But as much as I enjoyed watching this video, it made me inevitably realize that we are not going to have this guy in European football ever again especially after the Euros.
It is a weird feeling to see someone you grew up watching and idolizing, treated as if they were a art piece in the Museum.
Back then, he needed no explanation for people to understand how good he was. But now, especially the younger generation needs an explanation like a piece of art in the Museum to explain how great he was.

Poetically put. It is like every time someone mentions Ronaldo is turning 40 in a few months, everyone freaks out seeing him in that beautiful Portugal kit. Performance wise he surely has plummeted but somehow remains sharp in the box, still has a decent cross in him, passing and link up play is still okay, he has maintained his enormous leap, he still is in good physique, he can still be very useful, just not as well as the Ronaldo of the old. Today's Ronaldo clearly would flourish in a system that crosses the ball heavily, circa 3-peat Madrid. He had Marcelo, Kroos, Bale, Carvajal, Vazquez, Modric and even Ramos spamming crosses into the box all game, he would maybe get to the end of 4 out of 15 crosses, but end up with a brace or hattrick! Their gameplan was that simple. It helped they had people very good in the air roaming around the box like flies, Bale, Benzema, Ramos, Pepe, Varane and Casemiro were nightmares in the air too, waiting to pounce on the crosses that don't land to Ronaldo. This is the only path Ronaldo makes sense as a starter in the National team, not putting him in a system that will demand him to press like a hungry dog, that is not what he is good at. The other option is to bench Ronaldo, I am not sure how Ronaldo would respond to that, I guess we will see. All I know is if Ronny has a good Euros and the team somehow manages to be the first actual golden generation in forever to deliver, he is gonna push for the 2026 World Cup as the final nail in a coffin to his long ass career! It would be sour if Portugal disappoints at the Euros, again.

Natural talent? perhaps Hazard did have it more than CR7, but when it comes to the hunger, professionalism, and disciplining their bodies, CR7 is the best of all time. that guy is obsessed with maintaining his physicality.

I don't know why people are hating one as a fan of other. They made football feel alive. Why fan of one makes other feel small. They both are goats, both are legend. We should cherish that they played in the era we were alive in. Please stop comparing both start cherishing as they are never gonna be there again. I miss them both. Football is never gonna be the same.

I still don't understand how people need to be told how good Ronaldo is. It's not like a player who had a short prime or scored a lot of goals once. It's bloody Cristiano Ronaldo. People seriously need help if they think he was anything but one of the greatest.

What hazard meant was that he was born more gifted than Ronaldo, meaning that if Hazard had applied himself in football and in training like somebody like CR7, then he couldve been on the same level if not better. If you have seen any of the Hazard interviews and interviews with managers you know he didnt try at all in training and hated it and only played in the games Lol. Ronaldo is clear of him of course but its the what couldve been.

Nobody forgot how good he was, there will never be a player as feared as this guy. You can argue he's not the best player of all time or that Messi may be better, but this was the one player no defender ever wanted to face, every fan remembers that. Messi never had the mentality Ronaldo had, not remotely close. That's why Ronaldo won back to back European titles at Madrid for fun. Drawing Real Madrid on the knockout stages in those years was an early ticket home for any team.

I wonder why people even give care to Hazard's comment. Look at time in Madrid it says it all, he thought he was playing his usual PL game level. And for those saying injury, understand that Hazard's injury doesn't compare to that of Ronnie. But CR7 bounced back because of mentality which Hazard lack.
