Evie: "We are going home together."
Steven: 😍
Riiiight?
Fricken adorable, all I can say.
So cute!🥰😀
I face that says "I win again!"
I thought they’ve been filming at their house
Evie has grown more comfortable in front of the camera over the past year. She's delightful!
Ditto, my take exactly
I was thinking the same. She's a delight.
She even did a plug at the end, lol.
I could watch Stephen and Evie flirt all day. They're just so cute together!
I'm sure their kids get grossed out by it. lol
For real. These are relationship goals.
Best thing about the pandemic is having Evie on the show!

Yes, of course Evee is a sweetheart. But 1st draft is the only Schlick of his I don’t like yawhn

Absolutely!!! Couldn't agree more.
Having her on the show has been the best part of the pandemic, I hope she stays

Agreed ,put me in my happy place.
I suspect she has a life of her own. But, hope she add us to her agenda.
Stephen and Evie Colbert=couple goals that NO ONE can deny
Two most wholesome couples in America: Stephen and Evie; Gomez and Morticia.
So true :-)

It is fair to call her America's sweetheart. I click every video with Evie because the chemistry between her and Stephen helps remind my face it can smile.
Very underrated comment
I love hearing Evie laugh in the background! That she can still laugh after all these years is absolutely fabulous! They are obviously SO good together!
@@JoySongDesigns Indeed they are -- and Stephen calls Evvie "America's Sweetheart," because she's obviously still his; bless these two delightful souls.
If every man had a woman like her in their lives the world would be a better place.
@@duke9173 Everyone needs a person to love that wholeheartedly, indeed, regardless of gender -- but I will say that Stephen and Evvie make long-term heterosexual pairing look like the joy it can be at its best.
Evie's the world's sweetheart. Im european and we adore her just as much here.
Totally agreeing from the Netherlands!
...and Italy! 😉👌
And the UK!
And France!
And Germany
Evie and Stephen is the best couple I've seen in Late Night.
I’m not going to argue with that lol but have you seen
Kimmel and Guillermo?
@@andrewstone6649 Conan and Andy
Stephen gets so giddy when Evie comes on the show. He wants so bad for her to enjoy herself, and she does, and he's so happy. Like a nerd seeing their wife/gf having fun showing them their favorite board game.
You can tell the quality of a man by those he associates with. Stephen's got Evie and Jon. What more can I say? I love them both
I hope Evie stays a regular part of the show even after all the covid-19 regulations are lifted 🙏
I worry if they just get her in for the ratings. She may not want to be there so frequently.
Me too! Their dynamic is great and she’s such a good sport about it.
Me too. She is soooooooooooooooooooo lovely and adorable.
stephen just pullin out shakespeare quotes to flatter evie.. he is the king of romance
Best thing about the last year: Late night became personal.
- Jimmy Fallon walking with his wife and answering questions
- Colbert doing holiday carts with Evie and openly flirting.
- James Corden having fun with the whole crew and even getting to know the cameramen
- Seth Meyers slowly going crazy and starting to talk to a painting of a sea captain and a wooden duck.
What else did I miss?
Good list! But you can't leave out Jon Batiste being given our full attention so we got to know what a wonderful wholesome human being he is, instead of him being stuck in a corner of the studio doing his musical tricks
- Trevor Noah and the Daily Show correspondents doing zoom calls from home including Desi's and Roy's kids.
- Add Seth and his crew also laughing away with each other more and more. Is that breaking the 5th wall?
@@geertbeerens826 We also get to actually see "Stay Human" when they play, while before they were always in the dark.
Getting to know Jimmy Kimmel and his beautiful family. Seeing that Billy is doing well after starting life needing heart surgery 🕊❤☀️
One of Seth Meyer's writers -- Amber Ruffin -- getting her own show. She is a national treasure! 😊👍
Please keep her on the show forever. She's making the world better.
The only things more beautiful than the obvious love that they share are Evie and the way he looks at her. It's not just the love, it's the genuine liking of each other that makes them so precious to watch. That's the kind of marriage that makes this world a better place. The fact that they have kids who were nurtured in the secure environment of that love gives me more hope for what the future holds and the people that will be in it.
yes! people like that having children is a gift. As I wrote that reminds me of the movie Idiocracy, the premise of the movie that is. Man, did that film turn into a documentary or what
I feel like once a day Evie and Stephen make each other laugh until they cry and that's why they are perfect.
El the same time and I can
Evie: "We are going home together."
Stephen: "Cut! That's a wrap!"
This is the level of a relationship I hope I can have one day.
Evie: "That's true I'm a bad speller."
Stephen: "But your a wonderful person."
How sweet! I thought they were gonna kiss each other.❤️
They dialled it back for the cameras.
Strphen & Evie are a tesm!

Evie laughing in the background has been the best part of the show during this pandemic.
Soooo truuuuue

As happy as I’ll be when Late Show goes back to normal, we can’t lose Evie!!! America’s Sweetheart!!!! She’ll just have to be Stephen’s sidekick and sit next to him every show!!
Can she play the piano and give Jon Batiste a break now and then?
Evie: "We are going home together"
Stephen: "If you know what I mean!"
My mother is a retired microbiologist, so no she doesn't think I "could see here if I really wanted to." It's more like "don't you dare come down here! Traveling through areas with comunity spread are you insane?" Got to love my ma.
Hope you get to see her soon.
the show is always better with Evie. Hearing her laugh in the background is the best! Happy Mothers day Evie!
Agreed. Happy Mathers day Evie! They are a sweet couple.
Steven is such an awesome guy, it's amazing that Evie still manages to be his better half! An early Happy Mother's Day to her, and all the moms out there.
I think they should write a book on marriage.
And for anyone who says they are putting on a show for the camera, you can’t fake that kind of chemistry. Been married for 7 years and it’s work. It’s love, but it’s work. Sometimes it seems like a lot of work and sometimes it’s easy peesy. The only advice I can give is to practice patience- you will get better and patience is definitely something that needs practice. (And obviously sometimes that’s not the problem and it’s best to part ways-if the compromise is too much)I was married before for a couple years when I was in my 20’s and we both lacked patience.
Stephen and Evelyn have been married for 28 years, I’d bet they’d have some great advice.
Seven whole years, huh?
I'd read a marriage book from the Colberts!
So true, Leslie, it's forty years now with my wife and I don't want to miss even a split second. Patience and respect, just that. Love is the best teacher
@@craigfelter I was not at all trying to say that was a long time. I know it’s not. I was just stating what I had learned from my past mistakes and present situation. In fact, I feel like where we are at now is easier than the first couple of years because of that patience.
Though, I will admit that children and age helps with patience as well. I was simply putting out there that that’s something I’ve learned by experience. Then also adding that a couple like Stephen and Evey would have an entire book to write on what they have learned.
How long have you been married and what advice do you have for someone like myself who’s been married “a whole 7 years” or for a couple just entering marriage?
@@Pussel 🥰 that is wonderful. 40 years is quite a story!
My mother is no longer here. And during this lockdown hearing Evie laugh just off camera, is it comforting sound. She reminds me so much of my Mom. Just putting that out to the universe. Thank you, Mrs Colbert for being there for me. 💖 Happy mother's Day 💖

On dolly parton, she also started the dolly parton imagination library, which works with communities around the world improve childhood literacy by providing 1 free book per month for the first 5 years of a child's life.
