Be aware ~ I like to chat and probably repeat myself over and over, (and stutter sometimes), and if this annoys you, then view elsewhere - but, if patient, you hopefully will learn a new method or technique!

Less is not more, MORE IS MORE! And that's OK. Some people get stuff but don't appreciate or take care of all of it. I'm glad you miss your stuff, it shows you never tired of it.
Oh I LOVED my 'stuff'!! Precious linens, china, rugs, lamps, furniture, paintings, etc., were the things we couldn't bring here. It's O K A Y to a great extent ~needs, must......but I DO get twinges of "oh....I REALLY miss XYZ......!! :)
I collect teapots and teacups!! I share this with you because I know how you feel!! I love the teapots in your quilt-and just think they will not break or chip!! Love and miss you Jean!! Vicki
Well done on your teapot quilts....I think these would make a lovely gift to a tea lover with a fancy tea cup and speciality teas...thank you for sharing your story about your precious plates....I understand how much they meant to you and how hard it was to give them away or they got misplaced...
My better half has a collection of plates with eagles on them and when we moved I didn't want to display them BUT I knew how much he loves them so now they are on plate stands on top of a cabinet so he can see them daily....
Enjoy the week end.
Aw you are a good one!! Little things! Who knows, the eagles just MIGHT grow on you!! LOL! Thanks Terrie:)
You are so creative when designing and mixing and and matching fabric! Genius.
Thanks Colleen:)
Hi. Hello. Howdy. I drink tea and water. I love tea pots. You did a great job. Thanks.
Thank you! 😊
I love the mug rugs. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching Diana!
Those are really pretty. Elegant looking. Nice workmanship.
Thank you! Cheers!
Love love love the teapots Jean ❤wonderful idea
Thanks so much! 😊
I've really enjoyed this video! Many of us that have down-sized do miss our things.
Glad you enjoyed it Sara:) Thanks and yes, our 'things' were just that .....OURS! :)
Its okay to mourn the loss of the treasures you had to let go! It will take you about 2 years to start to feel better about downsizing. Prayer to Jehovah really helped me when I was missing something or realized after looking for a certain treasure that it was gone forever. Hope this helps you! thank you for the inspiration to downsize and keep sewing!!!
I pray every day and I know that in the near future "He will satisfy the desire of every living thing"!! I cling to that Hope!! Not too long!! :) And after all, we are just living in a 'system of T H I N G S" ~ just "things"! Soon to be gone!! Welcome Paradise:) Thanks Moriah:)
HMM! Downsizing! think of it this way. you can downsize when your dead and buried. Otherwise! Ask anyone if they would miss their thumb? You think you need it, you could imagine doing a lot of things with it. but you'll get over it surely, but slowly in 2 yrs. these are gifts that God allowed into our lives for a purpose!
I understand. The same thing happened to me my husband and I moved after 35 years in one home. My husband had to actually get rid of mine because I couldn’t bare it. Your teapots are darling. Keep your chin up start a new collection. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sorry to hear that ~ such a wrench!! I was physically ill a bit during the downsizing and 'getting rid of'.........it was hard, especially when people KEPT saying "It's Just Stuff'. Duh. Like we don't know that ~ but it's OUR stuff!! Hugs:)
A blank wall.... OH NO!!! lol, I love how you created these beauties in memory of your plate collection. I do remember watching your downsizing videos and how you parted with all your beautiful things collected over the years. There is nothing wrong at all with missing your things. Your new mini quilts will look stunning on your wall. Have a great weekend. Nicole
Thanks Nicole!! People used to come into our home and start to twitch!! So Much Stuff!! LOL! But I loved it and didn't worry about what others thought...they weren't cleaning it, dusting it, maintaining it, buying it, moving it etc., so why did they have an opinion?!!? LOL!
I love your video. Thank you for sharing. 🌸🌹🌺🌷🌼💐
Thanks for watching!
I know just what you mean about missing things you've had to part with! I LOVE your little teapots and what a great idea to draw around them to give them an extra pop! Love you! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much Patricia! 😊
I clicked on the show more part just before the comment section and this is what I came up with. you are just so cute!! You stated that you repeat yourself and stutter. I thought you were just thinking out loud when you repeat yourself sometimes and other times I thought you do it because you know I'm watching and have to hear it more than once to catch on. As far as the stuttering part goes, again I thought you were deciding exactly which sequence to say something:) Also, your little laugh is so sweet and adorable. I smile the whole time I'm listening to you. Point is, you go on being you and keep your special ways and we'll all learn from you. We will especially learn to laugh because you do.
Aw you are so kind Darla! My 'way' of 'teaching' is certainly not for everybody (boy, have I got some NASTY comments), but those lovely folks who don't mind, actually have told me they have learned a thing or two!! LOL! Go figure!! I can only be me! :) Thanks again for taking time to watch me! :)
i love you work you all good hugs from pam i love your video keep it coming
Thanks so much Pam:)

I walk my Airedale every morning! It changes my whole life! Helps with high blood pressure, avoids Diabetes and helps with low energy and depression! It IS AMAZING how going outside helps. I love your idea about plates! I also have teapots! I will try to make a table runner of teapots, plates and tea cups! Great idea
It's so wonderful to be out and about ~ we were stuck inside for so long, (even though we are lucky to live near no one!) Nature is calling and we answer:) Thanks Natasia!:) Take care:)

Pretty as everything you do. I love small quilts and mug rugs. This week I made a little table topper with a heart as a present for some friends wedding in July and I get all their friends to sign with textile markers.
Also I have Karen Kay Buckley’s Scissors in several sizes and I just looooove them.
Her scissors are THE BEST!! I'm sure your friends loved the topper:)

Hi Jean. It’s 1.00 pm in Melbourne Australia. I have been watching your videos for a few weeks now and have never actually seen you sew anything yet. I really enjoyed this one, so thank you for sharing. I admire your excellent patience and love that you show toward your precious Maxwell. Very pretty! 💖💕 I've made a few mug rugs to practice applique, free motion quilting and binding. Have a great rest of the weekend!
Wonderful! They are WONDERFUL to practice on:) A lot of look for not a lot of effort! And if someone is just learning, they aren't wasting a lot of fabric or time, if it's not their thing at the end of the day! Thanks Lavinia:)
They are sweet! And so creative but we've come to expect that from you, Jean!
Oh thank you!
These are so charming, and definitely reminiscent of beautiful China. I want to make some tea mugs for my daughters and grandchildren.

Hello, this is a wonderful idea for a Mug/rug placemat anything? 😁 Thank you! 💕 Erica x
I think so Erica!! Thank you:)
Jean these are so pretty, very vintage looking 😍 ,your fabrics are beautiful. It would be lovely if you were to go to a thrift shop and find your missing plates 🍽, we'll have to start a social media search for Jean's teacup plates 😘
LOL! Can you imagine if someone FOUND my tea cup plates!!! LOL! LOL!
You a such a good instructor! Please do more sewing projects. Pittsburgh, PA
Thanks Rosalie! I have done dozens, perhaps hundreds of sewing projects over the years, here on my CZcams channel which you can refer back to. 2020 sort of did me in and I'm just recovering now!! LOL!
@@jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory Oh yes I've seen your other projects I just want to see more.
We moved about the same time as you. Yes I also miss my stuff. Yes I still have a few boxes. Yes I miss my walls!
Our walls!!! Give us back our walls!! LOL LOL! Oh well, we both survived...and have our memories! Thanks Loretta:)
I miss my walls also. So much lovely stuff and no place to hang them. I understand completely.
Seriously. How do people live without 'walls'!!?!?! LOL! LOL!! Thanks Janet:)
Jean, that’s a very creative solution to your loss of the plates. 🌸 💕 So pretty! 🌷
Aw thanks so much:)
I love it! I'm sorry you had to get rid of everything 😔 we collect so much over the years, and in the end.........
Yup. In the end...you can't take it with you:)
I have half made quilt for my mum that is tea cups. It was based off a mother’s day card I bought. It’s on my UFO list. I will have to send you a photo when done, as I’m sure you would appreciate it.
I would love to see it! Send me a pic to: Truelovequiltsforyou@gmail.com
Less is more- Ha! You can't have everything, where would you put it - in the basement, the attic, and in a nearby storage unit!! I'm sure the items you donated are being well loved by someone like us. All my favorite items are thrift shop, garage sale or auction finds. I haven't reached storage unit level yet, but excess stuff is in clear bins on shelves so when I want a change of scene, so to speak, I can pull stuff out and store/restore the items I take down, and the longer it's been since I displayed an item, the more excited I am when I "find" it again! Love the teapots, they will make a brilliant display!
Thanks Becky! I have done that exact thing...get out the things I DO have in storage and change things up:)
I didn't get to comment for a while, not long had My baby. Your "stuff"was lovely. We are not materialistic but it was difficult you having to give them up
Congrats!! I DO miss my things, but as I said, am very grateful for what I do have:)
They're really pretty!
I think its ok to miss treasures youve had to part with. Minimalism is ok, but I'm more of a maximalist 😂🤣 ...They say "nature abhors a vacuum" so I reckon its ok if we abhor a blank wall 😊
Thanks so much Jane!! I love that saying!! :)
I like your personality alooot...me same as you..in too many things
Oh really! There are two of us?!!? LOL!
I understand you miss your stuff but I have to say that I'm a bit jalouse that you can be in the woods every day so you can be nostalgic but think that when you close a window, a door wil open.... and I think this place is your door.... maybe.... I do think so.. love you 💕
Aw you are right Brigitte! We are very grateful:)
Aw Jean I am so sorry you had to part with a lot of your treasures. I'm sure the people that received them will equally love and cherish them. Your little teapot quilts are so adorable. I will be hunting to find some suitable fabric to make some myself. Loved the wine bottle holder yesterday too. Thank you for sharing your talent with us in CZcams land.
PS Any news of Maxwell's Diploma?
Thanks Anita! Hopefully someone's dining room walls are being graced with 4 little teacup plates! :) As far as Maxwell's diploma....it's an ongoing 'fight'...as we have enlisted the help of our Local government Representative to find out what the actual Law is. Even with the LAW on our side, the school(s) are balking. Sigh....we don't want to take it any further, but Ian is getting a bit of a determined look on his face!! LOL! I'm all for throwing my hands up and saying 'we fought the Law and the Law won.'....but he's having none of it. I'll keep you posted.!!
@@jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory you see Jean Ian is a stubborn Brit! He will win in the end, he will fight tooth and nail for his boy. 🤞👍J
Can you make a video..about how you raise 10 children..so inspirational to me ..God help you..your an amazing
Yes I can ~ I don't know if 'inspirational' is what I would call it ~ EXHAUSTING is more like it!! LOL! LOL! Thank you again:)
Where did you move to? Our son lives near Pottstown Pa
Your teapots are adorable. Are you going to hang them over the
door space you mentioned. Thanks fr sharing. Sorry you are
missing your plates.
Thank you so much Linda! Yes, I found a bit of wall!! LOL!
HOW BEAUTIFUL.. My how I know how you feel.
Thank you Cherie! I appreciate that
Could not get template from free vector. Can put the templates you have so we print it out?
I found dozens of them! I typed in free teapot vector: Hope this helps! www.google.com/search?sxsrf=ALeKk02diwVRt5OE-4Rvk5AE58uOX7WKaA:1624660170478&source=univ&tbm=isch&q=free+teapot+vector&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj56t3i6rPxAhVLKVkFHSOSCWoQjJkEegQIBxAC&biw=2400&bih=1171
Could you do a full house tour please? Don't know if you did one before.
I've done a few rooms but never a whole house tour! Our house isn't all that big!
i feel your pain on getting ride of your stuff cause they are lovely and memories. maybe the thrift store still has them.
Thanks Kathleen! Maybe I'll go and have a look ~ but I doubt it ~ it was over a year ago
