire to be with Him, he does not intervene for to do so may halt my progression. Rather as the infant striving to take his first steps but keeps falling, and in tears and frustration stays down raising up his arms to be picked up and carried but the wise parent knowing otherwise will often resist for to always concede is to delay the child's growth, development and limit his strength.
Likewise is our spiritual development; we do not know how much time we have left on earth to achieve those essential milestones that The Father knows we will need for the next leg of our eternal journey. He does not want us to fail but to be the best He knows we can be and in holding back actually help us at least attain our individual pre-designated level of growth in the time we have on earth.
Knowing this and that after all The Saviour has already done (3N 27:13-15), He continues to supplement my efforts (3N 27:16-21), brings new strength and energy and a deeper appreciation of their love and commitment to me. If l had 10,000 tongues l can never express enough my love and gratitude for having them in my life.
