    0:00 Intro
0:04 Terrible for this customer new fuel tanks are pretty expensive. Also the fuel thief went from the side as there's a big skid plate covering the bottom of the fuel tank
0:42 Looks like it was a bit more than just a 'nudge'
0:51 Customer came in for new tires and oil and the mechanic found this..
0:59 Customer had a flat and asked if the mechanics could put on their spare... this was their spare
1:05 09 Honda CHF50, came in for service and drivability concern. While inspecting the cvt, I noticed a small pool of oil on my lift which led me to this discovery
1:40 This customer just laughed after seeing the state of their brakes and said how they still stopped the car - this was likely the other side which was in a much better state
1:55 Another Bluetooth axle that cant connect with the wheels
2:05 Super odd issue on this 2006 Civics water pump
2:18 At 650,000 miles you can get some weird issues going on
2:27 And yes there's some nice bits of metal chunks mixed in there also
3:06 2014 V6 Mustangs had a terrible ticking noise after putting in a replacement purge valve
3:16 2008 Titan came in with its camber/caster bolt loose
3:26 Someone left this oil filter a bit too loose, lucky the engine didn't seize yet
3:35 Jeeps transfer case not looking too good. the Customer Stated "my speedometer doesn't work". Likely water got into one of the breather hoses
3:47 Somehow this water pump pulley unthreaded itself from the shaft and instead of replace it they just put the pulley back on
3:57 Might've had a bit too much play
4:11 Cant really blame the customer for thinking it was the other shops fault, just some bad timing
4:48 Customer states "check engine light is on". Upon diagnosis a cylinder 3 misfire DTC was stored. Further diagnosis showed a cracked in the engine block allowing coolant into the #3 cylinder
4:53 Customer noticed some 'paint' was flaking off from under their car and found this

I find it funny that a vehicle which is probably the second most expensive thing a person will own (next to their house), is quite often not cared about at all.

These videos always astound me. My '97 Honda Civic is pushing 350,000 miles, and I've had VERY few problems with it. (I've made videos at every 25,000 since the car was new, with about the last hundred thousand up on youtube). I have been fortunate I know, but I also take care of my equipment. It seems that some people don't even do basic maintenance. (Note-I am NOT a mechanic-when I say "I take care of...". I mean, I send it to be looked at/maintained)

Outside of those standard things, all I had to replace was a wheel bearing too, as well as the power steering rack, and just recently (last month), a bearing was going bad in the manual transmission, so I had all the bearings done as well as the clutch. The strangest thing that I've ever seen, was when I was prepping a new Mercury Cougar for delivery. I get it up on my lift, go to check tire pressure, all good, until I get to the left rear tire. There was NO valve stem. It had steel wheels and the hole for the valve stem was never punched out during assembly at the factory. A machine mounts the tire and fills it by blowing 50lbs of air in it, sealing the tire and rim. A zone rep stopped by to see it and take a picture.

Regarding the RWD and 4WD guy.. This happens more often than one might think. Guy came in with a Wrangler. His daughter bought it while she was away at college. While she was visiting he wanted to be nice and bring it in for an oil change and multipoint. The car was only 4 or 5 years old, good shape. He asked about the 4 wheel drive and "HERE WE GO". Explained that it wasn't a 4x4 which he absolutely refused to believe. He just kept saying "But it's a JEEP". He must have said it six or seven times. I just started slapping him in the face every time he said it after the second time. At least that's what was happening in my mind. I tried to tell him some people like the Wrangler because it looks FUN. Almost any time you see one on TV It's usually a bunch college age kids parked near a beach having a good time. So they made some in 2WD for people who liked the look. He said it again! I wrote down the phone number and name of the local dealership I said maybe they can explain the decision.
I don't know it it's an old man thing, or a southern old man thing, or what. My dad does it. Anything, ANYTHING they can't immediately grasp is the stupidest thing they've ever heard of, a waste of money, a waste of time, a scam, whatever. I mean, who in their right mind would EVER buy a car based on looks?

If my old subaru needs a transmission, itll cost me 200 max and maybe a days worth of work(which i find quite relaxing since im not a lazy pos). Alse most oil change places will put a qt or 2 extra in garbage hyundais because they burn so much oil and try to cover their asses because people like you try to blame the shop to get free work done. what you see is the lower A-arm of a front suspension. The bolt keeping it in place is loose. The shim has an off-center hole made to be turned with the bolt being turned, to adjust the camber with it. Which is why it moves that much; it also seems to have bent down the struts left and right said disc would press against. (think of it like a camshaft's cam moving the shaft instead of a valve) the wheel must be all over the place with every acceleration and deceleration...

Please don't neglect oil leaking onto exaust manifold, as oil has a bad habit of catching fire....

Does America not have mandatory yearly vehicle checks for vehicles older than 5 years to be registered. Cause Australia does, most of the cars shown would fail.

Correction, not all of Australia does, only NSW.

Like the content, but, you languish a little long on the footage. IMO get the point across and move on to the next one. Don’t need 30 seconds of someone massaging crank case oil.

That scene also incorrectly claimed it was coolant that caused that sludge.
