That game was probably one of the worst experiences I’ve had, I never thought I’d see someone leave the arena at half time of a game 7 but multiple people in my row at the stadium left before the half time buzzer even came it was brutal

Same here. As a Suns fan, I got prepared, got my food and drinks ready, everything but to witness they collapse like that by 2nd quarter? was demoralizing to me. Like getting shotgun blast to the chest. And on a Game 7???
Y’all got what y’all deserved after booing Jose Alvarado in rd 1. Also a series that would’ve gone 7, had the nba not officiated the 2nd half of game 6 so flagrantly bad.

Oh... that game 6 in Miami... the moment when Terry shot a long 3 in Lebrons face and everybody knew at that exact moment the game was over and the Mavs won the championship... nothing can compare to that feeling.
I hope younger fans like you get the chance to experience a feeling like that very soon. Cause it ment so much more then this game 7...
@@Smido83 spot on. Now that I’m older I appreciate it even more. As a 17 year old kid watching us hoist that trophy was just incredible. Hopefully the younger generation and ours get that at least another time or two in this life.

@@henryjlambert Nope, Book is just a pure shooting guard. Suns fans thinks he's top tier because Phoenix's front office has been trash for a long time and he's the only one who stuck around. He is definitely not a super-star because he simply doesn't show up when it matters. We've seen him ghost a hand full of times now. Suns are never winning a chip unless he elevates his game.

I remember watching the warm up on TV and telling my friends, the Suns' players are so stiff, they seem worried, even scared, specially CP. Obviously I never imagined what would happen next. But now, knowing how relax the Mavs players were, all makes sense.
CP was also extremely off bc he was injured..

Thought Jalen’s demeanour was exceptional .. after being blocked by Booker on the driving layup on the left side .. and Booker stared him down .. talking trash at him .. and Jalen didn’t bother to look at Book nor talking back .. but simply concentrated on what he had to do in the next play or next game .. arrogant Book deserved the ever infamous picture of Luka stared at him while the score board was showing Mavs up by 30 right before half time on game 7
As a neutral fan on the situation, I loved seeing the suns get absolutely blasted. They were hyping themselves up all year after just making the finals, not even winning it. Yes they had great regular season success but for the same reason Book isn’t a superstar, legacies are made in the playoffs.
You are just basing it off on one series, the Suns did got lucky making it to the finals last year but one series against the Dallas doesn't define their career. I think Devin Booker needed this so he will take it seriously next time and I think he's a good player but this loss will either destroy him or make him even better.

If they fall short in the finals yet again I don’t think booker will endure another year there, that’s why the KD trade would be good for them, it would give booker one more reason to stay there but with that out of the window and no really FA with interest in Phoenix, I think this will be bookers last season with the suns if they do fall short of a championship.

as a suns fan for 30 years you can almost tell when they are going to have a game like this. second play of the game I turned to one of my buddies and said they are done. The mavs proceeded to dog them. Turned a suns playoff game off at half time. First time I've ever done that. That will sting for a long time.

im not surprised by how calm the mavs were. when they took the suns to game 6 id say theyve already done pretty well for themselves by that time. they were not expected to win. they were simply playin with house money from that point on. if they lose, oh well loads of time to load up and do better next year, theres no rush. if they win, well thats even more house money theyve won. so their calmness really wasnt surprising at all there.

Yeah that's definitely a pretty big mental part of sports, like being the defending champ as a boxer can be difficult when you're going up against a sort of random wildcard who challenged you who has absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain. The Ruiz Joshua fight is an example of that and it was just as sweet and hilarious as when the mavs did it

@@andrealyass8018 I think Brunson will look better (put up significantly better stats) as the primary handler but I think his best role is as a secondary guy like when he was next to Luka. Brunson was great when Luka was out and he's best on ball even though he can play off ball
@@BlueHundred1 His stats will increase for sure but he wasn't anything special when he played without Luka on the Mavs but will they make the playoffs or even win a good amount of games with Brunson as their primary option? Ig we gonna find out but I think he had a real good thing being next to Luka all they needed was a few good defenders and I bet they could have been to the finals.
Diehard MFFL here and I will never not love or root for JB, but he is not a $30M/yr player. That doesn't make him a scrub, he's a great player. But if you're shelling out $30M/yr, dude's gotta be a bit better than just "a great player".

Based on Jalen words, there is more to what happen to the Suns then the Mavs betting them.
Jason Kidd had them ready but also with the Suns being top team all season and favorites to win it all, the Mavs had absolutely no pressure and the Sun couldn't rise

I think Booker and CP3 literally gave all the energy the mavs needed to win. They teased the hornet's nest and got exactly what they deserved. You could tell that Luka wasn't the only one hungry for those buckets and it probably played a major role in why the mavs did so well as a team. They motivated the whole team by mocking Luka, and the whole team was pissed. 😂

A lot of Phoenix looking awful after Game 5 was that Chris Paul SUCKED.
Chris Paul has been on the losing side of 3 of the biggest blowouts in NBA history: 58 point loss to Carmelo's Nuggets in '09, 41 point loss to the Warriors in '18, and the game 7 beatdown by Dallas this year. CP3 should reunite with Doc Rivers so they can have one last chokefest and fade into the distance.

Doncic is my fav player, but the Suns are the closest to my fav team. Cause of Steve Nash. That game was such a mixed bag for me. I loved seeing Doncic win, but to see the Suns get absolutely slapped was tough. Lol.
As a person an all honesty I felt luka is too good and the best player on that court. I had Mavs in 7 but I needed them guys to hit their shots that’s all that was needed was guys to hit shots.
