0:21 Customer States they "didn't need tires"
0:38 The drivers side control arm snapped while turning if you couldn’t tell. It sent the wheel right into the upper fender
1:35 Customer States "I did my own belt but it got worse" I have no clue how they messed it up like this
1:48 Off to the scrap yard for this vehicle, no point in trying to fix that
1:56 Customer states lifter tick, please fix issues. Turns out to have a hole in the piston instead
Thanks to @driftratstickerco for this clip!
2:12 Both of those issues aren't mutually exclusive it seems
2:26 Customer Was complaining about having a gas leak
2:34 Signs of an extremely late oil change this must be well over 30,000 miles overdue
2:51 Mechanic unfortunately didn't hear how or when the owner ran over what looks to be a fence
2:55 So satisfying to see new parts like this go into a vehicle
3:11 2011 Kia Sorento leaking oil straight onto the exhaust heat shield - Customer was saying they could see smoke
3:24 I bet the underneath of this truck is a nightmare too
3:31 2018 Dodge Durango RT 111,000 miles was making a weird tick - most of the lifters were shot and were eating up the lobes on the camshaft
3:55 2010 Jaguar 3L V6 2010 Jaguar 3L V6 turbo was caput after the PDF was badly blocked
4:08 This is why it's sometimes best just to leave it to the mechanics when customers turn small jobs into big jobs

Depends on the type of salt and coatings/paint on the steel. Different salts eat through different coatings at different rates. This is also why undercoating is so hit or miss. Salt is stupid to use in the first place. It just makes slush... which is almost as slippery as ice. Might as well just leave it as snow which is not very slippery.

In the UK all cars 3 years old and above must by law have an annual inspection by an approved business and any defects found must be remedied before a test certificate can be given. It is an offence to drive a car on public roads without such a certificate and the test centre should not release the car to the owner until it is safe to do so. None of the cars here would be allowed on British roads. Europe in general has similar laws. It doesn't apply to vehicles used exclusively off road.

I am really amazed, that some people are running their cars to the ground. I wouldn’t do it, personally, but if I was told to do so by a honest mechanic, I would consider buying a new vehicle. Nothing lasts forever. I have a Nissan, there is one thing after another, I just keep fixing it to a degree so I can keep driving it. I can’t keep it working perfectly. Got my brakes cleaned up, after a month started grinding again. I can’t figure out what’s happening with it. Was told that my brakes are in good condition. Since I am not a mechanic I have to rely on the words of true mechanics. There are multiple noises coming from the front of my vehicle, and nobody can’t find an issue, so I live with it. The car is only 9 years old. Has 103000+ miles. Mostly city driving. Trying my best to keep it in good shape, I want to get a new vehicle, but everyone I know is against it, so I must to keep what I have. I am told that this car has low mileage, so have to wait another 100K miles, because I am not very rich. Those people who have financial freedom, I am very jealous of them, wanna get there myself. I just need to work on my self confidence. Sorry about that. I am a scaredy-cat.

    • @ironpanther2420
      @ironpanther2420 Před rokem

Sounds like your brake issue is the calipers sticking if they were worked on and went bad that quickly. They can be replaced fairly cheaply with remanufactured calipers which would solve that issue. As far as the noise from the front end, I'd need a bit more of a description of the noise to help diagnose the issue. Is it just a noise or can you feel it in the handling of the vehicle in any way?

The number of drivers willing to refuse to admit they've got a major problem is telling.
How on earth could you deny your tyres need changing or the rust is so bad when the evidence is as plain as the nose on your face?
I think it should be mandatory that all licence holders should have their cars inspected every two to three years for major defects so we can prevent morons from putting lives at risk.
