Perez #19 place
I’m convinced more and more that Perez was kept on more to keep Max onboard, but now if Max leaves Red Bull are dead in the water.
Nah he exist because his father are politicians who was backed by oil and gas and Mexico bank... Actually, Perez actually got in F1 not because he is good driver , he was paid driver in 2010s era... Meanwhile at that time, a lot of talented driver cant enter because they have no backing like him...
Never forget the money. F1 is ALL ABOUT MONEY.
Max: I want a teammate who will never challenge my championship.
Checco: I promise we will never challenge for the constructors championship.
You don't actually believe Max is afraid of Perez or anyone else 😅.
@@TerryKnight-hw3pg. Agreed, it’s an awful take, especially when Max straight up said:
‘I don’t care who red bull puts in that seat, I’ll beat him anyway’
Yeah pal, I don’t think Max is shaking on his boots at who gets the other car.
Alonso was ranked the #2 best driver of 2023 at the end of the season by you + most media outlets, but people are suddenly acting like he’s done after a few poor showings. He’s still up what 48-17 or something to Stroll.
That’s precisely the reason people are saying that. He was incredible last year and even at the start of this year, so this sudden drop off is quite worrying.
It’s kind of like if Max would start finishing 4th or 5th every single race, we would all be saying he isn’t performing at the level we were used to and thus some would say he is washed.
It's because Aston Martin (Lawrence Still Money put racing) has upgraded their car,but not well enough to keep up with the rest of the team, who are all proving quickly and narrowing the field.
Aston seem to believe that, in the end, driver Stroll, through many, many more races, practice, qualifying /will improve him greatly & put him near the top……can’t imagine any driver being given so much time to do this…..
I'd bet money that the reason for Alonso's poor form is that aston martin is shifting the car to be based around Lance's driving style, thus you get a car that Fernando can't miraculously bring to the top anymore. Shame honestly
@@LOVE-VIBES-X-PROJECT-CARSif you think teams develop to a certain drivers style you understand nothing. Teams develop the fastest car no matter the driver. If a given design is faster and another driver can extract more out of it then it is what it is.

It makes no sense at all signing a contract then threatening the driver with terminating it a month later
Cus on the financial side, checo is bringing millions per month from Disney, Telcel, Mobil, Claro, Nescafé and KitKat so if red bull were to sack Perez with a clause they have to pay checo lesser than what was offered so hence the money that had to be fork out to cancel the contract of checo can be easily taken back from the profits of the sponsors of checo and dont forget red bull have Daniel who has lots of good sponsors too that's why they are confident in case they sack checo they have Daniel for the sponsors and money coming in too so there will still be profits
I seem to recall hearing somewhere that Marko almost had a deal with Sainz but that Horner stopped that and signed Perez instead. I believe he's also the one most opposed to Tsunoda. I'm definitely starting to feel like Horner is making decisions that are more in his own interest than that of the team.
Well horner and checo go way back
Being a Checo fan is brutal.
Look at his reputation at the end of 2020 vs now, and his brilliant performances in that Racing Point. I genuinely think it would have been better for him overall to have retired then, much as it pains me to say.
imagine the pain of us Ricciardo fans, imo his stocks were highest after 2020, P5 in WDC with the 5th fastest car in Renault was as impressive as his RB winning years, even Ferrari were interested but they went ahead with Sainz & the Mclaren misery days started :(
thats easy for you to say, I doubt you would just walk away from a drive in Formula 1 if you were in his shoes
Because his great in a midfield car, but when push comes to shove his shit in a great car. His nothing more then a midfield driver.
His reputation is simple, the race driver than is a good little boy for the team and not try and beat his team mate. Nothing more than a wing man. Should be there to win
Sergio should retire & be with his niños. Not just him. A few drivers should retire. Ricciardo should go too. Bottas I think should take up cycling.
I mean do they really want to toil at the back? Give those seats to some young talent to cut their teeth
I don't understand how RB, a filthy rich organization, decided to keep Perez mainly based on his financial support. Having a driver underperforming is just bad advertising.
Horner money hungry and Perez with Riccardo are his backups .
it's not his financial support, that's "just" something between 30 and 40 million. It's his commercial value. For the around half a billion Spanish speaking people in the world, Checo is the perfect advertisement tool. I've been to a few south american countries in the last few years, and it's Checo's face everywhere on billboards and in adverts. If Red Bull can keep him on until he retires and he signs a coulthard like lifetime ambassador deal, we're talking about hundreds of millions if not billions in value for the next couple of decades, well worth missing out on a constuctors championship for a year or two.
Checo is having the exact same season as last year -- starting strong then cratering -- which everyone seems to have forgotten about. Including Red Bull when they extended his contract...
It’s worse than last year. At least last year he was on pole and won a few races even if Max had issues.
@@paperplane-db8qf Checo is also not going to coast to second place this year...good point.
Never forget the money. F1 is ALL ABOUT MONEY.
@@alanserjeant4947 It will definitely cost Redbull much more money and sponsorship if they lost WCC
Checo is 8-3 in qualifying to Sargeant right now lmao
When Checo’s contract extension was announced, Red Bull proved to me that they had no balls to be proactive rather than reactive. Race after race, he fails to quality into Q3 (which is where he should be), and after Max had his tangle with Lando in Austria, he was nowhere to pick up the pieces, finishing behind a Haas, of all things.
Max can’t keep covering the cracks in Red Bull’s armor if the other teams continue to make gains on them and keep bleeding away points in the Constructor’s due to Checo blunders. It also brings into question “What is the purpose of the RB team?”, and the rest of the Red Bull Driver program. I bet you that’s why both Albon and Gasly left because the whole thing has stagnated.
It’s only a matter of time once the Red Bull Empire comes crashing down.
Lmao he just crashed in Quali

I'm a big Checo fan but I can't see why he should keep his seat....
Is there a rule against putting a driver in for 1 race? Like if Red Bull put Danny Ric in the car for 1 race to see how he does then the same with Yuki and maybe Lawson. And if any of them do well put them in for more races and see who's best and if their better then Perez give them the drive. That way either Yuki gets his big break that could backfire like Albon and Gasly or Ricciardo goes back to his old ways and Lawson gets his debut.
Teams can have a maximum of (I believe) 4 drivers a year. So last year AT started with Yuki and De Vries. Replaced De Vries with Ricciardo. Then subbed Lawson with Ricciardo. By the rules, if Lawson had gotten injured the inly driver who could fill the grid slot would be De Vries...
@@deangrierson4509 so just Max, Perez, Yuki and Ricciardo.
It's a stupid idea to evaluate any driver on just one race weekend (case in point: Nyck de Vries). You need to give them at least 3-4 weekends to get a sense of where they stand.
@@rjharikumar6555 then more than 1 race stints then
How far away Bahrain 2020 feels right now. To me, this is yesterday.
Honestly if they have kept him this long then they were always going to retain him .. in the few years he’s been there , red bull know how bad he is vs max and common sense dictates he’s not going to turn into a world beater overnight .. red bull are clearly ok with that so I don’t think they will ever remove him
He is a pay driver and they love that extra cash. Red Bull would hire Lance Stroll if Lawrence didn't buy and own Aston martin.
A contract at Red Bull ain't nothing but a piece of paper at Red Bull.
Unless you are max verstappen
Me: I can tell you a 100 reasons they regret his contract Also me: Clicks video anyways
Watching this after quali makes it so true 😭😭😭
Good job Red Bull don't really care much about the constructors title
Aged like a fine wine this video
You couldn't have timed it better with this video...😂
I believe the reason he's staying is way more simple: he has supported Horner through all of the drama and critique he has been receiving lately, therefore the contract extension. This is probably also why they did leave a tremendous exit clause in terms of performance.
Perez didn't lose Red Bull Constructor's in his first year. He actually won them Driver's by holding up Hamilton so that Masi could then finish the job in the end. Ungrateful Verstappen owes those two his first title.
Holding up Lewis in one race but never taking A SINGLE point from the competition in the whole damn season.
Here after British Quali
Speaking about costing RB a Constructors title back in '21, I think WCC was still on the table in Abu-Dhabi, it's the team that decided to underfuel Perez's car to help Max instead.
Not saying he would have stopped on track in the end (that would have been bigger than Crashgate), just that it makes Checo's defense a bit less impressive from execution perspective. Still cold and calculated from strategy department though.
They were 28 points behind by Abu Dhabi, so even if RB went 1-2, Mercedes only needed 17 points.
@@dragance9995 with Bottas going through the engines and both teams on the ropes in terms of budget cap, a DNF was not impossible. Valtterri finished that race in 6th.
Not asying that this would have been a rational choice, just that a choice was made.
You know you have real problems when Logan Sargent has out qualified you 7 times. Liam Lawson got Max's RB20 for a Filming day test on Tuesday. That sounds familiar aka Ricciardo last year.
Aldas you're hands down my favorite F1 channel. keep up the great work
respect < 3
Checo's current performance is a clear proof that the RB20 could no longer be considered as dominant, they've been caught up by competitions.
"5 hours ago" that didn't age well quickly
And Aldas put this video out BEFORE the Silverstone Grand Prix!
This is the exact reason Red Bull should really put Lawson in VCARB for the next season. If the poor performance of Perez continues and Lawson excels in VCARB, he could replace Perez in 2026. And if he doesn't, grant Perez his 1 year extension.
Perfect timing
I find it hilarious that this came out literally before Perez binned his car in the gravel at Copse
Contract makes sense when he's the #1 biggest tshirt and energy drink seller.
I hope Max leaves them at the end of the year and Red Bull starts 2025 with Perez and a driver like Sargeant.
Max to Mercedes. Its time.
Redbull knew exactly what they signed up for so I don't think they can be disappointed. It's the fans who are disappointed
- sponsors and money, known and unknown
- his lack of speed keeps the Verstappen clan "comfortable"
That's it.
Signing Perez for another 2 years is a big win for Red Bull and people don't seem to realize that.
Red Bull is selling cans, not cars. For a car manufacturer, winning the constructors is massive for the brand. For Red Bull however, it's Checo's face on billboards and in adverts all over South and Middle America, not Max's, and that is massive for the brand. What they've done with this contract extension is basically lock him down until he retires and then offer him a lifetime ambassador role, similar to Coulthard. They might lose out on a few millions in prize money in the short term, but in no way does that compare to the money they can make by selling cans through Checo's commercial possibilities for a couple of decades. For us as fans it might not be the best choice, neither for the team, but for the brand it's huge.
Watching this video after he got lapped like 5 times😭lol
Toto Wolff was right: "You change your car because Checo has been saying the kaah is faak!"
That contract is definitely milk and it has aged accordingly
I think what we can extract is also that the RB is a beast of a car, it has the potential to be the best car but seems highly difficult to drive.
According to what Albon said.
Red Bull have their wings clipped.
They didn't sign Perez, they signed Telcel.
Ngl max carrying redbull is giving marc marquez carrying repsol honda vibes
Red Bull clearly happy with Max being happy (no competition from teammate), so why not? As long as perez still scoring points and Max winning, RB would likely win constructor anyway
Well that's the problem, Perez ISN'T scoring that many points. 15 points in last 5 races. They'll probably still win both championships thanks to their performance at the start, but unless they make another OP car for next year, they're in trouble if Perez keeps this form.
Perez is going to cost Red Bull the 2025 Constructors title.
Not just Perez, the whole team themselves will cost even more. U cannot every time hoping Max cover Red Bull's mess. Since Marko and Horner tension brought to light in March and Newey left Red Bull, it is only matter of time for Merc, Mclaren to overtake Red Bull
not only that, he will win them extra development time because of that in a year before a new ruleset and will sell millions of cans in south and middle America in the mean time.

You called Checo washed in 1000 different ways.
Aldas how do you get all the amazing videos and photos from current f1 events? Are they all free to use?
Signing Seb would have been a better deal. Two WC’s at different stages of their career. Seb’s technical knowledge would also be great.
Horner is afraid Max might leave for Mercedes so he didn't want to get him a tough teammate.
Hurray 🎉 great to see the old background music back
Simple reason… Max doesn’t want a competitive teammate
"...comfortable environment around Max was the major deciding factor...." This. And Lewis Hamilton was very outspoken about keeping Bottas instead of signing George Russell. Why compete hard against a teammate when you can comfortably go into a race weekend knowing you have a 90% chance of beating said teammate?
If you look at the qualifying records between Perez and Sargeant recently, you could make a genuine case for Sargeant to Red Bull!
The 2021 Red Bull looks so much better
Genuinely never been this early for any youtube video😂
Was a stupid decision to renew him even when they did. No sympathy.
Second driver to Max is a poisoned chalice !
@Aldas i think we need a video explaining the future of the Red Bull driver academy. Given that only Carlos and Max are the only ones from the academy in top teams, it makes me wonder that junior drivers may have lost faith in the academy itself. No driver has been shown the amount of confidence that max was shown. Even Liam is pretty much benched for the next season.
Guess what he qualified P19 again lol😅...This video aged well
They don’t want max to leave.

bro what songs do u use in these videos?
I love em
even though he's been doing poorly, the real thing that's continuing to fuel the fire is having max as his teammate, if it had been someone else rather than max, they would be tanking the hit of not having the strongest car anymore
Who's here after he got eliminated in Q1 AGAIN
Man it just got so much worse lmao. And Ricciardo was directly behind Perez, and saw him go off. It’s hilarious
Just clicked on the video and I know it will all be facts
They probably have a back door in the contract that says if he ends up so far behind that he will still be able to get fired
Imagine Checo and Sainz in RBR for 2025 while Max gets WDC with Mercedes.
Because he sucks…..that’s why😂😂😂
Obviously their highest priority, by a wide margin, is keeping Max happy.
Sainz honestly seemed like a PERFECT choice, like honestly perfect. A driver with lots of good years left, who is a very well rounded driver, but who would likely never actually challenge Max for the driver's championship without a LOT of luck, but he would put more pressure on Max and probably take points away from him now and then.
But... when you have Max Verstappen, I can kinda see why you almost don't care how many points your other driver gives you. Just not crashing too often is probably one of the only things they really care about... and unfortunately, Checo has been getting involved in too many crashes lately.
The Constructor's championship isn't anywhere near as important to Red Bull as the driver's championship is, especially when they already have the prestige of having a driver who is already considered a top contender for GOAT driver status. Nobody who knows anything about the sport would even suggest that Max shouldn't be in the discussion when talking about the greatest drivers of all time.
They probably need the financial stability to finish the development of the new car.
His fall-off is insane. Like nothing ive ever seen
While Max is at RBR, Horner doesn't want two alphas going at each other like Vettel and Webber. He wants a second driver who is content to be a second driver, not some up and coming hotshot who is going to cause issues in the team. Checo knows his place now, and he earns enough points to keep RBR in the constructors
