    Hi Jean, this is so cute! And I can think of a million uses for it! Thanks for showing us how to do it with fat qtr if we don’t have the placemats on hand.
    I didn’t get notified of these two videos this time. I always have before. Watching in the middle of the night because I can’t sleep, and was surprised. I saw a pretty project and squinted to see who made it, and it was you!
    It’s been many years since I’ve used iron on vinyl so I guess they’ve changed the application process. Before, they had you iron it on first, then remove the paper backing after; that way there was no chance of getting the vinyl melted on your iron. I used it on the outside of checkbook covers, over pretty calico, so that it could be wiped clean and also was more sturdy than without. Lasted a long time. And was much prettier than the ugly-ish ones you get from the bank, lol.
    I think your bags would make great gifts and also will be nice for small crochet, knitting, or cross stitch projects. I can’t wait to try this! I’ve sort of lost my mojo/sewjo too. I’ve been facing down many problems and it just makes you feel blucky! 😬 (Thats a word. If not, I just made it up, lol!)

    As I was watching yo make this bag, I noticed that it looked like your iron would almost fit inside. Maybe it would need to be slightly larger? But I have the Oliso mini iron, which is not all that mini, but is definitely smaller. Anyway, I was thinking that if we lined it with that padded silver fabric used for ironing boards and potholders, then it would make a great travel pouch for our irons. I have been wanting to make one of those for awhile now, and your pouch looks like the right shape! And, if we EVER get to travel again, it would be great for taking to quilt classes and traveling. I never use a hotel iron anymore, because once I did, for a new blouse to wear to the convention and dirty water came out and stained my new blouse! I had to hurry up and wash out the stain and dry it with the blow dryer and it was more wrinkly that it started out! So now I take my own iron!

      @jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory  Před 3 lety

      After I read this, I got out my bag and tried my LARGE iron. IT was a bit small for my big iron, but if I make it slightly larger with the silver padded stuff, it would work great ~ with attached handles on it! THanks for the idea:)
