Good review, just bought a 229 in 357sig, can't wait to shoot it. New subscriber 👍

you don't have to replace the spring to shoot 357 sig out of the 40 model. just the barrel.

I just got one today it's a newer one with the slide cut and rail, It came with a Romeo red dot which I plan on swapping out for a green. Got it home and realized I had a Foxtrot light I was going to put on my P320, it's now my first one with a light and dot never had one before with both.

Great video man. Your channel is seriously criminally underrated. I’ve been wanting to get an M11-A1 and a Silencerco Omega 9K just for fun. Thanks for the content.

The 229 and 226 have been duty guns for Naval Special Warfare and is preferred in that community.

I bought a p229 pro about a year ago and I love it. The 229 pro has a optic ready milled/lightened slide and different grips that make it look really good in my opinion. I really like the trigger in single action and the double action is pretty good too. I put a sig red dot on it that co witnesses with the iron sights and it's become one of my favorite pistols to shoot. I don't have any real complaints other than it's a little heavy for a ccw but it's too pretty to beat up carrying it everyday.

Just traded a cz75 for a legacy 229R in .357 sig, with e2 grip upgrade and sig lite night sights that I swapped for x ray 3's right away. Luckily, I can hit the decocker without breaking grip. I find the gun completely ergonomic. Just a tad heavy, but that helps mitigate the recoil. Will be picking up a 9mm slide soon.

I picked up a similar p229 because I liked the look of the half legacy slide. That being said it sucks to pull the slide back because it’s so small. But man it looks good. 😂

In seals teams they teach thumb over knuckle.

Why are almost all the reviewers scared to shoot the first shot double action as designed?

Not sure. Popular opinion is against double action triggers but I don’t get why. It takes more training but isn’t impossible
