Just came home from Block Island today. It was a beautiful day on the Island. Unfortunately this year the beautiful hotel burnt down. The big white hotel that you first see coming off the ferry

Bobby, I hope you’re making positive progress on your ship. Still feeling your pain. On another note, I flew to KBID in a 172 sometime in the Fall of 1971 for that hamburger we talk about in GA. I departed on 28 and at about 40 feet in the air I was hit by a strong southerly wind. Talk about tendency to weathervane! Fortunately, I was able to react quickly enough to avoid a problem. Found flying in the Narragansett Bay Area to be interesting. I enjoy both channels! Fair winds and keep the blue side up!

We had a beach house in ri across from block island on roy carpenter Beach. We lost it due to hurricane but the memories there were wonderful. Block islands just beautiful..

Grew up in CT, block island fishing and visiting is a right of passage, same as Martha’s Vinyard etc.......was just in RI this past October with old friends. We did a fishing charter out of Galilee .....saw your video of the boat needing extensive repairs. Hope you fight for the insurance money.

I was born and raised in Connecticut, I went to Westerly often during the summers. I liked New London and Groton area, I never made it to Block Island. My sister likes Block Island and goes with her husband every chance they get.
