If Evie wanted to be on more of the show, then Steven would likely have her on the show whenever she wanted. His love and admiration for his wife shows that he loves being in her presence and sharing that love with us. The audience may want to see more of her. I don' t think she wants that job. If she DID want it, then likely she would have it. Entertainment is not a business for everyone O_o OTOH, it is nice to see her perform with her loving spouse and share their love with us.

This man is unshakeable and can have thoughtful meaningful conversations with some truly influential people. But when his beautiful wife is next to him, he turns in to a love struck teenager who only has eyes for her. The way he looks at her makes me believe in love and that they are the true epitome of what true love looks like. MORE EVIE PLEASE!!!
It makes me believe too. I like to pretend I'm a romantic cynic but I'm not. I just know the real thing is rare. They have the real thing. May they live long and continue to prosper.

Seeing Evie Colbert coming on the show has made it so much better with her being such a source of joy for him, makes it better for all of us.
After a horrible weekend with no levity, I was genuinely looking forward to the Colbert’s anniversary. The love and joy that Stephen has for Evie, and her radiant energy, are exactly the kind of pull back to earth I needed right now.
Ever since COVID, Evie’s laugh has been a source of comfort, and I love when she’s on the show. Last year when they celebrated their 29th, I got excited for their 30th. Steve and Evie Colbert, congratulations.

I can remember a day about 32 years ago when my dad came home and sat on the couch next to my mom; nothing special and not especially close. We had company. Then I see my mom discreetly reach over and put her hand in my dad's hand - and you could see her cheeks changing to a blushing pink and she had a smile and eyes like a girl with a crush. She was about 70 years old! So sweet. They had the real deal.

Congrats on 30 years, Stephen. It's extremely rare for a marriage to last that long nowadays so it's something definitely worth celebrating.
It's actually not. First of all, the "half of all marriages end in divorce" statistic is a myth, and the divorce rate (which never reached 50%) as been steadily _dropping_ for decades, and secondly, even if it wasn't a myth, that would mean that half of all married couples never get divorced, so unless you're saying that it's extremely rare for couples to live into their 50s or 60s (which it isn't), then staying married for 30 years is at least normal.

There is nothing better on late nigh tv than seeing Evie light Stephen's face up!! Awww, we also got married 30 years ago and renewed our vows in May. On our wedding day, my hubby was so nervous he couldn't even smile. He was sure he would do something to mess it up so he was trying extra hard to be perfect, LOL!!! Poor guy. He's still my true love.
