    For club and country, Kylian Mbappe just can’t stop scoring. Despite being at PSG since the 2017-18 season, he has over 250+ goals for them, he’s scoring 30+ goals regularly he’s achieved this feat in 6 consecutive seasons, he’s their highest goalscorer there all time as well and he’s still only 25 years old. Many people will say that it’s only because of Ligue 1, but any player putting up those numbers especially before entering your prime regardless of the league you play in, you’re genuinely a world class player. If it’s so easy to score goals in Ligue 1, put any average player in that league I don’t see them putting up the numbers that Mbappe is putting up. As I said before, he’s a couple goals away from reaching 50+ goals in the champions league and also the World Cup is the biggest stage in all of football and he’s done it for the national team when it matters the most. He’s one of the best big game players in the world and the fact that he does it against some of the best teams and countries in the world, imagine if he was in the premier league or La Liga he’d be doing the exact same havoc because he’s that good.
    This season alone, he has 41 goals in 42 games and in my opinion in terms of individual brilliance, Kylian Mbappe is the best player in the world and he would get a lot more respect if he wasn’t playing in the “Uber Eats league”. It’s obvious to me that just from watching him off the eye test with his ability to create something out of nothing score goals use both feet when dribbling his electrifying pace and skill, he’s a level above every other player in world football right now even if he plays in the farmers league. He has the numbers to back up his incredible talent individually combined with how he passes the eye test with flying colors whenever he has the ball at his feet. He just continues to go from strength to strength and he’s in his peak years now which is a scary sign for him and the stats will continue to go up for him at both club and international level. At this stage of his career, no matter how well he plays domestically, many football fans care about him winning the champions league, because while he’s been very good for his country and has been brilliant for his club domestically, at PSG you won’t get the respect that you deserve unless you win the champions league. If he doesn’t win the UCL season, many people will look back at his time at PSG and bring up the fact that you scored over 250+ goals for them yet no champions league title to show for it despite playing together with Messi and Neymar at one point. The bias around him is so crazy because if Mbappe was scoring goals at this rate in the premier league, the narrative towards this guy would be different and people wouldn’t stop talking about him. He’ll most likely go to Real Madrid this summer once and for all and before he joins a club where he’s guaranteed to win multiple UCLs and Ballon Dors, it’s possible that he wins the Ballon Dor this year if PSG wins the Champions League or if France wins the EUROs. It would be an iconic moment for Kylian Mbappe if he manages to lead PSG to their first ever champions league title. In terms of leagues, that’s where Henry has an edge over Mbappe because he was doing it in the best league in the world for many years compared to Mbappe where he’s on a team that’s guaranteed to win the league every season, but in terms of big games and finals Mbappe has an edge over him because he’s had some iconic performances where he’s delivered when it matters the most and I’m not trying to discredit Henry for not scoring a single goal in a major final even though he was carrying Arsenal for years. While he’s unlikely to replicate the exploits that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo had from a career and longevity perspective, Kylian Mbappe is the face of football and people need to appreciate this guy a little more because he is the best player in the world and he can potentially be the best French player of all time at the rate in which he’s going.

He is one injury away from being one of the best players in the world to a decent player due to his speed and athletic brilliance. He could have won the Champions League by now if he hadn't gotten injured a couple weeks before the final against Byran Munich as that injury really slowed him down and hit the team's confidence.

    Kylian Mbappe has the potential of going down as one of the best players in football history. In my opinion he’s not getting the respect that he deserves due to the fact that he plays in Ligue 1 and everyone sees it as a “farmers league”. It’s obvious to me that nobody cares about the “Uber Eats league” because whenever he’s producing on the big stage whether it’s at the World Cup or the Champions League, we push narratives that he could be the best player of all time. At the age of 25, he’s very close to being in the top 10 scoring charts in the champions league and he’s been at his very best in different World Cups proving that he’s not just doing it domestically in Ligue 1. People will say this is recency bias, but he could be end his career as a much better player overall than Thierry Henry. Thierry Henry was dominating the premier league for many years at the time a much physical league and he was the face of Arsenal, when it comes to the national team and their UCL, it’s true Mbappe holds an edge individually and big game performances too.
    At the age of 18, with Monaco of all teams, he won Ligue 1 and got to the champions league semifinals with them and ever since he’s been getting Ballon Dor shouts even at such a young age. As a teenager, he took the World Cup by storm in 2018 helping France win the tournament and he shocked the football world with his performances throughout the tournament. At the age of 23 before his 24th birthday he already played in back to back World Cup finals he finished the 2022 World Cup with the most goals and scored a hat trick in the final and almost helped France win another World Cup and it tells you how good he is and he’s nothing more than a game changer. He’s also the 3rd highest scorer of all time with the national team and the rate in which he’s scoring goals, he’s gonna end his national career as with the most goals all time in French history and it’ll probably be an unbreakable record because he’s scored so many goals for his country before his peak years and he is in his prime right now.

      Why would him performing in a lesser tournament prove who is better. Even in ligue 1 mbappe outperform him in ONE season. Its not close at all. Not to mention mbappe has scored in finals. Back to back World Cup finals. NO DEBATE!!

    • @ashleythomas4112
      @ashleythomas4112 Před 21 dnem

      @@joshjohnes4868 Abysmal take. Henry's best CL season was better than Mbappe's. When has Mbappe dragged a mediocre team that barely finished 4th in their league to a CL final like Henry did with Arsenal in 2005-06? The only time PSG made the CL final in 2019-20 Mbappe didn't even score a single goal in the knockout stage. Ligue 1 is not relevant, the level there is way below the standard of the top 3 European leagues.
      Way to much emphasis is being placed on two World Cups over the total time period of a couple months, a way better way to measure is over their careers and as I said, let's see Mbappe go to a top 3 European league and become the GOAT of that league/dominate like Henry did in the Premier League at Arsenal. That is a way bigger accomplishment than anything that Mbappe has done yet.

    Ped I'm your biggest fan and I appreciate your videos and hope you upload much more often. However I just disagree with this take simply because I think the 'americanisation' and 'cristiano ronaldolisation' of sports has made football a stats game and nothing else almost (which btw is the only reason people find something to compare b/w Messi and CR7). In Henry's time and before, stats didn't seem to mean as much otherwise the likes of Gerd Muller, Romario and van basten would be valued above the likes of Pele, R9 and Maradona respectively.....but I don't think that's the case. The points made in this video could be used against someone like R9 as well or some other legend. I get the international argument though for France. Mbappe is much better in that regard but generally, eye test, aesthetics and pure talent together with achievements and impact on the game, I don't think it's fair to put Mbappe alongside Henry.....at least not yet.

    Bro all do respect but your take is absolutely BS. Ligue 1 is a way lower competition than the premier league. How can you compare Mbappe goals in ligue against horrible non competitive team in France with Henry goals in the best league in the world with the toughest competition with tough opponents. And i am not only talking Chelsea, Man U or Liverpool. In the premier league no team is a guarantee win. And number two, you are just like young head of today. Stats, stats, stats and numbers, numbers, numbers. I said it before i will say it again to all you young naive stats pickers. Stats don't tell the whole story. Eyetest L&G. Watch the games. Do not just watch the stats and numbers and think you know the whole story, because your completely wrong. That's like only watching the noticeable and memorable clips of a movie and looking at the movie's box office numbers and maybe seeing a clip of the end and say that the movie is the best movie ever while you haven't watch the whole movie. Or say this rapper A is the better than this rapper B because he sold more albums but you haven't listen to the albums. Again stats don't tell the whole story. Mbappe is amazing and internationally he has done more than Henry i absolutely agree on that. But Mbappe better than Henry all-time??? No i can't give him that yet. I have see a little bit more. Especially when you go to Real to LaLiga a top league like the PL. Show me their what you can do and will talk about surpass Henry. Ligue 1 is too easy. Mbappe is no doubt definitely already Top 50. I am even bold enough to say he is Top 25 or 20 maybe. Because we can deny his incredible International career. But for me do it also in the big leagues not only ligue 1. And once again STATS AND NUMBERS DON'T TELL THE WHOLE OF STORY. EYETEST VERY IMPORTANT WATCH THE GAMES.
