2 questions from someone wanting to design their own pattern. How do you start designing a new pattern? Is there a particular software program that you prefer?
We use illustrator but a lot of other designers I know use and love affinity designer since it’s just a one time fee and not a monthly fee like illustrator
It’s worth asking your fave shops if they offer wholesale. Usually you just have to have your tax ID and purchase the minimum order quantity to qualify. Otherwise alibaba is a wholesale site but it’s coming from overseas.
I agree Lindsey that picking out all the materials and supplies for a project takes the most time.
