  • This video only covers adding a drawstring closure to the top of our H2o 2Go Sling pattern which is NOT a part of the original design. The pattern can be purchased at lindshandmade.com
If you want to see this bag made from start to finish, you can find that video tutorial here: • Make the New H2O 2GO S...
    Needed supplies for this add-on:
-Ripstop nylon fabric cut 16"w by 6"h
-24" of Paracord/ribbon/cording etc (your choice)
    -Plastic toggle (optional)
The down and dirty instructions for future reference:
1.) Cut your liner piece an extra 1/4" taller. Measure down from the top rounded cut out part 11/4" and cut your liner into 2 pieces.
2.) Finish the 2 short ends of the ripstop nylon piece by folding in 1/4" and then again another 1/4" and sew.
3.) Fold the ripstop in half wrong sides together hotdog style, and lay the cording inside tucked up into the fold. Sew a 1/2" casing below the cord and baste the 2 raw bottom edges together.
4.) Line up the raw edges of the ripstop, with the top raw edge of the bottom portion of the lining, centered, then lay the top portion of the lining down on top, right sides together, sandwiching the ripstop and sew 1/4"
5.) Press the seam down toward the bottom and topstitch and 1/8" from the seam.
6.) Then resume the bag construction per written pattern instructions.

Thanks for the video. I think there's a lot of us gals out there that would love it if you could do the gusset hack the one with the deeper gusset for the H2O front pocket. I'm sure that would spark new interest for the pattern.

Hi just wondering if the lining is originally 1/4 of an inch smaller than the exterior then I add a 1/4 of an inch to the bottom then when I piece it back together at a 1/4 inch Seam allowance wouldn’t I be taking a total 1/2 an inch? So wouldn’t the lining now be a 1/2 an inch smaller than the exterior? Am I confused?

Yes it is smaller to start to allow the liner to sit nicely in the bag and not be baggy 👍🏻

I agree with what you are saying. So maybe add 1/2 inch to get back to the original 1/4 inch shorter.

In the original instructions from Dana she added a 1/2", not 1/4", so that's where the confusion is. You could use 1/8" seam when connecting if you have used a cricut to cut (as it won't allow an add of 1/2" due to mat restriction); or if you cut by hand add 1/2" and do 1/4" seam to connect the ripstop in.
