- Because of the size and available PSU limitations the hp gaming pc isn't as straight forward to upgrade like a custom full atx pc. Yet choosing the right gears can boost up its potential and ultimately we can have a very capable gaming machine. Previously we upgraded the storage and ram and now the final touch would be a psu and gpu. Here we put a Hp 500 watt 80plus gold standard psu with two 8 pin pci connectors and a sapphire AMD RX 6600xt 8 GB gpu. Although the gpu i selected performed good but my ultimate recommendation would be a nvidia rtx 3060 or 3060ti.

It's not so much as just high wattages but the rated amps supplied to the card as per requirements. The 6600XT is a very good card in both performance and value.
Well said. Yes the sufficient amp is also needed to ve drawn. Fortunately the 500 watt amp rating is just enough to power the 6600xt . I was thinking to switch 3060ti or 3070 but seeing the 6600xt performance I'm sticking with it for some time .
Can i use any L05757 800? Because i see them, but they say say they only work for other HP PC's.
I believe as long as it has the necessary pins to plug in the motherboard it should work. The little white pins that connect with the mobo is crucial here.
The psu I'm using is not listed as supported with the baker motherboard I have ( on hp support list ) but it fits perfectly . And it's been months i haven't have any issue
where can I find the same 500w psu, used in the video? Hp out of stock for the one i was looking for, cant seem to find it anywhere.
I will try to find some link for you.
