The best part of the COVID months, when he had no studio audience, was having Evie sit there giggling the whole time. Really adorable.

Steven & Evie have been through some crazy times prior to him getting his fame & fortune. When he got it, they both did. They are a genuine couple. They never let success go to their heads.
Just look for the one who makes you feel like like you've known each other forever and allows you to be yourself! That will be your soul mate. I married mine 42 years ago, and yes, he still makes me laugh. Best of luck to you. 💕💕

@@frezerh Even now, often DVDs have a better image quality than streaming. Also, they don't get interrupted by Internet failures or slowness, they have no ads, they don't eat the memory of the computer. And they do have interesting extras.

I adore that Stephen brought his wife to the show just to share some time with her and let her have some fun and probably show off a bit how lovely they've got it with each other. I have to acknowledge that.
I also have to acknowledge that the main reason I'm posting this is so also express appreciation for the inclusion of a card that's clearly meant for a sapphic couple. I don't know how intentional it was, but it's nice to see queer romance just casually included with no fuss.

It truly seems to go both ways. I mean that Evie loves Stephen just as much as he loves her. It is not a one-sided relationship.
I like it when Evie comes on the show. i like the involvement. i love that they enjoy being together. It's always pretty heartwarming . . . kind of like "The Waltons."
The pandemic caused so much pain & disruption for the country, but getting to know Evie during the WFH shows was one of those happy little surprises for Late Show fans. And now she has come into her own, genuinely thrilled to share her stories with the crowd and so graceful. And Stephen's ok, too. :) Happy anniversary, lovebirds!

Happy 29th anniversary guys. We had our 51st in mid-August. I still laugh at his jokes, but he doesn't laugh at mine anymore! But then I'm not sure he ever hears them because it has taken me years to convince the man his hearing problems require a hearing aid! He got one yesterday. Now we'll see how my jokes work out.

He would have to speak to his graphic design crew. He doesn't do this all by himself. That's anyone virtue that Stephen possesses. He always acknowledges his staff & crew. It took a long time for him to get to were he is today. He gives credit where credit is due.
@@sweett2185 I'm in total agreement with everything you've said. Stephen has a great creative team working with him and you're absolutely right, he often does acknowledge them and give them well deserved credit. Stephen and his team have raised money for charity before, e. g. "Whose Boat Is This Boat?" raised money (a million or more) for disaster relief. The first draft edition greeting cards could raise money for charity as well (even as a one off occurrence), if Stephen chose to go in that direction and if it was feasible. Regardless, the first draft card segments are always fun and entertaining.
