A couple of things needs to be said.
First, Martinez arrival needs to be credited to two 2010 Champion League winners, both Argentina: Diego Milito, who was and still is a major figure at Racing Club, and Javier Zanetti, Inter vice-president and previous legendary captain. They spent months behind the scenes to convince Lautaro.
Second, Onana was a very good goalkeeper at Inter. He didn't really make bad mistakes. He played maybe 30 games in Serie A and made just 2 major mistakes and, considering how bad was the defense in the first parte of the season and how many times he was the only reason Inter had a clean sheet, I'd say he was great and he is blamed for no reason.
Third and last. The turning point was not really the signing of Antonio Conte as a manager, rather it was Luciano Spalletti. He came and did a wonderful job: he fixed the defense , which was an everlasting problem for the previous 5 years; found Brozovic's natural prowess as a CDM (he was going to leave the club for Sevilla when Spalletti personally requested him to stay) and drove the team in Champions League for the first time since 2011, for the joy of the funs and club's pockets. The flow of cash from the Champions League was enough to satisfy Conte's spending spree ( which brought Barella, Darmian, Lukaku, Eriksen and Sanchez the following season).
Everything else is absolutely spot on.

I was born in 2002. I’m a die hard interista. When i started watching football with my dad, our team was the best in Italy and it became the best in the world for a year. I was jumping all over the room when Milito scored in the UCL final, with my big brother and my dad with tears in their eyes. But in the following years, I almost stopped watching my team. I started watching football thinking Inter would always win and then i had to see it on the 8th place in the serie A, with Juventus come back on the top. I was wrecked. Thankfully Zhang, Marotta, Ausilio and Zanetti brought my team back to where it belongs, engaging Spalletti (he brought us back in ucl, you saw what he’s capable of watching last year Napoli’s scudetto), Conte (he won the scudetto with us after 11 years) and Inzaghi (minor domestic trophies and GREAT ucl runs, reaching the final and hopefully the 20th scudetto this year). These 3 are THE BEST italian coaches out there with Ancelotti and they all worked at Inter in the last 7 years. This means Inter is in good hands. I wish us back on the top of Europe but stably, at the level of the bigs real madrid, bayern munich, man city. We’re on the right path. Forza Inter 🖤💙

Inter Milan in the early 2000s were on top of the world. Along with AC Milan and Juventus, they were the best team in Italy and they also conquered European football as well. That treble win in 2010, they had an iconic team that was led by Jose Mourinho with the likes of Samuel Eto’o Wesley Sneijder Diego Militao Julio Cesar etc and their team was so good, they beat Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona team who at the time were the best team in the world and won the treble the previous year.
Just like clubs like Manchester United AC Milan and Barcelona right now, Inter Milan for a decade when through a dark period. Not only were they struggling to win trophies like the previous years, they went so many years without champions league football and their squad was a far cry from the team that won the treble in 2010. After the arrival of Antonio Conte in 2019, they steadied the ship under him and we saw how he had success with Chelsea and Juventus while he played that traditional 3 in the back formation and he implemented the same system with Inter Milan during their run to the Serie A title in 2021. Under him we saw signs of their resurgence and now under Simeone Inzaghi they’re truly back to being an elite European club and I’m so happy to see that with them. Last season, they made it to the Champions League final for the first time since 2010 and while a lot of people including me believed that their run to the final was a fluke, they’re currently running away with the title right now in Serie A. They have such an excellent team right now so difficult to break down and are dangerous in attack especially with Lautaro Martinez in the best form of his career, complemented by Marcus Thuram who’s been a great signing and properly replaced Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko in attack, they have an organized and creative midfield combined with how they don’t concede a lot of goals. Everything about them is a sign that they’ll have another deep run in the champions league they’re a team that needs to be talked about more and also Simeone Inzaghi is such an underrated manager. With the likes of Lautaro Martinez Nicolo Barella Alessandro Bastoni etc, Inter Milan have a foundation for success in the present and the future and it’s great to see them overcome their dark years to get back to a top level and their resurgence is something that no one is noticing.

I’m sorry, but inter are the best team in Europe right now. I started following in 2014, at the peak of our shithousery, and it’s been a privilege to see where they’ve come. This season, they’ve scored the most goals in Europe, conceded the fewest, best goal differential, second best striker in europe(only behind Kane in the farmers league), scored a goal in every game, already lifted a trophy, have a 15 point gap over second place currently, and when europes top 5 leagues get put in a combined table, inter are in first. Crucify me, but inter are better than Madrid or city right now. I’ve watched every game this season, inter play the most fluid, progressive, constant football in all of Europe. I think this needs a bit more perspective. In those years, TV money started coming in, and Italian clubs were ill-advised in spending it in players rather than on infrastructures: that's why Premier League got so far ahead of the game and ultimately bought off the best Serie A players. I don't necessarily disagree with the general point of the video, but I wouldn't say the 2006 scandal put off anyone from coming to Italy. It's just, big money started to come from elsewhere. 10 years prior, players like Salah, Alisson, Thiago Silva, Eto'o, Coutinho, and many others would have spent their peak years in Italy. In those years, they either came very green, or almost done - as much as a guy like Tevez can be defined 'done,' eh.
Personal anecdote #1: Eto'o wanted to leave. He was offered an insane amount of money to go play in a war-torn place: he lived in Moscow and was flown in for the games, like Roberto Carlos and others. It was the first taste of what we now see with Saudi Arabia, and not Moratti running for the hills to save the club's financial situation.
Personal anecdote #2: when we were signing those 'old glories' (Vidic, Miranda, Godin) they served a purpose. Those were warriors. We wouldn't be where we are today if it wasn't for them. Not everything a player does translates in goals and assists, especially defenders. Supporters were conscious every step of the way that things were looking up! Forza Inter sempre.
Just to be clear on this: I liked this video very much and I wish this channel good luck!

I dont like watching these videos when they lack the knowledge of what they are talking about. Spalletti qualified us for champions league 2season in a row before Conte came. And their were also Vieri, Adriano,Baggio,Recoba,Djorkaeff who were top players...

LOL... "the darkest decade of their history"... as a milanese and Inter fan coming from a family of Inter fans for three generations (I'm 50+ and my grandpa used to go see his idol Benito Lorenzi play for Inter at the Arena Civica in the 1930s, just to say) you make me laugh and literally don't know what you're talking about.
We've had seasons in which we eded up almost relegated with indecent teams that were really weak, we've even been completely out of the European cups for more than a decade after the '70s...

Parma and Palermo got relegated due to dept that wasn't more than 40 millions, Inter in 800+ in dept lol I don't see them relegated, and this season, the referees should just wear an Inter shirt and enter the pitch because it's been really uncanny and too blatant lol

You dont know how finances work, if you can still have debt solvency you won't receive a writ of execution notice. Parma and Palermo got liquidated because not even sponsors wanted to put money in there.
