I love how you find solutions to all of the little hitches you encounter in these builds. Awesome work 💯👍
Thanks 👍
I'm 79 and an old Hot Rodder from the 60s, and I must say, you never cease to amaze me Lee....fantastic workmanship my friend....🙂
Many thanks!
Very nice fabrication and problem solving , excellent job explaining the process too. 💯🆒
Thank you very much!
Pretty fancy fab work there Lee, I'm sure your customer will love the up grade, Keep up the great work. Cheers
Thanks
Hey Lee, great video as usual. A suggestion on the brake pedal stop, make it a multi purpose unit and mount the brake light switch to it. 👍🏼
You’re not the only one to suggest that.
I usually use a pressure switch T’d in to the brake lines for brake lights.
Nice job as usual Lee 👍 you put out some fine work from your little shop 😎
I like your vids as they are no bullshit just info and great content. Well done
Thank you
always great work
good show😎👍
Dude!!! Great video!!! That answers the question!!!! How are your going hang the pedals!!! that's different both pedals on out-side of the steering column!!!✌️
That shows how much planning and thinking goes into any part of a build. Well done.
I enjoy watching you design, redesign and fab these projects. Your skills are amazing.
Thank you very much!
Good info. I just fabricated the brake assembly for my Model A hotrod. Ran into the same issue with the pushrod releasing. My fix was the same as yours. Great minds...
Perfect
Your attention to detail is spot on 👨🏻🎨
Thabks
Always look forward to your videos. Adult version of saturday cartoons.
Haha thanks
Wow very good job firewall looks factory well done. Proud of you Lee 🛠️🛠️🇨🇦
Thanks Badge
Just amazed at how beautiful that firewall looks - and I for one am glad you could keep that bead roll'd detail ! "Master" - full work as usual : P. This got me thinking - what would a show-rod - custom look like coming out of your imagination? I know it's a lot of work and more importantly time - but I would love to see what you conjured up! Thanks.
That’s a good question. I’ve always wanted to build a 60’s styled bubble top hot rod. Like Ed Roth inspired. Several years ago Shannon had another 61 Comet parts car, and I was tempted to save the body hulk with the idea of cutting it all up to make a hot rod out of. Sectioned and narrowed to fit on a Model A chassis with a chromed out FE Ford and some sort of bubble top or speed boat styled windshield. Maybe one day haha
That sounds like it would've been cool. Ian Roussel on his TV show Full Custom Garage season 1 episode 9 "Custom bubble top build". Shows how he perfected a bubble fab. That being said - your '29 Ford roadster pick-up had the "Show-rod" - feel to it(for me). The attention to detail and creative fab work was looking high end custom. And the '32 sedan is turning out to be a kick-ass hot rod. Thanks Lee - you put out classy videos! @@LGKustoms
You never fail to impress me with your skills. Great job again!
Thank you! Cheers!
You might need to add a doubler brace to reinforce the firewall between the pedal assy bracket and firewall to keep it from fatigue and crack in the future. It's just asking a lot from 18 guage sheet metal and the pedals are really long which equals leverage on the pivot point. Just my opinion Lee, looks good tho sir.
I think it’ll be okay, the bead rolling adds a ton of strength, plus the brake pedal side of the assembly is butted right up to where the firewall breaks almost 45° which again adds a ton of strength.
Looking good! nice planning an workmanship throughout!
You could have moved the pedals to the left and given yourself more room for throttle peddle 👍👍👍
Plenty of room for a throttle pedal still
That turned out nice and neat. That little bead roll looks factory. And mimics the passenger side. I’m having brake issues with the suburban. I keep loosing fluid from the front half for front brakes. It has new flex and hard lines so I’m hoping it’s the crush washers. There’s always something. Take care.
Front brakes are over rated.
Ha ha that’s what I’ll tell the insurance. How did the accident happen sir. Well the dog knocked the cooking stove over that was heating my pasta up. And the boiling water went all over my foot. And steamed the widow scream up. So I couldn't see the red light. O and front brakes are over rated. lol.
With that brake pedal stop you just made, you might as well mount the brake light switch there.
Are you going to have room for the gas peddle ?
Of course
What is a Fargo?
It’s a city in North Dakota. It’s also a movie, even a TV series. And it’s a brand of truck.
You have no choice but the pedals being offset to the left of the column would ruin the back of anyone driving long distances over winding roads
It’s still a significant improvement over driving long distances over winding roads in stock form
@LGKustoms In Australia the Torana XU1 raced at Bathurst successfully with a terrible seating position so it is manageable. The truck would be great for a left foot braker with auto trans
Brake line connection on the lhs ok for room? Clutch looks a bit close.
Exactly, a far upgrade@@LGKustoms
