Where does CR7 rank (all-time) for you?
5th CR7 4th Di Stefano 3rd Maradona 2nd Pele 1st Messi. GOAT category in terms of trophies/lethal but didn’t offer as much to the game outside of goalscoring. Elite mentality/efficiency rather than god-like natural ability. Probably the greatest European player to do it although I believe Cryuff had the better talent & influence on the game.

#1 and not because ima Real Madrid fan, because he won everything everywhere. Because his country is a small one and never won anything before him. If he never won anything on the international stage then he would be #2. Of course this is my opinion, but Messi was suppose to win, it’s Argentina, they are meant to be a super power in World Football. Figo’s generation to Cristiano is Portugal’s golden era in my opinion and the generation that should’ve won it didn’t but he carried it forward. Again, just my opinion as an avid fan of the sport. 🤙

His time at Madrid is the type of career that is still unmatched imo, consider the goal ratio and the number of trophies he won, solo goals, freekicks, headers, penalties, dribbles, assists, left foot, right foot, influence on the pitch, off the pitch, every single skill, he was the definition of PRIME.

2007/08 2011/12 and 2013/14 were his best seasons. He became are pure number 9 after a knee problem in 2014 and became more reliant on others to a greater extent to be effective than he was before.
he wasn’t a pure 9 cuz he played on the wing and he had 100x the dribbling and passing ability of pure 9s like Haaland, lewa etc
@@CxstaOfficial I think he meant he plays more centrally after the tendinosis injury by the fact he attempted less dribbles
Ronaldo was never a pure Number 9. A pure number 9 is essentially a classic striker, who can hold up play in the middle and stay in the box. Ronaldo's best performances has always been coming off from the left to arrive in the middle to score. He more or less works best with a striker who switches positions with him whenever needed, which is why Benzema was the perfect partner for him.
Wouldn't say a pure #9 but definitely more like a #9 compared to his previous #7 role with the previously unseen scoring prowess as a #7 (winger). To do that switch and perform still at a very high level is not an every day ocurrance. Both positions comes with its own dynamics, skill sets, positional awareness, etc. So @ the urging of Zidane, the RM Manager at the time, Ronaldo listened to his career prolonging advice ie, do less dribbling to avoid tackles, etc., etc.,. In 2014, before the Brazil WC, I remember when the news came out regarding the tendonitis in his left knee and the rigorous regimen, both on a daily basis as well as part of his pre game regimen BEFORE hitting the pitch. I remember thinking when the regimen was explained in detail, the mental strength one would need to do that on a daily basis, etc... Just amazing tbh. I mean supposedly he spends almost 1.5 hrs with his pregame routine, before he even hits the field. Lots of respect for that kind of dedication and mental strength, just to be able to play.

Exactly, he scored so many goals in so little amount of games for Real Madrid that everyone forgot he was a winger

2005/06 - 2009/10 was his first prime
He played on the right wing, was exciting with his dribbling and skill moves, world class at playmaking and still kept a high level of goalscoring, excellent in the air and could use both feet
The most complete version of any footballer ever
2010/11 - 2014/15 was his second prime
He became the greatest goalscorer ever during this period and he was a winger and was still excellent at dribbling and passing, remained the best at skill moves and was still complete
This was the peak of Cristiano Ronaldo statistically
He moved to the left wing in 2012 (11/12 season) and became a left winger and was still the best at goalscoring.
This was a very feared version of Ronaldo and he was explos1ve during this period
He became the fastest footballers in the world
2015/16 - 2018/19 was his third prime
This was known as his clutch prime and is considered by many as the most feared version of any footballer because he always broke fans hearts with late goals and comeback hattricks and he took the biggest clubs apart so easily. He also kept on winnng and winning and showing what it means to be the greatest footballer ever. Dominating every competition in sight and owning UCL
This was the legendary Noodle - hair Ronaldo era
2019/20 - 2021/22 was his fourth
In this period he became a striker and was moved to the middle
He showed his longevity and he dominated 2020
He scored 31 league goals at the age of 35 and was worth €75M
He scored 30 league goals at 36 and scored 2 premier league hattricks at 37 and was nominated for the ballon d'or with an extremely weak team
Notice how his playstyle always changed during these and how he always adapted to different situations and still continued to remain on top of football

@@theworld5881 you're clearly a stat merchant, who's too overly influenced by yankee sports. I know football? But what the fuck is _'ball?'_
In 2014 Ronaldo was diagnosed with chronic tendinitis, a knee condition that is hinderous, painful and gets worse over time. Because of this he had to adapt his playstyle and very shortly after was no longer capable of consistent blistering and mazing dribbles alongside his other elite attributes. He won his first Ballon d'Or in 2008, breaking and setting the PL goals scored in a season record because he was the compete player and was essentially unplayable, he did this in the hardest, most demanding and intense league in the world. His numbers contextually were phenomenal when you take into account the schedule, physicality and level of teams he played and this is why Madrid signed him.
Following 2014, he was no longer that player and whilst he adapted into becoming one of the worlds greatest ever goal scorers, poaching with elite positioning etc he was never the same player. He may have scored more, won more trophies or however else you wish to frame it, but he was no longer a complete player.
I framed the statement as Ronald's best years as a complete player, a player that everyone wants and needs in their team, who can create and assist in a multitude of ways. For example Bayern didn't need post 2014 Ronaldo when they had Lewandowski, but they would've taken '08 Ronaldo above either of their wingers.

Small correction: Juventus didn't lose 3 UCL finals since they last won in '96. They lost 5.
Raúl also didn't retired but went to Schalke. Reaching the UCL semi-finals finals, eliminating the former champions _(Inter)._ While Real dropped out in the round-of-16....
@@yannick245 reaching the semirfinals actually
@@MrVinjex Sorry bud! Yeah it was the semis.
amazing video👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
man this guy and Thierry henry were the dudes i wanted to play like when I started playing. i wasnt good a crossing normally; but the outside boot always worked every time.
Fantastic video!!
2006-2012 Dribling prime
2012-2018 Goal scoring prime
2018-2021 Cementing legendary status
2021-2023 had become too big of a star that everyone was jerlous of him and wanted to see him fall
I love your videos 🤩🤩 keep up
The day this man would retire I'll give football a 5years break before I'll return.😭😭😭😭
Great sensible Video...🔥
CR7 prime was in united , his move away from united was needed so that his prime could be well rewarded he would have not gotten that at united if he had stayed and truth is united could not afford to keep him . his come back to united showed after all those years the club was still recovering from the retirement of Alex .
i am proud to say and have lived and watched him play and still watch him play he is by far the best in this age . cant compare him to others he is unique and will always will be. CR7 forever .
If he had stayed at United, they would have won the CL in 2010 and potentially 2012 as well. He would have gone nuclear in both years.
My GOAT 🙂
CR7 always 🤘🏻
Early 2010 era was his absolute prime for sure
Thank you so much for this 🥺🙏🏽❤️
CR7 2008/09 & 2017/18 Are pretty different but in their own ways those 2 eras are definitely even one of the best ever version of a player 🥶🥶💙
I know a lot of people say 2013/14 was his best season cuz he broke the UCL record for most goals by a player in the command la decima but IMO his best Espn was the 11/12 season. I felt his game was complete as he still had the dribbling from Man United days but was more of a goalscoring machine plus he played more games that season then a in 2013/14.
I think he is prime was 2017 spring and 2017/2018. He was not score as much as in previous seasons, but he was scoring and helping for real in the most important matches.
You could argue that the guy has been in his prime for nearly 15 years (which in itself is absolutely ridiculous). But relatively speaking, his prime is between 2007-2013. He had the speed and agility, and could score goals all by himself week in week out. And these are not even the seasons he scored the most goals, but imo the player he was during those years was something else. One season stands out in my mind, the 2011-12 season. That's peak Cr7 right there.
Ronaldo has many primes. But primest of all primes were 2013-2017(my opinion ✌🏻) . In this period he won literally everything and was very clinical and technical be it from winger counterattack, aerial , long shot, setpiece, outside and inside box . In stats ,wins, records, abilities he was on diff league. Simply one of GOATS 🐐🔥💯.
This man is a living legend,he entertained us everywhere he played, respect.
i have tears in my eyes... he is the best and im happy when i see him play. but over is coming and im not still ready for it.😢 lot of people will cry and remember what he did in his entire amazing career. super ballon dor waiting for him. he deserve it
These videos are amazing man, keep up the good work. Looking forward to this channel growing.
Title: When was Ronaldo in his prime
Video: Summary of Ronaldo's career
I remember the record breaking fee real paid for him back in the day. 80 mil. And he had made a big impact in the league, and was proving to be world class. Playing for a team like real, was the perfect push he needed to become one of the greatest. He really cemented his legend status there for me. I will give him big props for his 07-08 season. What an asboulute display. It was the first season of football that i watched where i genuinely got really into it, and ronaldo played a big part of that.
Simply, beautiful.
He got 118 in 292 games for Utd during his first spell. He scored 145 across both spells
I think people mistake “prime” for “peak” Ronaldo's prime was probably from 2008 to 2021 arguably. His peak years were from 2011 to 2016 in my opinion.
Yeah
as for me the peak level he played and well trained was his young form at united. He almost mastered most of the techniques that a player wanted. At real madrid he tend to be a goal scorer but at united he started as a midfielder and then played as a winger. but what hard is that he was at different level in every club he joined, he was almost a complete player when he joined manchester, then he learned even more at real madrid, started scoring more than play making. but the juventus verion was criminally underrated. he gave as much as he can at there.
Amazing video. so well researched and written
i think he had different primes for different abilities, same as messi. He was a much better dribbler in his late united years and early madrid but a better player as he was smarter towards the 3 peat era. Messi was a better dribbler when he was younger and had more drive but now he’s arguably the best playmaker in the world, he was always a good playmaker but not the best in the world when he was young
That's what the video says!
As a fellow portuguese who accompanied his carrier for more than a decade I think that his prime was between 2010 and 2020. I think he was at his best in the 2011-12 season.
Bro thinks being Portuguese is a credential 😂😂😂😂😂😂
bro is portuguese and got a messi pfp 😂your "goat" penaldo is finished
@@KurtAnglesPerc It is since Portuguese people are the ones who closely followed his career the most.
@@Azure_aep Bro you are dumb AF. Who told you that Ronaldo is "my goat"? Use your fcking brain d*mbfck
@@mitonaarea5856 didn't know it was possible for a portuguese to like messi more than penaldo. proud of you man
Excellent video. ⭐
Perfect video!
THE GOAT OF FOOTBALL, BEST PLAYER ALWAYS CARRIED HIS INTERNATIONAL TEAM ALONE, HIS HARDWORK MAKES HIM THE GOAT OF FOOTBALL AND THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT HE DESERVED EVERY TROPHY HE WON
13/14 I think he had everything he had skill, pace and goals I think while his knee injury maybe made him a more efficient goal scorer I think that 13/14 season he had it all
this video is the best example of a complete content shout-out to the creator well done brother
This guy made my footballing time both watching and playing very much memorable but as he is in his end I stopped having that intrest also stopped playing because of work and career paths but no matter it was such a wonderful time for sure
When people are debating about his prime it says a lot about his longevity
People are debating his prime and often talk about his longevity, so what's your point ?
@@theworld5881 he's saying that the fact that Cristiano has multiple primes throughout his carreer really speaks for his longevity and how many years he's stayed on top
Imagine being the best player in the world. The next season there was a midget guy from Barcelona who wins everything. Yet he choose to came to Spain to confront the biggest challenge in his life(Messi). They both dominated football for 10 years. Only Ronaldo can put Messi on number 2, and only Messi can put Ronaldo on number 2. They both are irreplaceable, both player living in physical and tactical era, which no player nowadays play except them. Stop comparing, they both top of their class, 2 different player, 2 different personality, 2 GOAT.
Beautiful video
You did not pin point exact game from which ronaldo completely changed his game it was the knee injury against malaga in 2014 since then he slowed down and stoped dribling and focused on his aerial ability after that injury he use to spend 6 hours a day just to cure knee not football training or any physical training
