Well, biden is not the cause of the israel/ palestine war. Has been going on for DECADES. He is the reason we had the last ceasefire, and is working on securing the next. He is ALSO putting pressure on Netanyahu for a plan for lasting peace, via a 2 state solution.
As far as inflation goes, it peaked under trump, mostly d/t abject failed response to covid... was up to 11.2 . It is now down to 3.3, last I heard. And we have the strongest, most robust fiscal recovery in the world right now. Even faux "news" economist said so this week!
Our remaining fiscal issues are NOT due to inflation; rather high housing and food costs are due to CORPORATE GREED. For housing, biden has made it so wall st can no longer buy up the entire market of starter homes; and that they must divest themselves of all of them, to be completed within 10 yrs. He's also going after the 8 billion overdraft banking racket... lowering fees from 37$ down to 3$.
And I am kinda surprized you brought up the immigration issue, In light of the gop screw up currently underway! Because for years, gop has been squealing about the border "crisis". Not that they tried to fix it when they had all 3 branches of gov't... they were too busy giving 2.9 TRILLION tax cuts to billionaires, that you, and I are having to pay for! I do understand and agree immigration is an issue. And should be fixed asap.
But THAT is NOT gonna happen until a year from now. Unfortunately, these comments (the golden statue at CPAC and the "So God Made Trump" video) are both true.
That video was heavily based off of the famous speech given by Paul Harvey called "So God Made a Farmer." And we all know by now how much Mr. Trump likes to associate his image and his brand with gold. So to me, the color choice of that statue wasn't shocking. However, the steadfast and high level of support shown by many of Mr. Trump's supporters coupled with the Biblical parallel of the golden calf idol fashioned by the Israelites was not lost on me.

My husband and I are septuagenarians and we both wish the dinosaurs would do the world a favour and get out of political office. Our generation and the politicians who are in their eighties and nineties need to let young people determine their own future. Biden and Bernie Sanders have great ideas but they are the exception. Elderly statesmen who still have a lot to offer should act as mentors to aspiring candidates or hold government positions in supporting or advisory roles. We elderly people should encourage young people to run for office and should lend them support where needed, but we shouldn’t be creating policies and laws that affect young people. Frankly, too many of the elderly politicians and even some of the middle aged ones are greedy, corrupt, and practically brain dead. Any politicians in Congress who still worship Trump are great examples of politicians having the characteristics listed above.
