Not really. My husband and I have fallen on difficult times. We were upper middle class for the first twenty years of our marriage. I was planning to work after my husband retired, as he is twenty-two years my senior.
However, I got extremely ill when I was 47 and haven't been able to work since (I am sixty three.) Medical bills piled up because I had no insurance until I received disability. All our savings went to those bills. We now live on social security. But never, not one time, have we considered divorce. I feel very guilty for not being well and not being able to take care of him. He has never tried to make me feel bad about it at all. He and I love each other deeply, more now than ever.
Naah. It's all scripted by professionals and rehearsed until they can make it look like it's improvised.

After watching these two interact unscripted, there is only one thing I can say: I would never EVER want to be the guest that follows Evie. There is simply NO WAY to top their chemistry. They are in a class by themselves, and anything which follows them is downhill.
John Oliver could pull it off. I could see Evie sticking around for that as well, since they're already well acquainted.
hate to break it to you, kids.... but if you're not getting along AT LEAST this well with your partner... u dont have a partner...

This right here is one of the few resons I still believe in love. That humor, that camaraderie, that spark that still shines bright after ell those years together... and that devotion to each other.

I love when Evie is on. You can see their marriage and love is 100% genuine, and I bet they laugh all the time. That there is relationship goals for all of you looking for love out there. When you know, you know.

I have been to a taping of Colbert three times and each time has been amazing. But I really want to see a taping of First Drafts in person! Evie and Stephen are a joy to watch and these segments are far too short in my opinion.
I agree. Evie needs to be on more often and for more segments than just First Drafts. Perhaps a segment such as "Evie Now and Then"? Or how about "Evie Explains"? She's lovely and they're terrific together... and we need more!

I always feel so left out every year on Valentine's Day because I have never had a boyfriend, a fiancee', or a husband, however, it is still very nice that my Mom and I celebrate this day every year by giving each other a box of candy. And when my Dad was alive, he and my Mom would give each other a box of candy and they would give me a box of candy, too.❤😊

I wish they'd been around when I was a teenager/young adult. I really needed their wonderful relationship role-modelling in my life (parents fought bitterly). Maybe I would have realised that good, honest and loving relationships were actually possible.... ~sigh~ It's absolutely heart-warming to see them together and I wish Evie was on the show more, at least once a week. Together they restore my faith in humanity.

@@ArachnerdGC I think that was when so many of us fell in love with Evie and gained such respect for the whole Colbert family. Although I watched other shows (Jimmy Kimmel, Trevor Noah, Seth Meyers) I agree that Stephen and family was the best. I was thoroughly entertained.
