You got a lot of thing right but unfortunately, you missed the major part at the beginning.
The song was released on 9/11 and now watch the video again!
Do you see the 2 towers burning as he starts to sing, the man in the room as the fire starts with an explosion, the people running up and down the stairways, the guy coming out of the dust, ...?
If you love David's voice you need to check out device they did a cover with lizzy hale, close my eyes forever.
can you please please do keystone clan live by read southall band it’ll mean the world to me
I agree. I love her
You should listen to “reason to fight” and “hold on to the memories” by disturbed
Not being a huge fan of heavy metal, I never realized how incredibly talented these musicians are, until they released their cover of Sound of Silence. When I hear him now, even in the heaviest of metal style, I can say with confidence that David has the most magically versatile voice I have ever experienced.
I love how later in his career he has embraced the storytelling with his voice. I literally feel each song on his later albums. When I was younger, his angst and energy had me going, but his growth is amazing.
I love how Elizabeth's eyes light up and she just delights in it when she hears something cool that she likes.
I read a comment on another video that she makes facial expressions like A Disney princess... and she does!
@@gr8fultom I can't unsee that now lol
she has kept that " child's amusement" that most of us lose when we get older. fantastic!
I completely agree. It reminds me of watching a chef taste something. You can just see that she's gathering all the information about the seasoning, sorting out what ingredients were used and how it was all cooked.
Her sincere love of music is what draws me back to her reaction videos.
That transition from Sting-like smoothness into deep, growling lyrics is SO Disturbed in a nutshell. They're essentially conditioning an audience to favorably juxtapose their normal musical style with these covers and I freaking love it. Her reaction to the first smashing hard transition is great.
And I didn't care for this cover after Sound of Silence. Sting was pretty sacrosanct to me before. But her commentary made me reconsider, and I have a new appreciation for it.
She mentioned "Firefly." Oh, my heart.
Browncoats Unite!!!
Hell yeah! Awesome🥰
Shiny
Definitel need a reaction vid to "You can't take the sky.." or whatever the official title is also The man they call Jaynne.
Gorramit, I knew I liked her for a reason! 🤣
Since we are doing Disturbed covers and Elizabeth is becoming more and more of a metalhead, I hope we eventually will see a reaction to Disturbed - Land of Confusion. Not entirely sure how I started down this rabbit hole of watching music reaction videos, but the reactions on this channel are one of, if not the best.
I second that Genesis cover suggestion!!
@@michaellorettahaines1898 I also recommend this (and have before). Maybe react to the Genesis version first, too?
Definitely need a reaction to Land of Confusion by Disturbed, absolutely brilliant cover!!
"Not entirely sure how I started down this rabbit hole of watching music reaction videos"
neither am I, but I think I enjoy watching someone step outside of their norm and learn to appreciate (and enjoy) something new.
Another vote for Disturbed - Land of Confusion!!!
“Hold on to Memories” and “A Reason to Fight”
Two very powerful songs!
add "the light" to that list.
Very powerful songs
Thanks for suggesting a listen to A Reason to Fight! Now I'm wiping tears while I do the dishes.👍
I’m saddened and at the same time happy that people are now seeing what Disturbed/David can do to show a songs meaning. It’s brilliant.
I would personally say that "hold on to memories" is one of, if not the most impacted and striking songs that Disturbed has ever performed and she needs to review it.
The video for that song made me break down the first time I heard it.
That song is so meaningful. It was one of the songs I kept on listening to after losing a loved one years ago. I shared it with certain family members and it made them all cry but they loved it.
I agree.
Bring your tissues!
That and "A Reason to Fight". Both helped me through such a hard batch of years. Both those sons she has got to hear eventually!
Disturbed's cover of "Land of Confusion" is also really good. It also does the same thing as this one does, updating and putting a new spin on the original. For Disturbed original songs, I would recommend "Stricken," "The Light", or "Inside the Fire."
Perfect Insanity and Ten Thousand Fists should also be up there.
I’m also a fan of The Night I believe it’s name is as well.
@@steffanhymer1285 The Night for sure is may favorite. Love the solo by Dan too
I keep forgetting that 'Land Of Confusion' was a cover. Also, 'Inside The Fire' should have a TW
Another vote for The Light
In his younger years, Draiman was classically trained as a cantor, who is someone that sings liturgical music and leads prayer in a synagogue. ... So taking his classical vocal training and mixing it with his aggressive rock style of singing, Draiman's voice truly is one of a kind.
Definitely is one of a kind. He has such heaviness and texture in his voice. His GERD or something like it likely also influenced the development of his peculiar voice.
@Adolph Hitler Good lord what are you doing here?
wow never heard he was a classically trained cantor b4
He was also constantly in trouble as a child and music allowed him to express and “release” all his pent up anger and frustration.
He truly is The Jazz Singer! If you don't know what I'm referring to look it up oh, you'll find it kind of an interesting parallel to David Draiman. He is actually qualified to remake the movie.
I think a tea-time interview with David would be freaking amazing
Yes. An interview with David would be icing on the cake.
David Draiman is a remarkable human being regardless of his incredible talents. He has been through a lot and is still standing tall.
"A reason to fight - Live video". Its extremely powerful. Very tough to watch for sure, but the message is amazing.
Please, this one!
You all just want to see her cry that's mean
:)
Yes, this and Hold on to Memories too.
Uninvited guest too.
I agree 100% I would love for her to watch this one!!
David is a vocal master. I feel like he is sending constant messages during current times.
More of Disturbed please Elizabeth! David Draiman...a voice to die for! A powerful yet soulful voice that can go from warm baritone to angelic tenor, from clear as a crystal to rasp/distortion/vocal fry and back on a dime, which is incredibly difficult to do and he makes it look so damn easy! He has a timbre in his voice that I've never heard before.....just hauntingly beautiful and pure tonal properties to it! An awesome talent. Can sing like an angel or the devil ! Loved your reaction and your take on David's performance Elizabeth!! Try "Deceiver", "The Night", "Indestructible", "The Light", and "Enough" by Disturbed too. They are a "bit" heavier......lol.....
... you are _the_ most amazing reactor... You genuinely add to the songs you react to. Not just in a "vicariously experiencing it for the first time again" way that most reactors do. Not even in the education about musical decisions and techniques that many vocal coach reactors do. You add to the experience of the music itself in a way that's difficult to describe. You add to the _emotion_ of it.
I've cried to this song before... but I didn't expect to cry to it today, to a reaction.
Thank you.
not to mention she wears a lot of emotion on her sleeve, and it's wonderful to see on her face the same things we felt when we heard these songs.
Disturbed, “The Light” - is a proper rock song and a masterpiece of composition. But the music video is the cherry on top! Holding my breath to watch you break it down.
this is a great video.
Yes as am I !!!
Oh yes, please! I know you'd love it, and I know your fans would love you loving it!
The Light is one of my favorite songs by them.
Yes, she should DEFINITELY react to "The Light" by them!!!
One of their own songs I love is The Light if you really listen to the lyrics and watch the visuals properly together, touches me deeply every single time.
One of my favourite songs of modern Disturbed. Can relate to it in so many ways, as I'm sure others can.
I also recommend 'The Night' to balance things out ;)
That as well as save our last goodbye from that album, and then a reason to fight and already gone from evolution are all heavy hitters
The Light is mine too!!!
Hadn't heard that one yet, so I went and listened to it. Great suggestion!
I love how Disturbed has changed over the years. They are my favorite band. The music they put out now is so uplifting and emotional. It is meant to get a response and make people feel something. Most music doesn't have anything to say these days, but listening Disturbed songs people will just find themselves crying and wondering how that happened.
Your genuine emotion brings literal tears to my eyes. Music is soooo multidimensional, and it's such a blessing to be able to share its depth through the abstract of "feeling".
❤️
Thank you, I am humbled!
Disturbed has done several other covers (since Elizabeth mentioned it), including covering "Shout" by Tears for Fears (which is BY FAR my favorite cover they've done-David's vocals and their approach to the song is insanely more powerful IMO), "Land of Confusion" by Genesis, "Midlife Crisis" by Faith No More, and "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2. "Shout 2000" (Disturbed's title) from _The Sickness_ would definitely be my recommendation for another Disturbed cover.
Yes, more Disturbed please. They don't just sing music, they perform it
They live and are music.
Yes, well said!
11:20 "Firefly. Oh!" :D That was perfect.
'Firefly' reference! +1 to Elizabeth's already staggering Amazingness score. (Shiny)
i was doubting myself when i heard the reference, but yes thats a +1
i believe that now no power in the verse can stop her
Gorram shiny!
I had to rewind and listen again. We are all a leaf in the wind
I tend to forget to listen to this wonderful woman's voice and start listening to those darned happy, eternal eyes of hers :)
yeah damn she is beautiful
Such expressive eyes!
How about "Hold On To Memories" by Disturbed. It shows their depth, in depth.
That song, physically hurts. Its so good but can never listen to it without crying.
definitely. and his official video of it is just as poiniant as his voice.
Makes me cry so much 😪
It makes me good cry though, not bad cry. I've gotta go listen to it right now actually! 🎶 🎵
Sting has specifically said that he didn't define what 'You' referred to, because it's for the listener to decide what it is that they hold their faith in, be it themselves or something else. He said it's easy to list the things that someone loses faith in, but whatever it is that keeps them going and gives them hope, is what he's talking about. You absolutely nailed it in your observation/interpretation.
"Uninvited guest!" Massively underrated disturbed song, a lot of pain and passion can be heard from David in this one definitely worth it
At 10:20: When you forget your were listening to Disturbed, and they remind you!
What a question!! Of course we'd love to hear more Disturbed reactions!!
I'd really love to hear 'Hold on to memories' or 'Stronger on your own'
Great song and great analysis. I like to watch someone rise up under the influence of music, because I feel the same way ;)
Elizabeth, YOUR voice is pure velvet! It's like a warm cinnamon bun dripping with butter and laced with spine-tingling electricity. GOD TRULY BLESSED YOU! After reading the "about" section above, I am sure I have heard your voice before. You are on the wrong side of the videos. Maybe they are already, I don't know as I just found this channel but people should be marveling over YOUR voice. What ever you're selling, I'm buying. I would gladly pay you to read a dictionary in a foreign language. WOW. Update- saw some of your performances and just realized how low and insignificant my previous comment would be about you now knowing more of your background. I wasn't even aware of your singing voice, only your speaking voice. Amazing!
Shout and Land of Confusion are another couple of covers, but four other songs that stand out are The Light, Hold on to Memories, A Reason to Fight and Prayer.
I love that you called out Prayer. I grew up on early Disturbed and while it might be the most classic or metal of their alternative hits it was that moment for me when I realized David and Disturbed had something else to say.
I love that album.
Man, this video was an eye-opener for me about how great of a fit this song is for them. Many of their own songs lyrically deal with the same kind of self-trust, self-reliance, self-faith things. I didn't realize before how well this song meshes with the message they put in their own songs.
So many of their songs are about being resilient in some way, it's part of why I like them so much.
@@crashcanuck ditto. Ten Thousand Fists came out when I was in high school and they always really helped me through tough times but that album came out at a time when I really, really needed the extra kick in the butt.
Down with the Sickness fuckin slaps, tho
Best facial expressions ever !!!
I love watching !!!
David Draiman has mastered the voice. What a gift!
Disturbed’s ( A reason to fight ) is a very powerful message for this time. And their cover of Land of Confusion is also a great listen.
Your reactions are so educational and entertaining to watch. The way you share your knowledge of music and vocals sparks interest, curiosity, and a desire for more. Most people who possess your level of musical acuity come across as arrogant. You don't and it's appreciated.
She is also a master in analyzing the visuals of the video clips.
“They all seem like game show hosts to me.” One of Sting’s most relatable lyrics.
I would LOVE to see you do a reaction to their song "Hold On To Memories" as it's a very powerful, emotionally driven song.
This right here, please react to this song, great suggestion!
I couldn't agree more. Please check it out.
As much as I love to listen to music, I never put much thought into what goes into making a song great. I have always thought that making music was just a bunch of people coming together and just punching out the chords and words. Your explanation of all of the nuances in the singing really breaks down how good production contributes to the overall effect of the song. I really enjoy how you break down the music.
If you love the breakdown, you should check out Rick Beato and his series "What makes this song great" he usually break a track down by each instrument by what intersting thing is going on.
So happy you did this song like hear your take "hold on to memories"
Yes!
YESSS! Seconding this!
I'd love to hear her perspective on that song, always makes me appreciate it even more!
I'd me a blubbering wreck on that one.
Kinda was on this one.
@@donk3ypunchzero yeah, me too. A Reason To Fight would be great as well, both those songs are strong.
I know nothing about the technical side of singing, but your passion for it is so captivating it's infectious. Your clear love of music is simply a joy to take in.
Elizabeth, what you do is a MASTERCLASS in music and sensibility. You are a true gem to watch.
I just love the fact that a person who can sing with classical perfection, such as yourself, has avoided the real and/or perceived snobbery, that is often expressed by classical and operatic performers. You are an amazing singer, yet you have such a love of music, that you discover perfection in technically imperfect performance. You are one of a kind! Thanks!
never get involved in the politicks of your profession and you can stay humble and non snobbish.
My introduction to Simon & Garfunkel was through my mother. When I ran Disturbed's cover of The Sounds of Silence by her years later, she thought it was just about the best thing ever. I had no idea that they'd done this particular cover last year, but she's also familiar with Sting so she'll get an earful of this as well. Many thanks for analyzing this and giving me the heads-up.
“Who taught you how to hate” from Disturbed’s “Immortalized” album. Great message for today’s world.
A truly underrated bottom of the album gem. You are 100% correct my person!
One of my all time favorite Disturbed songs is The Night off the Indistructable album. Lots of power and the vocals are amazing.
All of Disturbed's covers are awesome. If you haven't checked out Land of Confusion and Shout, you really should.
Noone beats Phil Collins at his own songs, but I get that people would like to make a cover of a great song 😎
@@PSL1969 EVERYONE beats Phil Collins at his own songs. I realized I don’t hate his songs, but Phil Collins’ voice, singing style, and just everything about him when I started hearing covers by bands like Disturbed, Nonpoint, etc. Good writer, but JFC he’s awful at everything else.
Land of Confusion was the first thing I ever heard from Disturbed. They nail it. Different, heavier but the essence is totally there of the original.
@@insaned4666 yeah I'm openly a Phil Collins hater, but credit where it's due, he has written some pretty good songs. I can't stand his voice or his arrogant behavior. I thought South Park nailed him perfectly years ago.
Shout 2000 is an epic cover. Land of confusion - along with it's music video really brings home the state of the world. another one of those songs that describes the true nature of the planet. One more song that is my favourite right now is Avenged Sevenfold - The Stage. Although it's not a cover. it's another song that is true to life.
There's something special that happens in this video and others like it. Disturbed's work is mostly angry, depressed, and on the painful side of a lot of personal struggles. It makes the message they're putting out here that much more powerful; when someone who struggles with all that negativity and anguish tells you to keep faith in yourself and you can make it through you feel it on a whole other level than when someone who is always outwardly cheerful and encouraging does.
Yes! So much. It feels like they are genuine. They know how you are feeling and have felt it too.
YES… Much more Disturbed. 😁
I love that she is so knowledgeable and smart, and that her face so wonderfully mirrors her thinking.
Hi Elizabeth, I remember listening to Sting's original song back in the early 90's, and Disturbed did an amazing rendition almost 30 years later. David Draiman is an incredible front man and one of the best at singing covers while making them his own version. They were able to capture the feeling of this song and made it into a graphic visual experience. Thank you, Elizabeth!!! 💙
May be time for Mrs. Zharoff to visit some classic Sting. Would you agree?
I would love to see some more Disturbed! All of their covers, especially Land of Confusion and Shout are incredible. As for originals, I'm a huge fan of Hold On to Memories and The Light in particular
Her beautiful expressions melt my heart. I wish everyone could feel this level of love for music the way she does.
I love that the message wasn't to place your faith in someone else but to hold it within yourself.
Hold on to Memories or A Reason to Fightwould be a great ones from Disturbed.
Seconded. A Reason to Fight would be a great choice.
Hold on to Memories is absolutely beautiful. I would love to see a reaction to this one. Such a good message about the loss of loved ones and living life to it's fullest to build memories that last after you're gone.
Both are phenomenal
YES and YES!!!
Disturbed's cover game is definitely strong
Sound of Silence, this song, Ishwilf, Land of Confusion, are all top notch
@@Exlegion19 "Shout" by Tears for fears too.
It's cause they started as a cover band
@@sinisapasanec1645 just about to say that
@@piercemybrain1220 they did not. As soon as David joined the band, he was down to start writing original music.
Disturbed "The Sound of Silence" was my gateway drug into #ElizabethZharoff. Since I found this channel, I've learned more about vocal characteristics than I ever knew I needed to know. As a voice actor/narrator The Charismatic Voice has been a fantastic resource!
It has been said before, but I'll add my vote. "Hold onto memories" is one of the most powerful message from any song I've ever heard. It is beautiful and it has helped so many people. I know it has helped myself and a lot of friends and families.
-Firefly intro. Definitely memorable.
There is a young band out of newzeland called Alien Weaponry that sing in Maori you should take a peek at im hooked !
Yes, Alien Weaponry are amazing
After that: Shepards Reign - Al Menu.
@Silver & Cold but they are delicious
I 4th or 5th this
Everyone forgets that Disturbed's first cover was of "Shout" back in 2000
Young lady thank you for bringing music (that I would never listen to) ALIVE! Such a deep and glorious gift. THANK YOU!
Yes, more Disturbed, please!
Need to react to their covers of Shout by Tears for Fears, and Land of Confusion by Genesis.
I second these. I love Disturbeds cover songs
Shout is my second favourite cover of theirs. Definitely far above this.
I really miss covers. I know there is licencing reasons for their disappearance, but I really loved that old 70's (and well into 80's in Australia, hell, probably the 90's if we talk about Shivers) standard of one song on an album being a reinterpretation of someone else's song.
It allows you comparison of band's musical talents, and new interpretations of songs we love.
Sometimes a great songwriter is not themselves gifted with the ability to best present that song, and other times the experiences of another person allow reinterpretation of a song in a different way.
For me, the best part of sharing music with others is not just to share the noise, but to share the understanding and emotion that melds together with the noise to create feeling.
Haven't heard the original Shout, it seems. Thank you Andrew!
@thecharismaticvoice please do that ^ ❤️
Yeah, Sting is a genius. Modal pop music with poetic lyrics. Disturbed does a great job at interpreting the angst.
The greatest thing about music is each person can interpret it in their own way. For me this was Always a kind of declaration of when someone awakens my anger and then has to deal with doing so.
I’m glad you asked. I didn’t want to flood you with just disturbed requests. I just watched your reaction to matalica’s “One” and you mentioned that you enjoy music videos with a message. “Hold on to Memories” is an original Disturbed song that was so melancholy and uplifting that it definitely brought a tear to my eye.
It's that whole album...you should just go through all of it. It's worth it and it makes me smile and cry all in one song.
"Hold on to Memories" is another song that allows you to get a good grasp of his talents.
I was introduced to David Draiman and Disturbed in The Sounds of Silence, which is now my all time favorite. SOS came out when I was in high school, but their interpretation brought me to tears. David's voice is so amazing I have been hoping they would do more of this type of song. I have never been a fan of "angry" music, but when it is part of the arc of story telling mixed with these other masterful vocals I love it.
I want you to do every Disturbed song ever! Lose My Faith hit heart strings with me, losing my faith in my father. And he was the one who showed me Sting so it hit home!!! Disturbed has been my favorite band since they rose to greatness! I actually want a tattoo of their symbol but covid.
David does an amazing job covering 'Shout', and 'Land Of Confusion' as well. You should check those out. He's got such an amazing voice.
Their cover of Land of Confusion, minus the cliche "ah-ah" bits, honestly just feels like if Genesis wrote a 21st Century rock album. It's so spot on and respectful of the original, and doesn't lose the identity of EITHER artist. It's so cool.
@@coleG112 couldn't have said it better myself.
How the hell have I forgotten about "Shout"? Hard agree.
Isn't it awe inspiring to see different takes on classic songs, and have them end up with different messages than the original? David Draiman is such an accomplished vocalist. I remember hearing "The Sickness" and thinking David was only going to be a one trick pony. I'm glad I was so very wrong.
I like how it starts like a tragedy and ends like an anthem.
From a different rock band (Billy Talent), "rage makes love harder to stop" and that's the feeling I'm getting from this
Elizabeth, I LOVE watching your reactions. The first time I watched this channel was for your Disturbed, Sound of Silence reaction. The one Disturbed song I would really like to see a reaction to is Uninvited Guest but I don't think they have an official video for it, so I guess the runner up would be their Genesis cover of Land of Confusion.
Disturbed- Indestructible
Ten Thousand Fists
The Vengeful One
Stricken
All heavy, all worth a listen. Thanks :)
also inside the fire. heavy song but it's an important topic to discuss
Also, Land of Confusion (a Genesis cover), Inside the Fire and Perfect Insanity.
The entire Believe album could be released as written poetry without the music, if you just read the lyrics
Wish I was 40 years younger and could meet someone so vibrant, passionate and engaging as you. I think sitting and having a conversation with someone like you would be have been an amazing experience. Your personality is mesmerizing. I usually scoff and scroll past the myriad of folks who try to do what you do. You are the only one that I watch and enjoy. Alas, I have accepted that I shall exist alone and bereft of such encounters from now on. I wish you much success and may God bless.
I’m amazed by how observant you are. You catch key details almost immediately on the very first listen. Very impressed
I'm so happy they did a cover of this song! It felt a lot more sincere and real to me in this version, and I love Elizabeth's interpretation of it. Thank you so much!
I have had a very special connection with Breathe and it's my favourite Disturbed song. The way the bass line connects with the chours caught me from the first time I heard it. Also, the vocals have helped me let go of my anger and disappointment in some people. It's just a very important song for me. However, I have yet to talk to anyone who feels the same way about this particular song.
Elizabeth’s facial expressions are so cute and it’s almost as if she is telling us about what she is thinking about through her face lol
Best vocal analysis channel I have come across on the whole of CZcams (and I have watched many different people) but the way she explains everything is just enough for those who aren’t singers but who are interested in music to understand without getting too technical (or boring!)
Saw Disturbed just before covid hit and definitely an amazing band and David sounds so distinct you can always tell it’s him!
Definitely the live version of ‘Hold on to the memories’ by Disturbed is worth a listen Elizabeth 👍👍
Keep up with the cool video content 👏👍
watching this hyper classical person fall in love with with a metal singer just brings a smile to my day.
Your pure joy in a voice makes me feel not so alone in that world
"Under Your Scars" - Godsmack
i would love to hear/see your reaction to Disturbed's "The Light". I think it is a great song with a great message. Thank you for this reaction, as always fantastic!!
I love to just watch HER reaction of discovery of great music 😊! Precious thing to happen.
Love it! Disturbed always puts their "Disturbed" twist on their covers. David, just Wow! I agree, amazing how similar his smooth voice is to Sting. Great cover, love it
I really appreciate the points of technical breakdown of the vocals in this video.
And all her videos.
I hope you triple the numbers with this one and hit a few million views.
Sting’s vision was ahead of his time. His haunting lyrics have aged well.
And this is why David Draiman should be credited as one of the most influential and well versed singers right up there with the legend Freddy mercury.
His cover of The sound of Silence is amazingly perfect!!
as is Elizabeth's reaction to it. ;-)
@@Andy_from_de might have missed that one 😳😭
A good one to listen to is "Darkness" although "Prayer", "Believe" and "The Light" are good to.
Land of confusion (cover), pain redefined (original), I'm alive (original). I've been listening to Disturbed for years and you've hit the nail on the head. David is very conscious of not only the message but the emotions within the message. Listening to anything Disturbed has put out. You won't regret it.
One of my top 10 bands...
Oohh!!! Hold on to Memories... newish... good stuff, great message!
Disturbed has put a cover (at least one) on every one of their albums. Every one does exactly what you say: put a twist in both the presentation and the message inside it.
two female vocal in one strong duet Within Temptation - Paradise (What About Us?) ft. Tarja
Yes! We need more Within Temptation on here. So far Elizabeth has only heard Sharon in another duet and never got back to any of her WT stuff. It's criminal I tell you! You have my vote.
Agreed, same thing with Epica. Elizabeth only heard Simone Simons either in a duet with Floor Jansen or on that Ayreon song. Also she only listened to Tarja once, on that "Phantom Of The Opera" Nightwish cover.
We need this!

Please do “hold onto memories” my dad is going to be going through chemo and radiation soon and that song really hit hard when I listened to it. Really enjoy watching you go through these songs and have such joy listening to them.
Thinking of you Chris. A friend sent me Hold on to memories a few days after my mum died. Music is one of the ways I hold on to her memory - of singing with her and learning to harmonise from her. I hope your dad's fight against cancer is won soon
Two years ago I heard this song, it's a beautiful song. But not until I watched this video did I really get the meaning of it. It was a somewhat rollercoaster for me, when you said you could apply it to anything, I had a semi existential crisis thinking about what I really have faith in. And then at the end, the reflections, it made me start sobbing. I'm a childhood cancer survivor, and I had forgotten after 20 years that I do have a lot of faith in myself. And I need to hold onto it. Thank you Elizabeth, thank you David.
